  1. Yessir. That is what I gathered from it being more than just linear. Like when I just put bigger jets in my Holley spreadbore . . .
  2. I always thought that, too. And even tried to "add fuel" that way on the idea that the motor must be "lean." Just turns out more complex than that because of the "mapping." @Meinolf understands this better than anyone I know.
  3. Short answer is: no, you cannot add or subtract fuel simply by rotating the TPS. While this was once thought, it turns out the TPS baseline is entirely about indexing the ECU "map" to the throttle body openings. Best to index it accurately. Take a look at the "Decent Tune-up" procedure. It is a great starting point.
  4. So . . . good question and worth working through. Moved this topic to Technical Topics . . . Stand by. Pretty sure good answers will flow from your good question.
  5. The Daytonas look like excellent products, if spendy. No personal knowledge of them, though. I'm on my second pair of Alpinestar boots having been impressed with the first pair. A little lighter duty than swooshdave's . . . https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/alpinestars-web-gore-tex-boots
  6. Well, my flat-outlet OEM (replacement that was sent to me from TXRedneck/RIP) still needs pliers to get entirely closed . . . .
  7. Sooooo, sooo fiiine!!!
  8. The "electric cock" (really, that is the English translation) was fitted to the 1999-2001 early V11, perhaps into 2002 (?) One of those things that gave problems and got changed back to the previously used manual cock (er, that's the one I've always thought most reliable anyway . . . ) somewhere 2002 -2003 (who knows?).
  9. So, the exhausted, abused ten year old PC545 took five days to discharge to the 85% discharge threshold. I'm calling that (another) save! Just turned the lights on a few minutes and the static voltage increased a bit (good sign) from the known effect of the battery warming chemically. Back on the EnerSys Ultimizer and it moved immediately to a float charge above the 13.20 volt minimum (remember, Odyssey says the PC545 will be damaged at float/"trickle" voltages below 13.20, ideal range is 13.5-13.8) Time to check the five year old PC545 that is actually in the Sport . . . Best results for your batteries, folks!
  10. I mean, no one would be shocked if Moto Guzzi duplicated a number here or there. Not that we have ever caught them at it. Well, aside from cranking out 300 more Rosso Mandello after the numbered series . . . Thanks, PJPR01, for the clarification! Ride well!
  11. I'm confused on these edition numbers. Transposed? . . .
  12. It is curious how that one-of-a-kind Aero-Lario reminds me of a certain one-of-a-kind V10 RedFrame we know of . . . Can't wait to see more pictures of our V11 out and about . . .
  13. Alright, alright, the "moderator" ( ) contacted me and said this was a thread about pics of V11, "no words" . . . my bad, I'll try to behave . . .
  14. Okay, we're still friends . . .
  15. Yer wading into "bland and pasty" talk, there buddy . . . Let me try and pull this out before my flywheel cracks . . . The Sport's shadow, alone, in this image, is worth a toast. Here is to all-y'all!
  16. In that lake shot, I love the way the silver of the water surface dances over the Sport. Somewhere along the line, I learned from pro photographers that silver is often chosen for automotive photo shoots as it throws fabulous contrasts and sets the lines of the design off while being "neutral" to color preference. Also can be considered bland and pasty, but them are fightin' words!
  17. Anytime I ponder how big and heavy the Sport might be , I try to get a little perspective . . .
  18. That is such superb explanation. What has always led me askew is the use of the term "engaged" (versus "disengaged"). Must agree with footgoose on this: "engaging" the control lever disengages the clutch (and twin plates with intermediate plate rattles and will beat hell out of the gearbox input hub). Lever out in neutral (or underway) and the clutch plates are all "engaged" with no rattle, no hub damage. Can we agree that the clutch, itself, is "engaged" when the lever is out and all of the clutch components are gathered together by the spring pressure? As highlighted above, I would suggest, "Pulling in the clutch lever disengages the clutch, itself." And this, Chuck, "Bump it into neutral and release the lever as much as possible. That will reduce wear of the flywheel, clutch splines, and transmission input splines." is true wisdom. For some of us, hard won . . .
  19. WOW, man! Sweeeet! More images??
  20. Thanks for posting the link, Scura283! Unfortunately, I cannot login there. (Da'gum outstanding wants&warrants . . . Open one of your images there, right click for the image menu, and select "Copy Image Location", paste here and let's see if it will display . . .
  21. Wow, what a listing! Hey, bud, link that Wildguzzi thread and let me see if I can "Copy Image Location" there are paste here. (Or you can try that yourself . . .) Good luck with the sale. Sure hope the new owner is a member here already, or a new member to be! [edit: I slipped into Wildguzzi through the back door and looked at their "Classifieds", but don't see your Scura? . . .]
  22. I was thinking the "screen/filters things" are acetylene lamps. I was trying to figure out how to make acetylene "wink." (@footgoose, the full image set in the posted drop box shows the donor at the end . . .)
  23. I love this "steampunk" or dieselpunk stuff (I don't know the difference, but I know what I like!
  24. Interesting bike! Here's what it looks like clicking "Copy Image Location" and pasting into the reply:
  25. Hi, Doug! Big welcome! To find the guzzidiag software, click the link MartyNZ posted above to the "Decent Tune-up" and scroll down to Step 3, click the guzzidiag link, and then the guzzidiag link in that next thread that comes up, "Basic guzzidiag Tutorial." Download the version for your computer operating system directly from "Beard", the developer. Posting images is another matter. There is a size limit to upload directly, so you can resize in various imaging software and post into the reply. If your image is hosted already, open your image there, right click on it and select "Copy Image Location" then paste that into your post. Looking forward to seeing the mystery art-bike!
