Oh, my, no. Ducati Owners Insist That Everything Be Capitalized.

Sounds like your tires will be fine, just address the pressures. Yeah, DigiKey is great. Probably have your relays there quickly. If not? They'll probably be *fine* . . . Once home you can sort the suspension. The spring preload requires tank and airbox removal, so (again), it'll be fine for now!

Maybe I was "soft-pedalling" that a bit . . . If I were going to fly-and-ride a 16 year old V11, I would install a pocket-full of G8HE OMRON, tighten the battery terminals, check the voltages, and service the tires. And back the little Bitubo steering damper all the way off. If the tires have *old* build dates (pushing ten years old), and the ride was more than couple hundred miles, I would consider having a set of fresh tires mounted locally before heading out.

So, there you have it, Swooshdave! Yes, there are Sport fairings you can fit to the Greenie. No, they are probably not the originaly available Stucchi, but later Givi designs. If you know what your looking for, you might turn up an original (Moto Guzzi accessory) Stucchi for the Greenie. The Imminent-net is a wondrous place! Otherwise, be mindful of the mounting change that Scud and nobleswood have noted.
-
The Scura/ RM and later "frame mount" Sport fairings are still the same pieces, aren't they?
-
Correct early Stucchi (note the center extension covering the base of the windscreen):

The Stucchi (a little more *bikini-like*) :

Original Moto Guzzi accessory fly screen/ bikini fairings for the original V11 Sport (1999-2001) were color matched fiberglass (silver, black, V11 Green) , built by Stucchi Luigi of Mandello del Lario. That is not the one pictured in post#1. Later V11 Sport fairings (Rosso Mandello, Scura etc?) were of Givi design (as I recall), somewhat larger, and differently shaped than the early 'glass Stucchi.

The V11 is *probably* a bit more "rear weight biased." Springs might be kinda soft if you weigh more than 165 pounds in your race leathers . . . Might want to back the steering damper all the way off before you get out on the freeways passing trucks . . .

Seriously guys, if you keep using 10 amp relays (NC) where you need 12.5 amps and 20 amp relays (NO) where you need 22.5 amps (continuous), you'll continue to be disappointed. Usually at awkward times. Jus' sayin' . . . See: G8HE-1C7T-R-DC12 http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=19755&p=216605 Re: voltages: 1) key off after 6 hours minimum - 12.65-12.84vDC (85-100%) would be ideal. Less than 12.65, I would charge the battery appropriately before riding. 2) key on/ lights on 2-3 minutes - 11.5-12.0 v (over 12.0 would be a good sign!) 3) cranking >10v minimum 4) idling > 12.84 would be nice, but at least 12.5v (discharging a little at idle) 5) at *some* rpm (2500-4000) Ideally? 14.2 vDC [i would also look at tire date codes and be certain tire pressures are addressed. Early Sports were delivered with super-soft Pirelli Dragon Corsa spec'd at 33/37 psi. That's really soft for a 550 lb bike! 35/40 has worked a lot better for me.]

Oh, I'm aware it's 3D printing.. but full 3D cad is a black art. That's not an *easy* part to program. sp838 and his black arts . . .

hmm. . . LeMans from Farmington, MI . . . Buell bits . . . BMC even . . . This rings some bells. What was your username in your prior life here? (BTW, welcome back!!)

I would not take a V11 any distance without putting OMRON G8HE in all the slots. They're cheap, readily available and address three of the most significant fail points on the Gen I V11. A few simple voltage tests before departing would be telling (after taking a 10mm to the battery terminals to snug them up).

The workshop manual for the early Sport with the external regulator specifies 3 +/- 0.2 bar. The external pump has a relief valve set at ~5 bar.

Not sure of the build date but it's listed as a 2001. What is the build date ? Where is the build date located? On the VIN plate? It is inscribed on the metal plate on the left side of the frame's head tube.
-
Those are designed by member sp838. Check out his gallery.

Italian sushi, California style!

Not sure of the build date but it's listed as a 2001. No problem with the early, early triples then. Seems like a guy looking for a green RedFrame, that finds a green RedFrame, might find himself startled awake at night repeatedly by the (apparent) sound of the Mistral.

All right, allright . . . in all fairness: all the V11 have some "things" that will need to be seen to. The 2002 leads this parade because of the bubbling paint. RedFrame gearcase cracks? Don't wheelie it and don't crash. If it worries you, add the frame brace. The Veglia and the ITI both have "issues."( My fourth speedometer and third tach will be Speedhut.) After riding my RedFrame Sport for about 30,000 miles (three or four years), I rode an '04 Café Sport: braced LongFrame with *handlebars* (not clip-ons), wider rear wheel/tire, Öhlins and such. I immediately found it *so much more stable* (read: "slower to turn in"), and more *relaxed* (read: "more relaxed"). I've never spent any real time behind the LeMans faring, but am very happy with the air flow off my early Stucchi. Early RedFrames will appreciate careful suspension tuning and tire selection (like all bikes). Very, very early RedFrames had steeper triple clamps. What is the build date on this bike you're looking at?

Here's a guy who, in his first five posts, swears three times and hammers twice. I think your dues are paid, man! Regarding PC vs re-mapping . . . why not simply perform a "Decent Tune-up", tweak the CO Fuel Trim as necessary (with guzzidiag) and see how she goes without getting carried away?
-
Would the twin plate clutch push rod have to be altered to use a Scura/Tenni/RM input hub and the RAM 5speed kit?
-
Yeah, we need more *Greenie attitude* . . . . BigBlock and LuckyPhil and LowRyter need somebody in their corner! And then, you'll find yourself in a tight bond with other RedFramers. A dubious lot . . .
-
And the twin plate 6speeder already has the correct hub?

The color of the '02: "champagne." One of the most beautiful LeMans colors, IMHO. Everybody knows I love them all, but there are a few that really pop the design language, and I think the champagne is one. I suspect the red/grey of '02 is more common, but IDK. Sweet ride, man!
