"BILT" is the Cycle Gear brand. Their upper end brand is "Sedici". Which is fun to say and maybe a bit "sportier." I know an experienced rider who has relied on their gear for many years, so yes: a good place to start. Especially if a store is accessible for you to lay hands on directly and verify fit. Summers in the southern US see me using my armored, one-piece ventilated Olympia riding suit. Olympia has an affordable range of gear worth looking at, IMO. I tried to get away from AeroStich, but the utility and ruggedness brings me back. In spite of the cost, weight, and some design flaws, the ugly grey one-piece Roadcrafter is a trusted piece of kit for me. I have had good success shopping online with RevZilla for various gear across the brands. They usually have a video review of each product to help with selection.

Pretty sure our treasured Aussie friend, @pete roper , has this expertise. I'm not certain, but I think Bungendore is in the future. As in, it's tomorrow there when it's today here. In the meantime, we can kick this around on this side of the Date Line . . . Welcome to the best place in the world for the care & feeding of your 2001 V11 Sport, Brivmora!

Love the cover image: V7Sport<-->V85TT Nice gift! Merry Christmas!

That doesn't look like Texas, Toto . . .

Merry Christmas (Eve)! Temperatures are dropping in a cold wind from The North Pole. All is well, though, as I have my Christmas lights on to cheer me (and me Sport) . . .

Very nice, p6x! That didn't take long for you to commit!

I recall that fellow did sell something from his SPOrT-1100/ 1100 Sport-i collection, but not those. FWIW, p6x, those 1100 sport Guzzi predate the "V11" versions of 1999-2005. Biggest difference might be the change from the older 5 speed gearbox to the V11's 6speeder. (There are many other differences, of course).

Making a “Beeline” work – the alternative Sat-Nav

Looks like it would be hard to make a wrong turn there . . . -
Thanks for the heads-up, 4corsa! I cleaned up the Diagnostic Cables post:

The link in Step 3: "3) CO Fuel Trim: Using guzzidiag software interface" takes me to the thread "Basic guzzidiag tutorial for V11" where the first link is: https://www.von-der-salierburg.de/download/GuzziDiag/ That link takes me to the full GuzziDiag page with all of Beard's software links. See if that sequence works for you. Thanks!

Thanks, @Pressureangle for making these Proper P.Roper Plates available! New member @wdietz186 is looking for one to make sure the V11 he is putting back together does not "come from together" in the future . . .
-
Y'all come now, ya hear? Looks like about three weeks since @Pressureangle has checked in. Back in August he said he had about 20 plates left.

Looks like the perfect place for a SpineRaid! I'm thinking @v11_meticcio should round up about a dozen of our brothers and post pics of Ago hanging around all those gorgeous V11 . . .
-
Well, the South'n SpineRaid is not really much of a "Guzzi Rally", but could be worthwhile if you don't mind seeing Goozie-guts scattered about the place . . . "Get There. Bring Tools."

Plenty of lead time for a proper shakedown ride!

Seems his daughter Vittorio has the B&B while Ago has opened his Trophy Room and is still passionate about his tifoso ("fans"). What a fine gentleman. Such a credit to the sport.

I don't know anywhere here in The States that annual inspection would find something like that. Removing it for MOT seems a good approach. I always perform my own Annual Roadworthiness Test, also known as The South'n Spine Raid. It does not seem that the linear play would impair the function of the damper. Is there radial play (side to side)?

Welcome, wdietz186! Looking forward to your progressing through your V11! She looks well worth the trouble. Back when the loose oil filter issue showed up, there were some derived solutions. One was the hose clamp fotoguzzi posted. Another was to steer clear of that era UFI filters then being factory fitted. Another was to tighten the oil filter one and one-eighth turns past the first contact of the oiled gasket. This is significantly tighter than I would have normally tightened a canister filter, but has served me well over these several miles. Also note the possibility of the old filter gasket staying on the motor and pressure failure when the new filter loosens on the paired gaskets. Best with the V11! Thanks for keeping us in the loop!

Does it actually show any play swinging the forks side to side?

While you are there, stop by Bergamo and tell Giacomo Agostini "ciao" from all of us! https://www.villavittoriabergamo.it/en/who-we-are/ https://www.motociclismo.it/giacomo-agostini-apre-museo-bergamo-73931
