  1. Nuts, buddy! There are better ways to change the steering rake!
  2. The best OMRON High Current "micro" relay is G8HE. http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=19755&p=216605
  3. I think these paparazzi were trying to get the Sport framed up, but I eluded them!
  4. About 1400 miles on from going back together (including almost 600 miles of South'n Spine Raid) and the Sport is fabulous. Just another shout-out to everyone who helped me on so many levels! V11Lemans.com members are the best! Here's a little surreal image I found of the clutch gear installation that looks like something out of The Matrix . . .
  5. Blueboarhound is still working on his image hosting . . . he's gonna have some great shots. The way back across The Cherohala was so clear I could not bring myself to stop. Otherwise:
  6. I imagine he would say to me: "Looks good, you should think about polishing the foot levers like Docc did. Hahaha! *guilty! I'm pretty sure everyone here knows I love all these V11 . . .
  7. Shiny stuff on early Sports! What would Luciano Marabese say ?
  8. Ah, yes, it belonged to ponti_33609 in Tampa, Florida, USA. I recall the tank was also built in England by The Tank Shop and had the forward style line not seen on this tank. Alas, his images have fallen under PhotoBlockit. Thread here: http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=16363&p=175827 This is at the shop before the polishing:
  9. Sweet, footgoose! Four-thirteen-ish years of the South'n Spine Raid and only the second Tenni I've ever seen. What a darling-of-a-V11!
  10. "Pay no attention to the man behind the [hammer] !"
  11. I managed to get this shot, but after that nobody could catch him!
  12. Yeah, man, footgoose's Tenni is a beauty! If anyone has some good images of it, that will be him (or his buddy on the V-Strom). And, if anyone has photos of (a Daytona in) the luscious Appalachian scenery, that would be Blueboarhound . . .
  13. Yeah, that's not PhotoBlockit. Not sure what hosting site that [was]. The original poster (LuckyPhil) will have to restore those ten images. The remainder of the thread has several images posted by Scud, Chuck, and czakky which may be helpful, but no substitute for LuckPhil's superb tutorial. Help us [LuckyPhil}, you're our only hope!
  14. They will have to be rehosted to post. Send me a link and I'll try to restore them.
  15. I cannot remember if you have inspected the timing chain and tensioner?
  16. Not just for Greenies, but here is an early V11 Sport review (in Italian):
  17. Any guesses what's behind the pillar that could mesmerize three (seemingly) grown men? (answer: V11 Tenni)
  18. You know you're with the right guys when a copper hammer appears . . .
  19. Then there was talking TNJake from trading his Rosso Corsa for a Hillbilly-Davidson just because mailboxes have more luggage space than Teknos. Well, that and you can mount a keg between them.
  20. Then there was a little "where'd the brake go" session . . . (Got to see some darn nice tool rolls!)
  21. We milked this one for quite a while.
  22. Weeeeelll . . . . I'm hoping some other SpineRaiders will post some photos and chime in. Most everyone crossed the Appalachian Divide at the Santeetla Gap following the old Qualla Indian Boundary on the Cherohala Skyway to the carnival that is The tail of the Dragon. There were some "subgroups" and lone wolves, but the Saturday group ended up together most of the day. Eight Guzzis and a Ducati. Plenty of tech. Some roadside, some garage. Here, an impromptu TechSession in how to cross one's arms thoughtfully and perform *tsk-tsk* sounds under the breath . . .
  23. Greenie mating ritual where the male gives all . . .
  24. How many km have you ridden it like this? Are all of the valves holding their adjustment?
