  1. See, there? My Guzzi is exactly like that!
  2. BUT: we'll know it when they get it *right* . . .
  3. No wonder they can't "market" to the likes of us!
  4. Spoken like a tried&true SpineRaider, right there!
  5. I seem to recall a small collection of finely fettled V11 available in SoCal . . . http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=20113
  6. that's funny .. I didn't publish my birth date but I'd say I'm about the median age on this forum ! The BOA guys are / were 10 years older than me but I know some of them . Y'all crack me up."Go Jim Dandy!!"
  7. Yep, that's it (#15). When you open MI's website, paste your part number into the search, and vye-ola! Bub's yer cranky mum's bro: http://www.motointernational.com/store/product/GU01202830
  8. Scud has great comparison images in Post#34. Here's the easy way out for me: The challenge is going to be capturing images in the broad daylight from the angle looking down through the faceshield. That's when my (early Sport) lights become marginal.
  9. Here's a bump after working with LuckyPhil to restore the images in the Original Post. Thanks for the extra effort, LuckyPhil!
  10. Well, oval CF canisters, but what are they? Actually Mistral? M4? They don't look like the cf-wrapped stock LaFranconi. Tiny pod air filters, so the stock airbox is gone along with the sidecovers. All of these things can be made right. But, pull the seat and assess: Power Commander? Relays? Stray wiring added? Price is right, so all can be made good!
  11. Yet, that LeMans is fabulously gorgeous!
  12. Yeah, crispy candy apple green tart she is... and she may still swipe the FBF crossover. Perky tarts are known for this sort of behavior . . .
  13. fotoguzzi back in the V11 fold? This is a beautiful thing! Sure, the cable drive and the ITI are no more reliable than the earlier angle drives and the Veglia. And if you can live with the frame mounted headlamp and instruments, they are probably more "stable" at speed along with the handlebars. Some find the 5.5" rear rim better suited for a 170 than the 180, but that's easy to change. so . . . is it red or grey?
  14. thanks KR , you can hear the pump everytime . . . . good stuff , did I mention that I hate electrical stuff !?!? Moto Guzzi Making Electricians Out of Riders Since 1921
  15. Freakin' awesome. I have my replacement "jeweled" panel! I mean just a couple days. Like twelve bucks US. Harper's rocks! This forum rocks! You guys rock!
  16. You've gotta know that the RedFrame must be a true tart to push that gorgeous RedDress out of the house . . .
  17. Try turning the bars lock to lock while activating the starter. This often affect the connection of the clutch switch bullet connectors enough to know that is what is causing the failure.
  18. Last year, the EICMA thread just didn't go anywhere. Moto Guzzi didn't show us their . . . (new) models or new ideas. With roughly three years until the 100th Anniversary, one can hope . . . In a month EICMA will be over.
  19. And here, on my Sport, with the tank off (center of image) all groomed in tight along the frame and surrounded by heat shrink:
  20. Most common cause of silence when hitting the Start Button is bad connection at the two "bullet" connectors on the left side of the frame under the tank that connect the Clutch Safety Switch. Try holding in the clutch and keeping the Start Button press while swinging the bars lock to lock and see if it catches. Otherwise, clean, crimp, seal, and "groom": Shown here on a Rosso Corsa with the tank still on. Tight to get to.
  21. Best regards to Dave!
  22. How much were the heads "shaved/ decked/ milled/ surfaced?"
  23. No motor paint issues on the 2000, but that one looks like a black engine. Not sure why? More pics?

    Ram Mount.
