  1. I'm not using Pirelli anymore, but used up a great big bunch of them as they changed their product from the Diablo (on my Sport as delivered), through Angels, ST, then GT. It seems this "A spec" is being built more like the former "ST". I can say that I got better service (longer life) from those than I did when they changed to the GT. (FWIW, YMMV and all of that).
  2. LiquiMoly is the choice of my trusted ///M roadster technicians.
  3. +1 with Lucky Phil. Also, (I realize I posted this already) not to use the throttle rod "tunnel" for anything but the throttle rod.
  4. Oh, yeah, there is the thing about isolating the regulator from external charging (pull the 30 amp fuse while charging). Some say, "Yeah, whatever", but my regulator supplier says to isolate the regulator from external charging.
  5. Cool! 7.5 amps should be adequate. 13.28v at idle looks fine, but should increase to 14.2v at even 2002-2500 rpm and stay stable as the rpm increases. "Discharge before charging" for best results . . . monitor voltage while charging with any external charger: it should never exceed 15.0v or "float" below the 13.5-13.8v range. -> NEVER below 13.2v!
  6. I am currently "conditioning" my eleven year old Odyssey PC545 that lives a dogged and neglected life in my CubCadet tractor, swampee, that largely just serves as a test bed for what happens to old PC545s. Expecting our G-string rated V11 charging system to bring back a needy Odyssey is probably asking too much of the system. Even my dedicated EnerSys Ultimizer charger wouldn't pull the old PC545 out this time - had to discharge the battery, then manually apply 10 amps until the voltage reached 15v; then attach the Ultimizer for the 13.56v "bulk charge" for 24 hours. Then repeat until the PC545 holds above 12.65 volts for days to weeks. @4corsa, check your charging voltage with your V11 running. Also, don't expect anything less than a 6 amp charger to actually charge a PC545 (assuming that is the battery you are using).
  7. FWIW, I would expect my Odyssey to read 12.63v (~85%) after it sat for a week. After a sustained ride, like 90 miles, charging at 14.2 volts, I would expect it to be over 13 volts slowly falling off to a hopeful 100% (12.84v) after a few hours sitting.
  8. I love this guy's wit and humor. What a love of life and uplifting spirit. This may be the only virtuoso performance I have seen not interjected with his splendid comedy. Just magnificent.
  9. Roosevelt Lake Bridge and the Deck Park (Papago Freeway) Tunnel?
  10. Tom Petty, Big Weekend . . . > V11 Guzzi content: "If you don't run, you rust" . . .
  11. FWIW, I've never used CJ-4/CI-4 or whatever diesel rated oils in mySport. I've used them in other machines, though. I settled on the full PAO/ester RedLine 20W-50 long ago. "Full-synthetic with PAO and Ester base stocks and 2200 ppm of ZDDP "
  12. This is why motor oils rated for diesel engines can be favorable to flat tappet motors.
  13. Look further on that metal tag for the actual month-year build date. All V11 are vastly interesting and curiously rare. “Collect them all!”
  14. FWIW, early V11 viscosity specification is 20W-50. Later the spec changed even though the motor did not change appreciably.
  15. The year model is coded on the VIN before the actual serial number. YM=2000, 1M= 2001, 2M=2002 etc. The actual month/year the particular unit was built is scribed into the metal plate on the left of the headstock. You likely will have to push some wiring out of your way to see it.
  16. Settle your front forks:
  17. Good news on your fix! Time to try and figure out what it started out as. (Pretty much impossible to figure out what previous owners have changed, or why.) So, again, @Revilo, does your 2003 Sport have White face Veglia gauges and a "chin pad" tank? The "KR" versus "KS" is not in the engine number, but in the VIN in the 7th and 8th positions (before the numbers begin). What is the actual build date scribed into the aluminium manufacturer's plate on the left side of the headstock? ??? ???
  18. I was thinking after clicking it thirty or forty times, it might come through. Held my tongue right and everything.
  19. I kept pressing the "More" button on the bottom left, but no joy . . .
  20. You have checked with Stein-Dinse, Teo Lamers, HMB Guzzi?
  21. @Rolf Halvorsen, look at this from an ebay seller in Germany . . . https://www.ebay.com/itm/274959393118?hash=item4004db615e:g:7L4AAOSwn3RhTHHQ
  22. Ah, yes, this. Does your 2003 Sport have a chin pad tank and white face Veglia gauges, @Revilo ?
  23. The earlier V11 front wheel has two sizes of inner bearing races. Maybe that was the source of the mix up. Certainly, this spacer does not appear to seat on the inner race, but looks to be inside of it:
  24. What with our respected V11LeMans.com domiciled in The Netherlands, with Belgium in the wings, surely if anyone has any knowledge of the V11 Playboy Exclusive Edition, this particular "model" might be within our grasp? So far, there is not even more than that singular image, let alone any reports of the V11 EE, itself ? ? ?
  25. Well, we at least know of people with Scura R, The V11 Playboy EE ? *** crickets ***
