Gratuitous Pics of Girls + Guzzi
docc replied to sign216's topic in Special place for banter and conversation
I always thought this as "just another photo shoot" of the V11, but seems it is rather a celebrity shoot at the 2003 European Motor Show Brussels ("Brussels Salon") of the "V11 Playboy EE" (Exclusive Edition) . . . Is this the only known image of that v11? -
Updated, restored and added images. Original post edited to reflect more current discoveries and understanding. I hope @jrt approves!

The 2001 Rosso Mandello does have the concerning aluminum flywheel (and single plate clutch) common to the 2002 Scura and Tenni. The seat just doesn't look latched at the front. While the instrument needles quite orange and unfaded, low miles on a V11 always casts aspersions on the fragile speedometer/odometer cable drives.

Early forum member jrt, in his 2005 thread, Breakdown of Model Year Changes in "Frequently Asked Questions" attributes this statement to the late Todd Haven of MPH Cycles: KRAKR designates 1100 spine frame 2000-2002(sport and Lemans) Realize, of course, that the 1999-2001 Sport RedFrame and Rosso Mandello BlackFrame are ShortFrames and differ from the 2nd generation V11 LongFrame introduced with the 2002 LeMans (both the red/grey and champagne) as well as the 2002 Scura and Tenni. What color is your 2002 LeMans @Bob LeClair ?

I'm used to all the tipping motion, but that looks like quite a lot of up-and-down play as well?

I say we are "The Gladiators!"

If Guzzi is the Side Show, what does that make us?

Oh, that is delightful!! Love the "period" valve covers . . . I would think the V11 6speeder gearbox and bevel drive ratios will be very lively and well matched to that application. As well as the V11 camshaft!

ANSWERED Horribe clutch screech as soon as I touch the clutch lever.
docc replied to rich888's topic in Technical Topics
That is, of course, very sensible. The slave is certainly easier to remove than getting to the clutch assembly, but still best achieved with the swingarm off (not a horrible job with a lift and a platform jack) and some fresh, sharp hex drives for the three fasteners that tend to be stubborn. -
The Parts Catalog indicates the left side line is the return. Some Elvan siren in my brain always brings me back to the idea of mounting a Guzzi big-block on a "Moggie" trike. I do hope you will let us in on how your Triking comes along!

Clutch release/ "throw out" bearing seems very plausible . There is certainly no very much to it. Good news is that it is accessible beneath the slave cylinder rather than having to pull the entire gearbox . . . -
"Stand up bass!" Here's a guy that connects the dots between basso profundo with lots (and lots) of spruce . . .

Happy Griso!

I checked with a Moderator who replied if images of a custom faired Griso are: A. Allowed B. Recommended C. Welcome D. Desirable E. All of the above . . . ✔️ E.

No Marabese dream-bikes, I suppose . . .
-
The Centauro only made sense to me after Luciano Marabese said he "drew it after the Dondolino" . . .
-
Realize the later models are largely Rodolfo Francoli designs within the firm , Marabese Design. Both the Centauro and the V11 Sport look to be exclusive to Luciano, himself. Not to diminish the interesting question! Or the discussion to follow . . .
