  1. Try removing first the tail light bulb, then the headlight bulb. They're easy to get to and could fault the circuit. Second, see what happens with the second relay removed, then swapped for an spare. Has anything been apart and back together on the bike lately?

    Size matters?

That's funny . . . I've long wanted to join a couple round fins at the exhaust and do the same.
  3. Such sublime silvery sweetness!
  4. I think Chuck's over heated coil was on an SP1000, so no Relay 5 like a V11.
  5. Yeah, hoping to hear from Todd today . . . .
  6. You ordered the folding toes, also?
  7. I'll try emailing him directly. Thanks!
  8. Unless those actuation screws had been monkeyed with prior the the failure, I would doubt they are the problem. So much more likely a stuck piston in the calipers or master. Sounds like the calipers were cleaned and fluid changed recently enough. But it is really good stuff to free up every individual piston and make sure the pad pins are clean, polished and lubricated (with gstallons-approved silcone grease). I suppose a steel braided hose (brake line) could get pinched or crimped, but I've not seen any fail otherwise.

If you have to ask . . .
  10. So, I ordered the folders ten days ago from GuzziTech. Payment processed same day. I also used their "Contact" service on their website same day to ask about modifying the levers to adapt the new pieces, expressing my concern and potential to cancel the order. Anyway, ten days out and no reply, no pieces. I can't find any other contact options on their website. Anyone have the skinny on how I can get in touch with them? (Not sure who is the principle there now; I recall they had some changes . . . ) Thanks, y'all!
  11. Where is this "hot expanding fluid" master cylinder screw adjustment?
  12. If there is a kindred spirit to the V11, it may be the "Spirit of Munro" . . .
  13. I mean, if you're going to do something *less-than-practical*, repurpose a V11 chunk and do the Morgan thing right!
  14. That lasted about 2,000 miles. Not bad, really: got me through the clutch replacement and the South'n Spine Raid.
  15. Öhlins internals for early Sport Marzocchi forks?!?!? More, more!! Also, word has been that the last of the Öhlins shocks spec'd for the V11 were used up years ago. This availability has changed?
  16. Solved forever! Nothing like combining your two worst fail parts for a final solution! Hmmm, you either bolted a speedometer or a rear tire on your side stand.... It's the retaining washer that failed and let my clutch input hub walk off. First ride after the big clutch reassembly and the silly foot bail let go again. I thought, "Man, I need a little crown-shaped thingy to get a grab on. AHA!"

  18. Seriously, if the Bavarians ever figure out how to wake up those boxer engines . . .
  19. I think we may have been out-hammered here: v2guzzi.blogspot.co.nz/2017/08/
  20. So much new material since I looked a week ago. Fabulous images. Vintage Guzzi! Who/where/when is that?!?
  21. That last one might-should have been in "Where did you go?" . . . here's one more for the photo:
  22. Haha, buddy, don't we some V11s kinda like that?
  23. Last Chance Texaco:
  24. While not ordinarily a BMW fan, this new R-nine-T GS has my attention for some reason . . .
  25. So, the improved running with a reliable relay in Position #5 is not new. This relay feeds the coils, injectors and fuel pump. The current is through the NO contact rated at 35 amps on the G8HE, so it is of concern that yours were failing there. I wonder why?
