  1. (testing a new image host since PhotoBlockit has let us down) . . .
  2. luhbo, this Hammerite product "bright red, smooth"? http://www.actiocms.com/VIEW_MSDS/AuthorDisplay_V402/msdsdisplaycode_author_new_MASTER.cfm?edit_msds_id=5810&dbname=production&Hide_Section_Numbers=N&formatcode=7&language=1&noprint_label_fax_email=Y
  3. That has maybe five of the seven known food-groups!
  4. And from Goofman (1200SPORT): "To know a tool, and to use it well, in the service of others, perhaps that is enough."
  5. I, of course, love this, by gstallons : "You don't own the V11 because it does anything better. It doesn't . You own it because it defines you." - gstallons, 2017
  6. I just had to repost this image for the Tried-and-True Greenie Nuts here (you know who you are ) http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=5556&p=96810

Haha - now I see it was taken during the 2016 South'n Spine Raid!
  8. Similar looking 2006-2007 Breva 1100 clutch slave does not fit V11.
  9. Well, the good news is I got the slave off without too much drama: removed only the exhaust system behind the header tubes (in one piece), and managed to get the hex drive fasteners out with a little heat and a few hammer/ drive taps, and removed the slave working from below with the V11 on the lift all the way up. (I had dreaded this job thinking I would be pulling the swingarm and drilling out the fasteners.) Took the seals to my local rubber/gasket supplier and they will have vendor spec them (and build the square section seal if necessary), after the holiday.
  10. I tried the nail polish thing, but no real perfect match. That said, your daughters are likely expert rated at this sort of thing . . . Halford's Tool Box paint is purported to be a great match, yet is likely a British thing. I had a good outcome with Krylon Indoor/Outdoor Gloss Banner Red. http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=16190&p=195940 I really thought Testor's (model paint) in Italian Red was great, but have been cautioned that it would contain no hardeners common to automotive paints. Maybe okay for touch-up.
  11. Two-months-and-about-a-week out and I keep thinking the Sport is all ready to go (got the new gauges installed and the rear drive leak has abated) . . . [knock on wood/ nudge-nudge-wink-wink/ throw the doll over the cliff] . . . Now my clutch has gone flinky. This triskaidekaphobia is wearing my *seat interface* out!
  12. I'd like to find these two simple seals . . . [edit: I asked the ebay seller about returning the Breva part and he immediately refunded my money. So, 1) if anyone needs a Breva clutch slave, I'll send it to you, and 2) David at Redlands Cycles in Oregon City, OR, USA is top notch (ebay seller: gsmess )
  13. I can see these marks, but can't feel them. Even after cleaning and lubing it, the piston doesn't slide back into the bore very easily.

Breva clutch slave cylinder looks like V11, but does not fit.
  16. So, yep: NOPE! The later (Breva) slave won't fit. All of the external dimensions are the same EXCEPT for the "2nd step" (too big on the later model) and the Breva piston is 2mm bigger. (*Might* still work if the "2nd step" wasn't too big to fit all the way into the gearbox case.)

  19. Restoring PhotoBlockit images, I'm running across some amazing images within our forums: http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=5556&p=103957
  20. I thought that's what we are here for! The new owner will learn a lot here. Even to clean up for a living room, that bike will need some attention. Hopefully, he/she will be a rider, find V11 LM.com, and become a "valued member of the team" (that be a joke around my work) "found" at Sonny Angel Cycle shop mad me think 'Sonny Barger - Hells Angel' affiliation ... nope, it's this interesting guy- cool story. http://www.guzzitech.com/forums/threads/sonny-angel-moto-guzzi-calls-it-quits-hes-earned-it.8251/ Anyone have an experience with this shop/guy? Not that Mr Barger is uninteresting. His book is a cool read, even with the omission of all the crap he obviously can't say. anyway... good luck to the new owner. 8k is not a horrible price for a 'new' bike. The Tenni listed for 13990. as I recall, I paid 11,875. after it sat for almost a year at Harpers. Seems I paid $11,997US for my Sport. Right now, that comes in at just under 12¢ a mile!
  21. +1 on Dan Kyle. And for shipping, my V7 son just had to send forks back and forth and the dealer recommend using a rifle case. Very cost effective and worked perfectly sent inside an outer packing box.

  24. Looks like you are "taking the road less traveled!"
  25. While I was repairing image links on the forum today, I ran across this excellent Öhlins fork thread by Chuck. Check it out: http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=19782&p=216930
