  1. And the Sport-i driveline is only ~5mm offset like the V11?
  2. Truly! That would be what has become @KINDOY2's Greenie, yes?
  3. Nice! Welldone, footgoose! I realize Kane's thread has drifted from "Will an Centauro connecting plate fit a V11?" (nope) to "What are the driveline offsets of various SpineFrames and how is this accomplished?" I found another indication that the V11 driveline (at least my RedFrame) is offset right only ~5mm: The front engine mounts from the front subframe are asymmetric by about that amount (views from the front): Right: Left:
  4. From all I can see, the bracket welded to the underside of the RedFrame is centered to the spine. The welded bracket is shown in the early workshop manual, but not on the dimensioned drawing! @Pressureangle , is this frame-to-engine/gearbox plate present on the 1100 Sport-i ? Here is a reference image of the connecting plate added to my Sport. So hard to even capture an image, let alone sneak in a roll of toweling . . . (View looking up and forward from behind the right throttle body, both injectors and linkage rod visible):
  5. Fixed it for ya, buddy. Oddly, it posted flush right causing the text to look like it disappeared . At first, I thought the post was blank . . .
  6. The bubble-off black wrinkle paint was 2002 and some "carry-overs" into 2003. Just looking at your brother's, I would say he is good. '04 Café Sports were among the best sorted of all V11. No elaborate paint scheme to separate from the tank, but Öhlins, braced LongFrame, and broad bars(for those who love that sort of thing). Nice piece of kit! And striking distance to the S'xteenth South'n SpineRaid!
  7. Hey, LuckyPhil, could you elaborate on that? I suppose, "at some point" I should pay some attention to my (amazing) motor and maybe even have a look-see inside the timing chest.

I had high hopes going from 2-piece AeroStich to one-piece, but there are design flaws that funnel water, IMO. The big flaps on the thigh pockets (which they would not eliminate on my order) create a gutter in the seated position and funnel water to the crotch Taking time to fold the gutter over before the rain starts helps.
  9. Underside the tank, the right nipple is the overflow and the left is the vent as I recall. They can simply be "T'd" together with a connecting fitting if you wish. Correct, the regulator gets return fuel from the right injector which gets its flow from the left injector.
  10. Cool! So, using a translucent draftsman's right triangle to strike a centerline, the V11 looks offset ~5mm and the Centauro like 13mm (the "half inch to the right" I recall hearing so much). So, the V11 driveline is some 38% as far offset, but not perfectly centered, either. What mystifies me is that part, top, that is fitted to my 6speeder V11 (by me) is from the earlier Sport1100 5speeder. I had thought it was the introduction of the 6speeder that allowed for the reduced offset, but perhaps not? How are the Sport1100 and 1100Sport-i drivelines offset ? (This all assumes the bracket welded to the underside of the frame rail is centered under the frame.)
  11. Gotta love a simple, analog solution! Hey, Francesco, how about a couple more pictures of your tasteful, early Sport?
  12. Only the aluminum timing gears are a bad idea, yes?

  14. Okay, okay, motorcycle content. Courtesy of Blueboarhound . . .
  15. Oh, so, no more hammers in view. Now we are flaunting a half roll of paper towels as a tease . . . signs of the times. Seriously, I am not sure how to interpret those measurements . . . They are not the same, but????
  16. Scud came up with 4,5mm right offset of the V11 driveline with his frame measurements. "If" the earlier SpineFrames had their drivelines offset 12-13mm (1/2"), I wonder why the earlier sport 1100-i (with 5 speeder) frame bracket bolted up to my 2000 V11 Sport?
  17. You know, looking at those images, the Centauro brace does "look" more asymmetrical, but the V11 (Sport 1100/1100 Sport-i) brace certainly is not symmetrical. The view in the images is also reversed (front-to-rear/ rear-to-front) making it even harder to assess along with inch vs metric, and overall width vs hole center-to-center. Looks to me that the Sport bracket is offset to the right (looking from the rear) ~5mm. How about an image of that Centauro bracket (asymmetric to the right) with a metric rule indexed from the center of the left, lower mounting hole?
  18. Wow, first two SpineRaiders from extreme opposite coasts of the country! Bravo, guys!!!
  19. The dimension center-to-center across the lower mount holes looks to check out: 13.5 cm = about 5.3”.....
  20. Image with metric rule on page 3. Maybe someone can get the height spread measured as well. Perhaps @LowRyter has the complete dimensions?
  21. I might be interested in one of you'd like to reduce your stock to an even two dozen. Click on the availability link above to view the ordering process. Very straightforward and reliable! 👍🏻
  22. This good fellow looks to have some experience . . .
  23. Pretty sure those are on KINDOY2's Rosso Mandello in California ?
  24. Welcome, John! Your SpineFrame will be right at home with us! If you have not yet discovered The Legendary LuckyPhil's Hi-cam V11 thread, here is a link to a year of excellent journaling and sharing:
  25. Most YooToob you can simply copy the URL in the address bar at the top of the page and paste it directly into the reply window (not using the link function/"hamburger") and the opening frame of the video displays in your post. Pics can usually be "hotlinked" by opening the image where it is displayed, right clicking on the image for a menu and select "Copy Image Location" --> paste into the reply window. This leaves the image hosted where you found it and does not have to be resized or hosted here. These links sometimes go dead later on. Sometimes I can restore them, but not always. I post so many images here that I use a hosting site. There are numerous of those, yet what with PhotoBlockit's antics and the fact many of those hosted albums are tracked and can be searched publicly, I only trust ImgZeit. It is secure, simple, and affordable. Plus, I can remember teaching the developer how to ride a bicycle.
