  1. Not sure what you mean by "email alerts?" Here are the links you had posted: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethanol https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20120517170037AAlSJvz

    Mirrors

Interesting: on your pics on the other thread, the stalks look horizontal. Must be 36+ inches tip to tip?

    Mirrors

So, your new mirrors are a vast styling improvement over the boxy ones shown in the "action shot." They look more like they belong on a BMW . . .

  5. Pi. - Start a new thread also in Technical Topics to show which screws are needed. Forum members will help you find the correct fasteners!
  6. What does it mean: "balance charging?"
  7. Seems like 20mm drop at the rear would make the front awfully light . . .
  8. Looking, now, for the Ride Report!
  9. Awww . . . I feel bad with my post knowing full well some excellent ladies have joined in over the years. More consoling to come! Sure have missed you two these last couple years.
  10. Yes, make sure the regulator case (body) is grounded directly to the engine and clear any paint from the connection surfaces. With such a big stack of terminals fastened to the battery, it is common to drop one on re-installation. Look for a loose, unattached loop connecter near the battery.
  11. How much did you drop the rear ride height? (Seems like the ride height changes double the shock length change.)
  12. Change your front preload to match?

    oil leak

Got off for something less than 94 Euro?
  14. This is all my older brother's fault! He would let me takes spins on his Yamaha SR500 "Eeyore." When the time came to bring something of my own home, he took me around to look at proper "entry bikes:" Yamaha Seca 600, Honda Hawk GT, and the GB. I found the GB about an hour from here having languished in a little country shop for two years. The over-$4000 price had given way to less than 2500. It's probably worth twice that now even with the miles. She is an absolute sweetheart.
  15. It's a fine looking "Sport" no matter how you slice it!
  16. Is there no way to know where it was originally sold? Or even registered? Like a "CarFax . . ."
  17. It does look exactly like a 2004 LeMans except for the faring. The VIN have been so dubious on Moto Guzzi that I wonder how anyone could declare it a Corsa form the numbers. Even down to a "black" Corsa and not red? Probably not as much of a Frankenbike as you would have first thought.
  18. We are shaping up to be six leaving Middle Tennessee on Friday morning, the 12th of September, for the 200 mile ride over the Cumberland Plateau to Tellico Plains. More details later on the rendezvous point (read: "breakfast!") for those who might like to join us. Otherwise, see you all mid-afternoon at The Lodge. Owing to the deep shadows riding into the sun, and yearning for a fresh route, we will likely head south on Saturday to European Motorsports in Dahlonega, Georgia. Somehow, a brush up the Cherohala should be in order as well. Remember, all, this is a non-event with no plan, no organization, no affiliations. Simply put: some guys with similar bikes might end up in the same place at the same time and compare notes. Maybe share relays (bring extras!).
  19. Maybe we should start a Scouring Thread. Your Dream Bike Next . . . Yesterday, I've owned my Honda GB500 22 years since new (48,680 miles/78.500 km) First motorcycle! And tomorrow: the V11 Sport since new 14 years (90,860 miles/146.500 km).
  20. Those are about the simplest tuning instructions I've ever seen. I wonder why/how the later V11 is tuned to a smaller throttle opening?
  21. I'm sure if I tore the motor down, I would find the heads and valves could use freshening. Maybe at 160.000 km (100k miles)! I think the improvements of the '03-'04 V11 are very desirable. You would not be disappointed with an R/N Corsa!
  22. Yes, the links you posted are gone.
  23. Hmmm, "The 9th digit is undefined." If that's the case, I wonder why the ninth character varies?
  24. Seems like I recall the O-ring fits below the spacer(s). Apparently, it is a black art to determine the spacer thickness. In fact, Luigi does not do this in Mandello. They call in a Specialist. Some burly cat named: Griso
  25. Post back how that works out. I forget the relative merits (and drawbacks and costs) of the various options. Every time I try to wrap my brain around it, a diode fries in my frontal lobe . . .
