Quite likely the very best sorted V11(/10) known to exist. So very welldone!

Another member sent me to Gutsibits and I have one on the way from the UK. Seems it they're last one or I would have gotten a spare. Perhaps, we can yet find a generic replacement that is commonly available . . .

I went looking for the post where you suggested getting two because of their fup duckability. So, ordered two back in December, but just learned they remain back ordered from Piaggio. I seem to recall my other common sources showed them out of stock. Seems like such a simple part that I thought we should come up with a replacement source outside of the Piaggo network (especially for simple things that they are not stocking) for Scud's Encyclopedia of Compatible Parts. Thanks for the offer to send me your spare! I can trade you an OMRON High Zoot relay or some other contraband . . .

I've had a shifter shaft seal (to fit to the shift mechanism assembly sideplate) on order a couple months - still on back order from Piaggio. Do we have a suitable alternative (or source) for this simple seal? (#30: GU 90401526)

So, the turn signals are on a different circuit. As 80CX100 says, there are suppliers that still stock them. Look at the linked post in that thread for “online components.” Swapping #2 with a minimally stressed relay like #3 might help confirm the issue, but a full set of OMRON High Current relays (G8HE) is a good move, regardless.

Also worth noting that we can pull a 27mm axle nut and use that the work the filter cover.

Sheesh, bud. Hate it when "Headlight/horn/brake light" makes a guy pull his tank and go down that rabbit hole . . . All those are on a common circuit through Relay#2 . . . Here's docc beatin' that OMRON High Current Relay drum again . . . Not the first time nipples get involved and complicate things. . .

I spy an Öhlins reservoir? Not a Sachs rear shock, then?

WHAAAAT!?!? No beers?
-
I also spy Bill Hagan's clever gear rack: a six (or eight?) foot ladder to hang jackets and pants from, totes and helmets on top, boots and totes at the base. Brilliant!

I see a few nice V11 in our Personal Classifieds. Two are "single plate clutch" bikes, but there are a couple other RedFrame Sports: A big welcome, bsanorton! Best to you on finding one of these marvelous V11!

For lighting, I followed the lead of one the auto professionals that I know and added "wall" lighting (in addition to overhead lights) to cut the shadows where we tend to poke our heads into. I was fortunate to repurpose some retired X-ray viewboxes to surround the lift . . .

I never thought of mounting one to the shop wall. You know, like above the fire extinguisher. I keep one under the Sport's seat along with a Fresnel lens. For those impromptu, roadside TechSessions . . .

My Sport seems mostly given to The Blues. . . . like it got its instruments tuned at some crossroads in Mississippi . . .

I swear I can see a 12"x18" V11 wiring diagram above the tool box in the Stornello view . . .

Easy! Pop by the South'n Spine Raid this September on the US border of Tennessee and North Carolina. We'll take it on! So... not likely. Begin with a "Decent Tune-up" . . . We can go from there... Welcome, @innesa to the best place in the world to sort a Moto Guzzi V11!

@Bill Hagan has built a couple admirable garages, The Garage Mahal at his last place and his current Moto Grappa . . . @Kane, I wonder about a simple "acid wash" for your interior wood (looks like the roof decking is already new. Just a spray down with white vinegar solution, maybe a little brushing, let it stand then rinse may be all it takes to neutralize growth and brighten the old wood a bit. Just must have a way to move dry air over it all until entirely dry again.

Seems some garage doors are more "insulated" than others! No one mentioned a sound system, yet. My shop would not be complete without tunes . . .

One of the adverse effects I discovered running Sat-Nav is the Tractor Beam Effect. Oh, you think the "tractor beam" is the thing of Star Speck science fictionalism? Turns out, if you are the guy with the nav, and know the way, various elements may become magnetically attracted to your trajectory, as if by "tractor beam." Even if those "elements" follow too closely and are discovered to have failed brakes . . . A FireTruck in a parade, followed closely by two competing marching bands. After seeing those following distances, and learning that one of the bikes was running on a brake failure, I changed my Sat-Nav protocols . . .

@hammershaug got such a nice result with his «Temple of the Guzzi». An inspiration!

Oh, what fun! A place to pin all manner of memorabilia to the walls (old brake discs, spare sump gaskets, stolen road signs. . .) +1 on the lighting. Also, worth having a nice, smooth floor for the motorcycle lift.

There is so much very, very Guzzi about that set-up!

p6x tells me the book is in both Italian and English in the same printing. I see in the description, now: "italiane e inglese (Multilingue)". Apparently, it not a typical sequence of models, but more focused on the history and people of Moto Guzzi. I am ordering my copy for "the library." FWIW, I really have been enjoying Falloon's new book, in spite of some of the disappointments. I'm pretty bad about spending most of my time just looking at the pictures. Something I picked up from certain periodicals that others claimed they got "for the articles" . . .

So, how big of a thing is this, actually, with our V11 heads in particular?
