My apologies if this crosses any boundaries, but @Lighting posted this spectacular V11 image in the "Gallery", yet not everyone sees things there or gets to comment on them. Such a moving and inspirational V11 image. Thanks, @Lighting !

Makes me want one! Errr . . . One of each . . . Perhaps the neck tattoo should give me pause…… 🦂 -
Vibration in grips at 3k-5k RPM...any way to correct?
docc replied to VtwinStorm's topic in Technical Topics
I remember reading that when Honda reset the firing on their Shadow (ACE?) to mimic the Harley experience, the engineers complained bitterly (in their circumspect, Japanese way) and horsepower was down. It was not a popular Shadow . . . -
Wow! Rear rack plus Tekno panniers. Gran Turismo!

Pretty sure @deadpen69 (in Detroit, MI, USA) was just asking about one of these a couple weeks ago . . . ( MO <--> MI, y'all are practically neighbors! )

Classy. Very nice looking and easy to listen to. Oh, yeah, the Guzzi, too . . . -
Love watching the start drill that starts at 10:55. Funny on the narration, in the past I just thought that narrator's syncopation was odd and hard to listen to. I recall a software developer telling me to always play computer generated voice in another accent as it is less distracting. That is the nicest Guzzi custom I've ever seen on a lot of levels. Capped off by the onboard ride at about 8:20!

There are those among us who would say bringing up the Peugeot diesel in a Guzzi small block thread is on topic . . .

Here, I thought drums were 55G? Got's a new ride , there, @dangerous? Pray tell . . . [ . . . make a profile album and drag yer pic into "Add Images" . . . ]

I only speak American English, but pretty sure "please let me know if I've got the wrong end of the stick" is inviting (especially @Kiwi_Roy) to suggest edits or ammendments to the diagram changes. I see both the "RH Assay" and "LH Assay" on the diagram referring to the handlebar switchgear. "Assay = "assy" = "assembly?" (My English translated Owners Manual wiring diagram refers to those as "RH device" and "LH control device.")

+1 on that!

Only trouble from that trip was three hours of salty roads to get home. And the special patina that gave many of the fasteners….

Here's to the frost on your pumpkin!

Right? So, a guy goes back to US Indiana in January and has something to say about the crappy California weather?
-
Yeah, I tried that with some wild chick I dated in college and it didn't work, either . . .

@stewgnu has drawn up another wiring diagram with emphasis on the relays and the relay addition to address "Startus Interuptus". He'll be along to clarify and comment on the purpose.

So, a 15M V11 would have to source a 15RC ECU, as well as installing the upgraded Lambda probe (where? In the crossover?), and then build or source the wiring to connect the sensor (Just one probe?) to the wiring harness to the mystery/unused two "bullet connectors" that we 15M-ers try to tuck away/ hide under the seat?

I'm not sure that is our mantra here, but I'm not sure that it isn't . . .

Seems these are the climates that give us some of the greatest bike (and car) restorations on the planet. Probably some of the best oatmeal stout and blackberry wine, as well . . . I don't mean to be speaking for our Norwegian brothers, here . . . @hammershaug should be along to cheer us up, before long, yah?

Ah, well, that was a minute ago . . . I remember my Sport never liked anything under 4000 rpm. And I wanted it to lope at idle like a 351 Cleveland with big cam. She hated this idea, too. 1200 is more to her liking. Over time (and wear, and numerous individual issues) the popping, hiccups, and "snort" have been a recurring theme. There have been, literally, a dozen contributors. High ambient temperatures are especially aggravating. FWIW, I remain the poster child for the factory 15M map. Yet, my tune-up interval is 5,000 miles/ 8,000 km. My plugs could really benefit from a 4,000 mile/ 6,400 km change with this level of internal wear. My Sport's "fussiness" gets notably better with every "tune-up." If I could change one thing, it would be the ridiculous ignition advance from 2700-4000 rpm at very low throttle openings (as in "just riding along"). And the terrible rattle that can occur rolling on the throttle in that upper range. (Well, that's two things, I suppose).... There is just nothing "smooth" about the abrupt corners in that ignition advance map.

Yeah, man, the drop difference is stunning, really. Yes, mine is a PC545 lying on the rubber mat (standard, not a steel case Odyssey). It is because the drop includes the thickness of the basket tabs + the welded-on subframe "nuts" + the thickness of the subframe plate. The drop is dramatic. Biggest concern was fouling the shock travel. No issues here after "all this time." (Yet, I do run an Öhlins shock and higher spring rate that brings the rear ride height up.)
