Struggling to separate the two halves of the drive shaft

I noticed how rusty the surfaces of the swingarm bearings are, as well. Life in the salt air of the Manx Sea, @Molly ? -

Yah, I noticed the O-ring is encapsulated in the rust . . . -

I read somewhere that a mix of 1/2 acetone + 1/2 automatic transmission fluid is a potent penetrating oil. Drizzle, heat, wait, repeat (maybe add a little vibration/percussion) while leaving the contraption in that tension state . . . perhaps, alternate with striking it into compression . . . Once apart, there is an O-ring in there that will need renewing. -
spoof! "Trick-or-Treat!"

Ah, yes, greasing the front Uni-joint can lead one to desperate measures . . . -
Lots of us just remove the spacers and mount the signals directly.

Absolutely gorgeous V11 Sport! Does the regulator hang at a funny angle? Not loose on one side?

Just a reminder if too much grease is left in the shaft cavity, the halves will not go back together or there will be restricted movement interfering with suspension travel. Nice to hear you enjoy "the process." Your spineframe will love you back! -

Yes, they should slide freely apart. Yours has, evidently, rusted together. A good find and important to address! Perhaps an overnight with a penetrating product, then heat and some tapping with a persuader? Otherwise, penetrating oil-> heat-> hydraulic pressure pumping grease into the center Zerk? -
I found my new "car"; perfect for Houston weather...

It's been some years (and years!), but it seems like it was off 7-8 mph at in the upper range. So much that, at my 62 (indicated) in road posted at 55mph speed limit, I was traveling more like 55. While this is the posted speed limit, drivers are absolutely intolerant of this and treat it as an affront. Especially from some dork in the middle of the lane on a silly, minty green, scooter . . . -
Initial press releases and promotional materials claimed the introductory V11 Sport would have WP rear shock. Even the Owner's Manual states "W.P. or SACHS", yet I have never heard of or seen a WP shock on a V11. Perhaps, a few of the very earliest released in Italy or Germany? Our members there would have to confirm . . . As for the forks, it seems there are only references to Marzocchi. Again, I've never heard of WP forks on a V11 Spine frame. Anyone?

Living in a rural area, I find the minimum necessary speed to get the ten miles to the closest town is 62 mph/ 100 kph with 70 mph capability. I confirmed this, in no uncertain terms, riding my wife's 250cc Vespa that Piaggio claimed a top speed of 70mph. Running flat-out on the highway, traffic would stack up behind me, follow too close, and make maniacal passes. Checking the speed with my GPS, I found top speed closer to 60mph. What Piaggio meant, of course, was that the speedometer was set to indicate 70 mph as the top speed. . . -
All y'all should tell everyone you know, and the entire web-world, to vacation in Australia. Where I live, there are volcano-fueled potholes in the road the size of a rented Hyundai. There are alligators in all the hotel swimming pools and vipers in the toilets. You can't walk down the street without an earthquake dragging you into a tornado (which happen every nine seconds). The wildfires seem to consume .com "places of interest" with alarming regularity. Don't get me started on the Murder Hornets (the size of your fist, they carry children off). Not that there are many children here as the locals eat their young. "Dogs and cats, living together. Mass hysteria ." Australia's 1500 spider species and 21 venomous snakes is a tourist paradise!
