The blue is quite rare. I've seen one. Possibly North America only?

Realize that when we say "V11" on this forum, we specifically mean V11 Sport/LeMans spine frame variants, 1999-2005. Elsewhere, "V11" may more likely mean the range of Tonti frames Moto Guzzi, often referred to as Californias or EV, that used a variant of the V11 motor. So, some part or procedure shown to be for a "V11" may not apply to the spine frames at all and v.v. ~

This sounds exactly like the problem here with white tail deer. I keep telling anyone who rides to donate rifle cartridges to their hunting buddies. The deer are "OOC" and the hunting buddies will share steaks and burger venison. Win-win! I have never heard if 'roo meat is worthy of the grill . . .

Interesting. That has been my method when adding a clock, or any instrument. Along with mounting as a "cluster" rather than a "scatter" or a remote location, especially avoiding further from the line-of-sight to the path-of-travel. I once read (one never knows if these things have any basis in fact) that the trend to convert aircraft cockpits to all digital displays was met with dismay from the pilots claiming the vast array of digital displays were much harder to interpret than "dials." The method of mounting each analog instrument in an array such that "normal" points all of the needles at (or about) 12:00 has long been used in race cars and hot rods (perhaps aircraft, as well?). Something I incorporated into my face and range design of the Speedhut on mySport. The goal being fast reading-at-a-glance: 5th gear, 4k rpm/ 100 kph/62 mph: both needles at 11:00 . . .

Perhaps the early (1999-2001) V11 Sport has the success of the 1993 Ducati "Mostro" to thank for some of its acceptance. Luciano Marabese certainly made no "copy" of the Monster, but the "naked bike" genre had been cast. Since the Monster, Galuzzi (an Argentinian who would spell his first name "Miguel"), became a key design influence at Piaggio. Fitting the shock with the body and spring at the frame side better manages the "unsprung weight" business, yes?

Yes. Reports of shock eye failure, at the swingarm, go way back. More recently, reports of bolt failures at the reaction rod/frame junction on earliest V11 sport before Moto Guzzi superseded the bolt. Both are oft overlooked maintenance items, it seems . . .

Grease those pivot bolts liberally. As well as the pivot bolt for the reaction rod where it connects to the frame . . .

I have always thought that space was "sealed." Caution has always been advised not to over-grease and "hydro-lock" the sliding shaft junction. Maybe there is a relief "hole" that should be seen to?

Where is this relief hole to be found? And should it be "maintained?"

So, this conundrum is down to change in "offset" and not "angle" or "cant?"

Makes me wonder how many of these "holes" get blocked? I thought that space as closed off . . .

This image makes me revisit the idea that @Pressureangle's issue could be "mechanical." (If the switch cleaning/service is not entirely effective). Just thinking that, if these "detents" wear, the indexing on the switch could become compromised and allow the "park" lights to activate as a fault . . .

You cannot feel any "play" or looseness between the rear yoke and rear portion of the shaft? (That would be * bad * ) Most of these yoke/shaft junctions are welded up tightly. So much so, that too much grease in the shaft connection can lock/impede normal shaft sliding movement. Looks like yours has some "relief" for that area . . .

I am certain I am not the only one to write up an ad to sell something of my own and think, "Wow, this piece looks great, I should own this! And [he is] practically giving it away . . . "
