The Legnano green Sport looks so capable and composed. While the triple, and especially its exhaust, looks like a pleated skirt from a Leonard Cohen song that you could cut your lip on. I mean, I like it, but I've cut my lip on pleated skirts before, too . . . . As we northern hemispherists enter the Season of Mice and Ice, we look forward to what you chaps are up to . . .

Right? Seriously looking to our Southern Hemisphere brothers to get us through the Season of Mice and Ice. Time to revive this thread: This one from @mcgregor168 , May 2021: (NO STOPPING! --->)

I found this one, still attached to the lamp set from a 2002 LeMans parted out on ebay from Germany. It reminded me that the later (2003 on?) lamp array differs from the early Sports and 2002 LeMans (no battery light and left/right turn indicator lamps). https://www.ebay.com/itm/383822391865?hash=item595d98ea39:g:hIgAAOSw8GZfuXQu https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/hIgAAOSw8GZfuXQu/s-l1600.jpg Yeah, man, check your inbox and see if it's at 100%. Analog testing!

I tried to send you a PM, @Lucky Phil, but you "cannot receive messages." (I ordered one of those lamp panels for you from Harper's back in August. Not looking hopeful, but I'll be calling Harper's after the new year.)

Easy to agree that 20mm plus 5 = 30mm minus 5 . . .

Does the Breva 750 have the non-adjustable TPS with straight holes instead of slots? In that case, the throttle angle is preset and the idle stop screw should not be moved. Glædelig jul, Hans!

Scud was one of the pioneers on this forum with Speedhut gauges. Nice gauge faces, buddy! I was trying to figure out why the tach says "Girl x 1000" (but figured, what-the-hey, some guys try to collect those things. A thousand seems like a lot, but what do I know . . . ) See Scud's contributions on Kiwi_Roy's thread, Installing Speedhut Gauges. (I love mine!)

So, yep, across models, sidestands have some commonalities: Length, foot, attachment, springs (retraction), touch-down/clearance, cut-out switch(?), and even the deployment lever/ boot-burner . . .
-
Yep, those headguards are one of Joe Kenney's designs. I like this one the best. Fun to fill in the eagle engraving in red.

The Bellagio and V11 Sport/LeMans sidestands are very different animals. I'm sure some of this applies across models . . .
-
JMO, but I love the way @witttom's "champagne" LeMans stays largely true to Luciano Marabese's monochromatic design statement while the choice of black elements allows the main bodywork to resemble a (champagne) fireball with a flame trail . . . So elegant. As if it had something like this in mind --->

There is something really muscular and aggressive about the Bellagio. Evidently, the Italians didn't think we would buy it in The States. Or just that they really don't have a clue. Nice looking bike!

Pretty sure Tom was saying he missed the point, not you L-Phil. True that the original post was about increased foot area for stands “digging in.”Somewhere along the thread, increased ride height causing excessive lean came up. As well as stands coming loose. We’ve also packed in three different Guzzi models in two pages. We’re a busy bunch….

I hope someone here really does take in this champagne LeMans that once belonged to our long-time member @twhitaker (RIP, Terry) . . .
-
I don't think so. But there are others here who have more personal experience.
-
@witttom's LeMans is listed for sale as "gold", which is a good distinction from our other V11's greys and silvers . . .
-
I am thinking the champagne is unique to that 2002 year/model V11 and the Tenni's tank is more of a satin silver-grey (?) 2002 LeMans & Tenni frame side plate finish: same, yes? (The 2002 Scura frame side plates look painted red like the RedFrame Sport?)
-
What with the Bellagio not sold in the USA, I had to take a look at the configuration of @Chris Wilson's side stand. I was pretty sure it is not like the V11's Rube Goldberg device. Also, pretty sure the V11 sidestand is much more likely to touch down in a deep left-hander. (Mine has never touched again after the Öhlins shock, and spring changes.)

This is doubly-extra true of the V11 Sport/LeMans! The little Achilles fastener into the sump spacer (circled in red) as well as the large fastener screwed into the timing chest (that should be torqued to [something like] 70 Nm)!
