The curious phrase "go and roger " rises to the surface . . .

Looks like everyone is on the same page.

Pete has said stainless steel, not less than 2mm:
-
With that, adding @DucatiGuzziIndian's own plate, and considering @swooshdave's friend, I get ten at this point. No word from @Dragonknee, but he can get his from @Speedfrog's generous offer . . .

I went back to my original notes from 2016 and found more detail. Pretty impressive your 48/52% weight distribution, @Lucky Phil. We were most interested in weight distribution with the rider on board, in gear, with typical luggage/load and "some" fuel. My weight distribution with about 1/4 tank of fuel in that configuration is 43/57. I did also weigh the Sport by itself and got 46/54 at 524# / 238 kg. So, redoing the math from the notes, taking out the fuel, the Stucchi+GPS and adding back the original LaFranconi canisters and fuel evap system, a factory RedFrame V11 Sport comes in at 530 pounds/ 241 kg. Seems the Lucky_Phil V10 Sport is ten kilos (22 pounds) lighter, even with the V10 motor! I mean, sure, that's just 4%, but just try losing 22 pounds your-own-self! [The published weight "dry" of the 2000 V1 Sport is 219 kilos. Even taking out the gearoil, reardrive oil, motor oil, battery, and the fuel evap system I can't get any place close to that. Never ask an Italian girl what she weighs. She'll tell you 45 kilos. And they'll never find your body . . . ]

hmm. Let me take out my original notes and check my math. Not really used to thinking in kg . . .
-
Amending for the pannier/load out and a half tank of fuel, I get 223 kg. Add back abut 5 kilos for the weight of the stock LaFranconi canisters = 227. US V11 with the evaporative fuel vapor system are going to come in very close to 230 kg/ 506 pounds (if my fast math is right . . .). [edit: revised, below: a factory RedFrame V11 Sport comes in at 530 pounds/ 241 kg. ]

I added the notification format to your post, @DinoMike. @drossell7 hasn't visited since October 22. Did you try sending him a Message by selecting that option when you hover over his username? -
Watching for @Dragonknee to confirm. (✔️) and anyone else that wants to come on . . .

How long shall the "list"/order window remain open, @DucatiGuzziIndian? Or, as Meinolf would tell us, precisely 157 mV. -
@DucatiGuzziIndian/Andrey, Thanks for the interest in offering this to the community! At last roll call (May 2023), there were eight parties interested in nine plates before @Dragonknee inquired in October making a potential for ten (to be verified): Curious how this latest, authorized, run might be inscribed . . . "Rusty Star Picket Project Redux " . . . ? The last genuine original motomoda plate:

@pete roper's post from February 2019 referencing his preference for charitable contributions: "MSF"/ "Doctors Without Borders " This was also the post that coined the phrase "Rusty Star Picket " as the object of a preposition.

docc replied to p6x's topic in Commercial Ads
Nothing wrong with the original post. I took your joking tone and tried to reply in kind. I don't think my reply came back as funny as I meant it . . . At one time, there was some consensus that "Commercial Classifieds" are best focused on Moto Guzzi models, but that "Personal Classifieds" are for anything a member has to sell. Where the non-Spine Frame V11 content gets confusing is in Technical Topics and 24/7 V11. Those subfora really are for SpineFrame V11 (LeMans and Sport variants). Otherwise, we have "Older Models" for the Tonti variants, even though "Older Designs" might be more correct. That aside, let's part this EV out! The motor will bolt up to a 6speed in a spine frame, although it has different heads, smaller valves, and a gentler cam (different pistons/ compression ratio, as well?) Aren't the white face Veglia instruments the same? Not sure what else a SpineRaider could use off an EV . . . -

"Belongs here?" Not really. "Red and beautiful?" Certainly! "V11EV" are not V11LeMans/Sport/SpineFrames . . . So very little in common, as it turns out. -
ANSWERED No power with a brand-new battery
docc replied to thelonewonderer's topic in Technical Topics
My experience is that a V11 idle below 1000 rpm is a bad idea on several levels. Better to pump oil and even out the power pulses. No Guzzi has been injured with a higher idle. Idle lower at your peril . . . -
This so reminds of getting all giddy over a V7 loop-frame. Then wanting another gear in the box. Maybe another 50cc. How about disc brakes? A Tonti frame. Maybe another 100cc, even up to a thousand ? Some bigger valves, a better cam . . . bigger carbs? Better wheel sizes . . . How about a Spine Frame? Fuel injection . . . different drive ratios with 6speeder to settle the engine/shaft angles . . . but still two valves, air cooled . . . It always just brings me back home . . .
