  1. In 6 posts, all of the simple and straightforward approaches are noted. Definitely, do these things first (especially tuning the foot shift lever and mechanism). This is how my Sport behaved when the retention safety washer on the gearbox input hub failed and the hub had moved out to disengage the clutch inadvertently. Let's hope for shift lever adjustment!
  2. . . . yep, installing the front and rear LED turn indicators, one side only, I get turn signals on that side and 4-way flashers switching to the other side. Same with the LED flasher. So, I installed only the rear (only) LED indicators and get proper turn signals! That's how I'm going to roll, for now, while I try to sort the regulator and charging circuit. I'll obtain the correct dash indicator LED and put that on my list of "more things to do." Thanks, Kiwi_Roy! I would have been so frustrated and ticked off if this were an unexpected outcome! Once again, you guys totally rock! (PS- This new LED flasher is quite large. I have a modified location and modified seat pan, but it may not fit in just any V11.)
  3. Just for reference, the V11 tach is PN 02767200. I wonder if the EV tach (1100 Sport?) has the same redline and RPM range as the V11?
  4. If this is how Siberian women call in the boys for some action, I don't think we'll be having any shortage of little Siberians . . .
  5. But, we love ya anyway. >>grumble-grumble
  6. Homework!
  7. I had promised to take that voltage drop measurement and have yet to. I certainly will during this foray. luhbo and I briefly discussed moving the voltage reference, and I would still like to give that some consideration. At this point, not only is my headlamp on a dedicated circuit, but I'm running numerous LED (not sure how that may be affecting charging reference, if at all. I did decide to Remove/Replace the Regulator/Rectifier with an OEM R/R again this time (the ever quixotic docc). I'm going to look at grooming the harness so I can R/R the R/R without also R/R the tank. I recall when you took those good measurements, Roy. We were wondering why my regulator seems set higher and considered the reference wire voltage drop and the presence of the separate headlight circuit. Yet, the EuroMotoElectrics spec sheet states "Voltage setting 14.2 V / 350 watts." http://www.euromotoelectrics.com/product-p/edl450-voltrect.htm At this point, I also wonder about increasing the wire gauge of the red charging wire that normally runs to the nefarious melting 30 amp fuse.
  8. Ah-HAH! I knew I read this somewhere I accepted as a reliable source (Euro MotoElectrics invoice for my last Ducati Energia regulator): Hence, my method of opening the switch on my Big League Circuit Breaker in the charging circuit (which substitutes for the 30 amp fuse) while charging.
  9. I will, first, fit a new Ducati Energia OEM regulator and look for any change. This will be my fourth. They appear to last 34,000-37,000 miles for me, even with the case grounded. That's a cost of just over 1/2 US cent per mile. I see that this regulator is "set" for 14.2 volts with no apparent provision for tapering the charge to the AGM specified "float" voltage (13.4-13.8v).
  10. I am so jealous. I would absolutely LOVE to make this. The Ozarks are delightful! Perhaps I can make the redux in 2019 . . .
  11. I forget the numbers on the two Electrosport regulators, one is a direct replacement for the V11 and other requires connector modifications? Which is this, czakky?
  12. czakky, the gauges are the early white face Veglia used 1999-2002?
  13. Haha, yes. Some things do not stay "fixed." Of course, Guzzi2Go is entirely correct. The new jeweled lenses over the warning lamps make the flicker much more noticeable. I will need to turn my attention to the Sport's charging system. As luhbo has pointed out (also entirely correctly) my system is likely overcharging especially when the battery is at full charge.
  14. Imagine having yours performing in the ninetieth percentile . . .
  15. But, an expensive one that can leave you disappointed without a full understanding of its nature and requirements. Let's face it, even performing at 75%, these things are extraordinary batteries!
  16. Compression boost over time. A patina state-of-tune . . .
  17. So, why has the Cold Cranking Amps rating on the latest PC545 dropped from 185 to 150? And does that 20% difference even matter for our application ?
  18. I've used Techron. Not familiar with BG44 (?) I've also found that the current Shell premium fuel formulation that is Shell V-Power NitroPlus really agrees with my Sport's state of tune and carboned-up piston crowns.
  19. Ok, thanks for the heads-up. Certainly, not a plug&play thing, then. I appreciate your letting me know what to expect. I've put off the LED dash lights for a long time.
  20. Hansson posted pics of his V11 with Ducati fairing in his gallery. I think it look delicious!
  21. Nuts. So these LED turn indicators aren't going to work, even with the special flasher?
  22. Keith Code
  23. Count my PlayMoney in, then . . . Seriously, though, if the product doesn't fit the working drawing, the manufacturer *should* square it away, yes?
  24. Chuck (and Scud), I don't believe this community is going to stand for either of you eating the cost of anything.
  25. Spina Razzia Italia! (forgive my awkward stab at Italian . . . )
