    V11 left side

    Hot, hot, hot!
  2. This time the PC545 testbed took 5 days to fall below 12.65v (last time 2 days). Discharge/ charge/ monitor/ repeat. These are amazing batteries with the right attention. [edit/ 08 August 2018: last discharge to 12.64 took eleven days. Really amazing that a completely dead battery (just over 7 volts) has been recovered using these established methods. Don't throw away an Odyssey PC545 without trying attempting the recovery/conditioning.]
  3. " . . .happy Mercedes owners . . . " could be today's oxymoron . . .
  4. Here you guys go, again, "fueling" my Guzzichondria.
  5. Too, cool, BMEPdoc! Yes, more info on the injector refurb, please? [ Images look to be imgzeit ! ! ]
  6. My throttle bodies dripped here from new. The dealer told me about not just turning it on and off or running it briefly. *(I was strating it up all the time just to listen to the beautiful sounds ! ! ) Moto Guzzi paid to replace the entire throttle body/ injection rail under warranty, but the dealer was right about the brief starts making that drip.
  7. Right, Nero Corsa were all fully faired. And Öhlins. And 2003-4 (none in 2002). That looks to be a Franken-bike.
  8. BJ, I was thinking that a Decent Tune-up might be beneficial if the bike is running rich or the CO Fuel Trim is not correct. Worth doing: Decent Tune-up (Look for this thread to move to "Technical Topics", the preferred sub-forum for questions and discussion.)
  9. Assuming we're talking about the deep inside bearing that cover the small right side seal, the heat method works well, just much higher temperature than I would have thought. Once mjseymo confirms which bearing, I'll dig up the links I used to R/R mine recently. (Look for this thread to move to "Technical Topics", the preferred sub-forum for questions and discussion.)
  10. Hi, Blazej! Many of these V11 will do that if the ignition is switched on and off without starting, or starting only briefly (pressurizing the fuel system). There are those who have changed the O-rings on the shafts. Spray cleaning the spring and bottom area under the throttle body ( with throttle body cleaner) may be worth trying! Best of luck, and welcome!
  11. Different place, buddy. This one is further west, live music, BBQ. Fabulous, eclectic motorcycle crowd early on Sundays and surrounded by fantastic winding roads, well paved. Puckett's Grocery, Lieper's Fork, Tennessee.
  12. Finally, a cool day in this sweltering south'n summer . . . 80 miles in, enjoyed a little loop with a few good riders and back home before the afternoon thunderbumpers.
  13. You can get an idea by checking the depth inside the lock nuts to the swingarm pivots for symmetry. Also, if the steering damper is cranked up, it could affect this? I have mine set to minimum.
  14. I remember someone comparing it to a hot woman in a bright red dress . . .
  15. Today, I found the Sport just decelerates in a straight line releasing the throttle at 40-45 (even 60) and taking hands off the bars. Perhaps V11 drifting right might benefit from checking swingarm alignment?
  16. Seems like the Koehler in the CubCadet is close to 750cc. It just sits so, so much (thank goodness!)
  17. I believe I recognize the Poster Child!
  18. After connecting the 2010-88 to the Deka for a couple hours, then several discharge/ charge cycles (using 10 amps up to several hours), the 8-year old PC545 held to 12.65v over two and half days. I'll keep repeating the discharge/ charge cycles with the 6a Optimizer every time it statically discharges to 80% and see if she'll hold longer and longer . . . At this point, it seems the deep discharge recovery worked on a battery that was little over 7 volts! Dat's ded, mon! Thanks for posting that method, gstallons! http://www.odysseybattery.com/documents/ProceduretorecoverdeeplydischargedODYSSEY.pdf
  19. She'll just keep getting better!
  20. If your TPS is at 157mV >totally closed guzzidiag has outpaced the PC by a couple decades. Download it, get the Diagnostic Cables, and see where your CO Fuel Trim is (pre)set. Also, simple enough to disconnect the TPS and connect an Ohm meter. Roll the throttle gradually open and closed. There should be no *fits&starts* . . .
  21. Oh, dear . . . now I'm in love . . . Joss Stone . . . love this funky, reggae back-beat:
  22. Playing late into the night last night, I was captivated by the counterpoint of the bass line with this voice . . .
  23. The constriction point that is about an inch or so (4-5 cm) back from the mouth. I was surprised to find how restrictive and uneven it was at that junction with the "drain box" where the air flow turns upward. Final result:
  24. "My last modification to the snorkels was then the reshaping of the ends of the suction pipes to a bell shape, by means of hot air blower and beer bottle. And whether it was the shape or the beer, the air flow is now great ." - [Meinolf] I did not realize Meinolf had reshaped his intakes. He must surely be referring to the hard plastic intake, not the rubber snorkels. The only way to reshape those with a beer bottle would be to leave the bottle in place! While I have no data or other hard measures, I *feel* like my intake bells *helped* the Sport. They certainly sound better. to me) They were so asymmetrical before, I feel like evening them out and polishing the intake surface with the "glass mandrel" gives a cleaner, more balanced, intake flow. (Rather than "ram air") Plus, it was great fun! And there was some pretty good beer involved! https://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=19239&hl=%2Baria+%2Bstock+%2Bair+%2Bbox
  25. Yep, transitional model. Veglia gauges with the angle drives. Likely the earlier wiring harness that spres the ignition switch, but stresses an extra relay ($25 fix). I would want to be certain about the shiny vs fuzzy paint, otherwise, those burgundy tanks are really classy!
