  1. ID of the cylinder bore? This Breva cylinder is 1.260" on my English-speaking dial calipre. ( x 25.4 = 32mm). Piston length: 20mm
  2. Seems a piston diameter difference of 2mm might be significant?
  3. Hey, Scud, measure your piston diameter?
  4. Comparing Scud and Andy's V11 cylinder to this one from a 2006-2007 Breva part. The O-rings would have separate part numbers?
  5. Ok, so, the top holes, mounting holes, and cylinder extensions check out. Could be down to measuring method, but this piston looks to be 32mm and the outer diameter of the "Stepped part" of the cylinder: 37mm
  6. First question: are both of the threaded inputs on the V11 slave the same size/ thread?

  8. So, the Grimeca clutch slave cylinder arrived disassembled (better than coming full of hydraulic fluid!) and includes the three fasteners, which are in good condition. There are two O-rings inside the bore.
  9. One more beautiful thing, well spoken. I'm thinking we need a pinned thread of this kind of poetic expression.
  10. ". . . a V11S . . . It's the last of the *real* Guzzis... Ahem. If I have to explain, you wouldn't understand . . ." Chuck St'r. / 2017
  11. I've seen lots of threads go asstray, but this this one . . . . my, my . . .
  12. Wow, Dali and Moto Guzzi . . . a match made . . . "M-o-t-o G-u-z-z-i . . . Who makes that and what kind of motorcyclist are you?" *surrealism is what surrealism isn't* . . .
  13. Aaaaah! "Chiavi!" ( > "keys"
  14. I'll have the Breva slave in hand in a few hours if anyone can compare some measurements.
  15. That is sooooo cool! Thanks for pointing that out!

  17. Having seen a Stornello V7 II in person, I was really impressed with the fit and finish and all the nice pieces. The Stornello pictured is a "II" . . . yours, as well, Bill?
  18. That kinda cuts right to the chase!
  19. I've never seen, or heard of, a V11 with less than 5 relays. The Sport1100 (carbs) definitely has 3, not sure about the pre-V11 injected Guzzis. Post a pic of under the seat on that "3-relay" V11 and we can check it out . . . Read up on the relays. There is no reason on earth, at this point, to fall into a relay failure. They have been quite common. Why? Because so many relays simply are not up to the current requirements. Sure, there (may be) guys still running their original Seimans. But why take the chance? Run the Best Relays (they're pretty much the same money): http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=19755&page=5&&do=findComment&comment=216605
  20. I find this view more compelling:
  21. Loks like that's all that image will give us. Try this one:
  22. I'm ready for another subtle clue . . .
  23. Hmmm, plus, when I read "not installed", I thought the mounts are not installed (?) That's why I said, "I would want to see to the mounting myself."
  24. Footgoose begs the question, then: what is the "certain width" that becomes oversize?
  25. The dimension I posted is the width across the bags, mounted. Yeah, they might squish a bit, but shipping companies will probably take a maximum dimension. My mounts (without bags) are ~18", Mistral canisters ~23", bar-end weights ~29"
