  1. @Drahchir, if the leak is on the left a common source is the crank position sensor. This is the sensor in front of the cylinder with the two hex drive fasteners. Sometimes, just snugging up the fasteners is enough to address the leak. Otherwise, it uses a small Viton O-ring (#112 SAE or metric equivalent). Be mindful of the thin spacer as it indexes the cam timing. These sensors might also leak through the wiring leading me to coat mine in JB Weld epoxy many years ago.

  5. It occurred to me to point out there are two angle drive, the other being attached to the speedometer end. It is usually not the trouble that the gearbox one is, but is worth inspecting.

  12. So, an early 1999-2000 production judging by the finned, steel exhaust header flanges. This run also suffered from the red stillettos fading to pink. Some P.O. likely stripped them to the bare alumin(i)m . . .

  18. I don't see the switch at MGCycle (GU01738800) Seems that switch was also used on various Ducati (Monster?) and others back in the day?

  24. Thanks for confirming that "air gap" is the "proper way." We must just be certain to "prime" the cartridges full of oil before using the air gap method.
