  1. Perfect! But what a frighteningly tidy place. . . .

    1/4 Scale

What a joy! Makes me reconsider the gravity and importance of my *full size* , running, V11 > model
  3. Not like V11ers? Who'll adjust your valves, feed your dog, and share their beers? hm . . .
  4. I'm not sure where this is going, but Moderator-types have to be on the looky-out for these kinds of things . . .
  5. How excellent! Seventeen years! A dear friend asked me just the other day *why* I have kept my Sport all this time and "done what I have done" with it. I babbled about for a decent answer, we had a few beers, and few days later at a local pub, the truth rose to the surface: *It's about Community.* Good on ya, rossoandy! (now to get your image hosting sorted. PhoterBlockit hates us)_
  6. True.. true. But that's in the house. I'll hang the V11 stuff in the Guzzi Garage.™ Looking forward to a pic of where the tile banner ends up!
  7. Ok, ok - you guys caught me out. I did choose to leave the Shure55 in the foreground; and my Dad's planes: the large one in the front is a magnificent Anchor#5, Made in Sweden. The mic is a modern re-pop 55 that I use through my Fender Bassman (also a "reissue"). The art deco style of the mic is just fabulous. Combined with its functionality, it reminds me of the Sport.
  8. Yeah, I should have moved it so the V11 stand spindle, intermediate clutch disc, and the old Veglia would be visible. Everybody displays their clapped-out, old take-off parts . . . don't they?
  9. I do not recall the VIN identifies model variations. Parts "fiche" are by year ranges with noted variations for certain models (such as single plate clutches, handle bars and so forth). I find the Parts pdf indispensable .
  10. They are designed to hang vertically . . .
  11. Ah! I see that now. She’ll look mighty fine in Tenni colors! Welcome Frey!
  12. Too cool! My dealer promised me his and, true to his word, it’s hanging in The Lab-OR-story. Fun stuff!
  13. Well, now! That just >works
  14. I-am-so-jealous! Today, I had a banana, a granola bar, and an email that my V11 parts are delayed . . . So great to see these amazing images! What a great experience! That V11 is The Stunner!
  15. In my experience, it is *pretty* effective to discharge to a point of stability (this might get higher and higher as the battery gets stronger). In other words, turn the lights on for two or three minutes until the displayed voltage levels off. Terminate the discharge and monitor voltage until it rises and "levels off" again. Note the voltage. If under 12.65v, recharge (actually ->charge with sufficient amperage and voltage up to, but no more than 15.0vDC.) Monitor how long it takes for the battery to drop back to 12.65v (should take longer and longer with each *discharge-charge* cycle. Be aware of the temperature adjusted voltage values. [oh, and be certain your battery terminals and grounds are clean and sealed. Caig DeOxit rocks!]
  16. Not a "Café Sport" (no Öhlins, no handlebars, no frame mounted instruments/headlamp) . . . doesn't the side cover actually say "V11 Sport?" -> V11 Sport
  17. Relay #5 (at the rear, last one, at the back) must be rated "High Current": http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=19755&p=216605
  18. Haha, I don;t know what the "typos" were, but you can't get away with much with these smart lads. I'm hanging on Step#5: "Performing more than one discharge and recharge cycle is beneficial to increasing restored capacity. "
  19. I give the guy six months before the hood and front quarters of that Venza are painted a proper Carcano-green . . .
  20. I can identify with the point at which the feller in the back row sez, "Whaaa?"
  21. Sounds like you'll need a major-league *shitty stick* for the testing protocol. (Wear eye protection. Maybe one of those NBC suits for the inevitable splatter . . .)
  22. Greg Field ave us a good crossover thread *back in the day* http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=11564&hl=mistral
  23. Well said. Believe me, brother.. I feel your pain, and know *exactly* what you are talking about. I said, "Push back", but I realize I'm preaching to the choir on that point!
  24. Batteries like exercise! (discharge-charge-discharge-charge), but make sure the volatge(s) and amperage(s) are correct for the AGM. A discharged AGM (Odyssey) will not charge with less than 14.2v/ 6amps. Verify with a quality VOM. Don't trust the charger! Observe and measure, also, the "Float" voltage/ amperage specified values.
  25. Getting rid of the "surface charge" is easy. Leave the lights on a few minutes. (I watch the voltage drop until it stabilizes, then *lights off* and watch while the voltage restabilizes ("rest") before initiating *whatever* charge)
