High compliments, y'all . . . I have more (non-automotive/non-axe-murderer) tools to share. But they're kinda skeery-as-hell, too . . . (no sheep have been involved. I promise!)

I dunno, bud. Scud pretty much nailed this with side-by-side measurements. The triples really don't look much different. . . . (Definitely visible between Grim's and my Sports.)

Really interesting Sport, Grim! The early, "chin-pad", tank on the braced LongFrame so shows the frame lengthened just behind the headstock . . . Relative to the early RedFrame:

Turns out my Speedhut "location memory" has been disconnected since I installed the last LED headlamp. Back on now, but just 25 microamps. So, 14 days to drop to the 12.65v threshold. A few minutes with the (LED) lights on stabilized at 12.04v. Offering this as a reference of a known good PC545 (6 years old). Also, interesting that six hours after running it down to 12.04v, it is back up to 12.68v. No charge, yet, then. I'll watch it another 36 hours, but intend to ride it then to roll 115,000 miles and commence my next service (tune-up, fluids, filters, fork oil).

Oh! "Porkchops" . . . I meant porkchops . . .

Shoot, bud, we could'a tossed some stilettos on the grill . . .

Interesting comment on the differences in fuels. I have long suspected this. And is there also ethanol in your field?

IIRC, from outboard->inward through the small hole: lever->ball bearing->"rod pin"-> switch It is common to get trash in there and jam the contents against the switch which leave cause it to stay on. Perhaps, just a good cleaning with something like electronics cleaner? (Just don't let that little bearing get away!)

@Bob Maynard, the date of manufacture is inscribed on the headstock plate on the left side of the bike. You might have to push some wiring out of the way to see it. @Kane, I definitely had an affected gearbox. At just over 25,000 miles it began finding false neutrals at bad times (like a 1->2 or 2-> 1 shift in switchbacks). No one really knew anything much about the 6speeder in those days and there were plenty of opinions that I should just go back to Hondas and turn in my ManCard. But the inquiries led me to this amazing community, Moto Guzzi replaced my entire gearbox (through the efforts of my dealer), and the recall appeared shortly thereafter. +1 on po18guy's recommended getting the idle speed up. Time for a "Decent Tune-up!"

Thank you, LuckyPhil, for the excellent insight and sharing! I wish I had this all done to my Manual Fuel Tap already as I am upon a Tank-off Maintenance interval and dread twisting on that thing like a knuckle-dragger. At least I know to isolate the tank with a spanner. I hope that works until I can preform this excellent modification. Lucky Phil rocks!

WOW-WOW-WOW!

I just had to say this one more time . . . .

Never heard of this before. That would be awesome to verify. But how?

Sweeeeet!! Are those polished original LaFranchoni canisters?

Just be aware of my modified wiring . . .

Hey, good find! I see you added it to The Encyclopedia of Compatible Parts. The clear/slotted lid is novel, yet would be much more effective if ATC fuses were still translucent and not opaque. WTH is up with that change? Of course, you could still make a label for the lid showing fuse functions. I added a more complete "side stand oriented" function sheet to the inside of the tailpiece for roadside troubleshooting . . .

Fun to find brothers I was separated from at birth . . .

Nice to know about the Husky! I do enjoy my small collection of axes. They’re like hammers with an attitude.

I had forgotten so much of what it took to install those Speedhut three years ago. I see that the GPS “location memory” was powered by an auxiliary lighting circuit I recently defeated. I’ll be looking into that and switch it back on. Thanks for the prompt to look it all back over!

I reckon you have the switchgear that you can turn the lights out. They won't let us have that kind of control here in The States. Lights are always on. Except when the starter is cranking which requires an elaborate Rube Goldberg electrical fiasco to accomplish.

Here is one of my more lucid posts with images and notes on my Speedhut wiring from the early Veglia V11 harness.

Notably, the Rosso Corsa in footgoose's post () has had the troubling, failed tank decals removed and repainted in a solid red. Looks great! Also, worth repeating that a significant number of "early" 2003 models are 2002 "carry-overs" with the difficult, bubbling driveline paint. And it is not just the engine, but the entire driveline. @Calijackalbob , I am curious about the three V11 images in your original post. The first two are rather significantly modified or changed, and the third is a stock factory image of the 1999-2001 V11 Sport in silver (not Grrrrr-eeen ). Have you seen the Greenie in person? It is quite something to behold with one's own eyes. Yet, aren't they all?

I don't know whether to post my (worn out) Greenie Strut (by Roger Miller) or my Aermacchi inspired alternator cover (that everyone has been so kind and restrained to simply not comment on. ) All-y'all still just amaze me.
