Right off I would have said: clutcth switch connectors or neutral connector ( at the left side plate on the gearbox.) But, at 12.33v the battery should read 12.7 and with a HAWKER oDYSSEY: 12.84. The battery could be unhappy. Is it the original?

I'm reading the 1200 Sport has a 550 watt alternator. Would that retro fit to the 1064 motor? The V11 is rated at 350 but at 10,000 rpm. Maybe thay rated this new one at 20, 000.

Fahrenheit or Celcius , 360 degrees doesn't seem all that cold . . .

You should be able to look at the right side throttle linkage and see movement when you engage the high idle lever by the left grip . If not, perhaps the cable needs a good juicing . I like BreakFree CLP to penetrate the housing from above and leave Teflon behind.

Damn, I'm really not sure I can read that post. But, it is just directed at 'Dave?' Maybe it ain't fer me. Mebbe I would learn something. I'm not even sure what thread this is anymore. Were we talkin' about oil filters or saving the world . . .?

I can't even tell you the quote is ver batum. I certainly don't believe everything I read on the internet, magazines, books or see on TV , in movies or sometimes even with my own eyes. It is notable that these acused did have trials which is a far cry from what Mussolini was met with.

Waytek's site wouldn't take my $3.00 order so I'll give them a call. Gotta have one of those circuit breakers. ! I'm running a 10 amp fuse for my headlaight circuit and lowered the 15a to a 10a in the fuse block for the ignition switch.

The Diablos finally arrived. They are neither Corsa nor Strada. 'Normale' I would say. I guess 'Supersport' doesn't really mean anything. Still this was a good deal for Pirellis. I remember there is a code in th mold for date of manufacture. Does anyone remember how to read that?

I have some misgivings about the structure and dimensions. I've already redesigned the brcketry to hold the rack off the mounting plate to utilize plate instead of bar stock. Fitting from a diagram is going to be dicey. The rack sits about 10 mm outboard of the passenger peg bracket which itself angles forward and inward. I would like to mount the main mounting pplate inside the subframe bracket for the passenger peg hanger. To complicate matters that subframe bracket appears to angle outward 15 degrees or so and fore to aft 10 degrees +/-. How would you fit something like this?

Having added fused feeds to the headlights, horns and an accessory plug I felt good about moving the terminals off the battery onto junction blocks. On the 2000 this meant moving the turn signal flasher over to the relay side. Recently, I added a separate regulator fuse since my 30 amp was melting from the small weak connectors in the fuse block. In order to limit the number of junctions and connections in that circuit, I put that terminal back directly on the battery.

Just an observation, no attempt at justification. I really think the whole thing sucks. I am frankly quite weary of standing alert. But my family and my community are depending on those who will. Those who will stand alert. I do not expect to stand down. The price of freedom is eternal vigilance.

Dog and Cat Diary

This method works much better on the dogs themselves as their Pavlovian responses seem much more intact than those of the owners . The dog's chuff may require a bit better aim to nail equivocally. -
Indeed. Let us offer our respect. And know that Veteran's Day is not Memorial Day. . Last night I took out some of my father's memoribilia. The hats, the brass . . . the casket flag. I do remember the fallen on this day and also, and more so, the fighting men who are our veterans of today.

There's a thread HERE on hard wiring the headlamps.

You'd think after all these k'thousands of years we'd have figured out the perfect way to solve all the world's problems. I suppose it's not to be. We are, after all, each left to our own individual and accountable choices. And, perhaps, for some, the hope that we may one day see through the glass more clearly. Otherwise we are but left with the fatalistic words of the character "Priss" in the movie Blade Runner: "Then we're stupid and we'll die."

Yeah, and Germany was stable and peaceful under Hitler. Just giving bad people their way so they don't blow things up doesn't seem like a great solution either.

The fast idle cam can be adjusted too close to the throttle and affect the idle. It is also notable that there are two adjustments for the mechanism. First, the cable is drawn through and anchored, then the cam is rotated toward the throttle stop and tightened. I like to leave a little tolerance between in order to avoid fouling the idle. This limits the fast idle to about 1800 rpm. I often ride off and let the motor warm up gently. I treat it like a break in period on every start up keeping the revs below 5000 for 5-10 miles.

Yes,yes, the Isle of Mann, 24 Heure de LeMans, Gran Prix de Monaco and the Paris -Dakar. Oh, and the Baja 1000. Guess I better pick one and get started . . .

Matt's quoting himself . . . I thin k I ne e d A SINGLE MALT. I gotta get a ride in before it snows in Shigago.

Kind of makes you see the wisdom in the old 'pull your sump' camp. Is it the Manhole Boys that toast their bearings?

Mattress needs some buddies to stop in for a ride. Or maybe some single malt. Or maybe less single malt . . .
