  1. Yes, look deep into the well for a ring terminal that got left off from either the positive or negative terminal stacks. So very common.
  2. Ah, yes, yes. Let's ask the other inmates on the ward if we are really and actually crazy...
  3. There you have it. If your V11 has it . . .
  4. Good points. Perhaps members with Lambda V11 can share. I have never seen the location of the O2 sensor on a V11 Sport/LeMans and cannot find it on my Parts Catalogs . . .
  5. Is that where the V11 LeMans sensors are (on the crossover)? Or on the header pipes?
  6. That is a high compliment among so many admirable Moto Guzzi. It occurred to me that this particular V11 Sport Has been present at all nineteen of the nineteen South'n SpineRaids. (Would not have been possible without this amazing community!)
  7. Photo-crashing RedFrameTrash !
  8. Once Bill Hagan shares his memoir, I try to always post a favorite from his admirable presentation . . .

    Ouch
  10. A sad and recurring issue with web postings: a ten year old topic by a poster who has not visited in two years. The images become "de-hosted" and de-linked. Only the OP, @Bjorn, could restore these, AFAIK . . .
  11. This is the front subframe we are talking about (#2, below)? The tank would have to be off for access to the upper fasteners and I would think the front of the spine frame would need to be suspended from above . . .
  12. This! [Combined replies to one thread. Looking forward to the Tattly Rappit report, with "Pics from Down Under"" @cash1000!]
  13. I did not intend to over-post this inquiry @fotoguzzi @activpop . . . .
  14. This looks to be the correct number for the early V11 6speeder recall kit: 973260900016 https://www.parts-piaggio.com/gilera-piaggio-vespa/assignment_spare_parts/GU973260900016 Link to recall notice with serial numbers affected:
  15. Those are they!
  16. Does your V11 have an O2 sensor? I didn't think the US V11 did, certainly not the early ones . . .
  17. For your V7 @LaGrasta? (I'd be surprised if your 2003 V11 carry-over has an O2 sensor . . . ?)
  18. I've followed this thread and, upon review of the content, a simple title change is appropriate. It seems the Original Poster would approve.
  19. Silver = "QuickSilver!" Where "S" = "Sport" . . .

    Overcharging

Or bad voltage spikes from this all-too-common V11 Achilles' Heel fault as the stator wires degrade, undetected . . .

    Overcharging

Apparently, the regulator is preset at 13.8vDC, so that may be just fine and correct. Altering the headlight wiring (bypassing Relay #2 with a dedicated circuit), or running an LED headlamp affects the reference voltage and may set the higher (>14v) charging voltage.

    Overcharging

As your rpm rises, is there a point in the 2000-2500 rpm range that the voltage switches to 14.1-14.2? I could see no reason for "spikes" unless there are faults . . .
