  1. LuckyPhil's reminder to consider the cost of replacing the factory parts really puts this in perspective. Especially factoring in shipping costs from the two or three suppliers to get those Guzzi parts . . .
  2. Joe has the current batch of V11 gears now. 675£, so no big change. Today, that looked like about $890 US. I also asked for the bronze cam flange, so my order comes to 765£ (~$1,008 US)
  3. Others have installed the bar risers. What is the solution to the throttle cable reach?
  4. Right, so, the later cable (GU01117590) has a steel tube in the cable housing on the throttle control end that is bent nearly 90º, while the ShortFrame cable inserts directly with no bend.
  5. The long frame V11 does have a different cable. I bought one by mistake and it would not work on my ShortFrame Sport. The part number was on the system wrong (not sure if that ever got corrected).
  6. I have fond memories of tearing up the neighborhood with that growl!
  7. Pretty sure that Mattel V-RROOM! was my first "motorcycle(ish) experience." I'm thinking it ran on a couple D-cells . . . Maybe four "C" cells. . .
  8. That is awesome! Fabulous smile!
  9. One more V11 thing I did not know I needed (or desired). Until now . . .
  10. Better "get on the stick", there @Tomchri! Tomorrow is the last day of winter in the northern hemisphere!
  11. This "windshield/flyscreen" from a V11 parted out in Germany looks like a candidate. Appears to be 1999-2001 Sport silver . . . https://www.ebay.com/itm/384510690965?hash=item59869f8695:g:gt8AAOSwlelhmKCF https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/gt8AAOSwlelhmKCF/s-l1600.jpg
  12. That pillion cover is hard to search for because of the color variations. 1999-2001 has four part numbers to cover the four available colors for the Sport and Rosso Mandello. Not sure how many more colors were produced 2002-2005 . . .
  13. Nice! Those look like complete "tail section" or "rear fairing." I was thinking @FreyZI was talking about the small cover for the passenger pillion cover (with the "bum-stop"/ "seat cushion" pad attached)?

    Rubber protection

Thanks for the reminder on the Shin Etsu grease for rubber, @Tomchri! I just gave my upper and lower rear master cylinder boots a good cleaning and "medicinal dose" of Shin Etsu!

    Rubber protection

Our rear brake master cylinder wiring boot is very similar to a 90º fuel injector connector, but rather tall (45mm compared to this boot's 22mm height): https://kojaycat.co.uk/epages/950000457.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/950000457/Products/2w-EV1-Inj-Sup-Boot

Here is the TPS connector boot, 3-way AMP SuperSeal connector boot: UK: https://kojaycat.co.uk/epages/950000457.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/950000457/Products/Sup-3W-Boot AUS: ($45US shipping to the USA!) https://msel.co.nz/straight-ribbed-boot-for-3-way-junior-timer-and-amp-super-seal-connectors/ (I also found these in Finland, but so far, not in the USA.)

    Rubber protection

I got excited when I found a number on this boot: 0371.41.44, but it doesn't come up on any searches or in the Parts Catalog. The parts diagrams show all the boots as part of the wiring harness. I would sure like to find a suppler for these (my Sport needs a new TPS boot and a Neutral Switch boot).

    Rubber protection

I don't see it on this site, but this is the kind of supplier I was speaking of . . . https://www.autoelectricsupplies.co.uk/product/159/category/32

All of those rubber boots are made up into the wiring harnesses and not part numbered separately by Moto Guzzi. It would be great to find a rubber distributor catalog to pore through and find some replacements.
  20. @FreyZI's sunset Tenni deserves a place here:
  21. Fake ads? The Coppa I viewed earlier today is not even in my browser history . . .
  22. Yep: new thread . . .
  23. Odd, it took me to the Coppa earlier, a 1971 Vespa now . . .
  24. I see HarperMoto has the "V11 Service Stand" listed for $363.60US. Not that this means it is available. I'm calling there today to clear up several backorders for last year. I would suggest always calling Harper's before placing an online order. https://www.harpermoto.com/v11-service-stand-00979717.html
  25. I am not sure the current availability status of rooms at the lodge (there are other places to stay nearby). Worth checking with Bryan, the innkeeper. While garage space is more limited than the rooms, our nimble steeds can be cuddled, if necessary, to get everyone's V11 indoors as needed . . .
