2002 - 2005 are 5.5 (1999-2001 are 4.5 inch and all silver or black.)

Twin AH, a set of which, if I may ask?
-
Yep, the late model V11 parts fiche shows two (2) of those O-rings (as pictured). I did not notice the x2 quantity before. The early line, and its sump adapter, are different, apparently.

Late model V11 return line pictured here. Still not sure how my early Sport is configured. No doubt making this tighter won't help it leak less: Thanks to footgoose for the photo of the return line from a 2003 Rosso Corsa!

Now three!

Harper's Moto Guzzi has had this Rosso Mandello for a little while: http://www.harpermoto.com/2002-rosso-mandello-244.html

Al! Fueling my Guzzichondriosis since June 2002! ( So glad to see you back around, buddy! )

Seems Ghezzi-Brian has them (Kineo) , but I don't see any pricing. http://www.ghezzi-brian.com/en/cerchi-per-moto/kineo-spoke-wheels/

brlawson (RIP) had built these wheels a few years back. I am not sure what happened to them after he passed. Member doslemans has stayed in contact with Bruce's son in Alabama, USA. https://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?app=gallery&image=1709

The leak is minor, more of an annoyance. More annoying after I have addressed all of the other (many) leaks of all sorts. Now that I know it is the crankcase vent, it makes more sense that it has been so inconsistent. Some times a little puddle after sitting on the lift, sometimes not. Sometimes more or less... I am toying with the idea of making a little mess removing the line and maybe capping the "reduction" sump adapter to get a look at the connection. Seems if I am going to buy parts, I would get the later "upgraded" line and adapter with the O-ring. After all, I am slowly turning my early Sport into a 2003 Argento Corsa.

Have you checked the contacts in the posted links to see if they are still available?

Or wire spokes (?), like these: https://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=7014&p=74861 https://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=16540&p=177693

So, the part numbers for the "pipe"(line) and the "reduction"(sump adapter) differ: 1999-2001 2002-2005 Pipe: 01 15 46 30 01 15 46 31 Reduction: 01 16 13 30 01 16 13 31 I am supposing this means I can't just put an O-ring in there from the later model V11?
-
oops, sorry. I thought I had put them in the post, but not. I'll check them later. It would be quite something to address this with an O-ring!
-
Interesting. Thanks for that part #. All of the other part numbers are the same?
-
I just got news that Harper's found a new one for Twin AH. So, looks like he is all set. He asked that I take this thread down . . . "Good luck, Jim!"
-
I cannot find an actual "O-ring" in the parts detail, "Oil Pump", Page 42. The #24 "pipe" assembles to the #21"reducer" (adapter) that is screwed into the sump over #20 "gasket" which, upon inspection looks to be a polymer lined "sealing washer" (GU01154230). The same sealing washers used on the banjo fitting at the top of the line and the oil lines to the Oil Cooler, Page 43. Is there another "O-ring" within the line fitting itself?" (That's where mine is weeping.) (Second "powder test" after re-over-tightening-again):
-
Would a crack be visible on inspection? Some special technique to reveal it?
-
The parts fiche shows a sealing washer under the "reduction" adapter to the sump. I was hoping the leak was there, but looks to be the pipe fitting itself. I have "reseated" it and will hope for the best. Otherwise, time for another $100 gift for the Old Girl. (the ever quixotic docc . . . )

Oh, yeah, I’m sure I tightened it more than that. Is there a valve in there or will the sump drain if I take the line loose?
-
So, the fitting is not NPT, for certain. I was hoping to wait for the next oil change to remove the line. As always, thanks to you folks for the insight and education!
-
AN is just a standard for fittings. So, am I right thinking it is some kind of a flared line in there? Mates up to the nipple czakky mentioned?
-
Not sure what an AN fitting is. But, you’re saying once they start leaking, it’s time for a new line?
-
For long while, I thought the leak was from the small rubber open hose (my combined fuel tank vent and tank over flow). In this image, I have cleaned it all up, applied foot powder and ridden 25 miles/ 40 km. The leaks are barely visible at the joint and mouth of what I believe is a flare fitting (?)
