  1. I have seen more Tyco failures in V11 than any other relay. Worth getting a full set (5) of High Current 5-pin relays and see if "problem solved." https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/picker-components/PC782-1C-12S-R-X/12352866
  2. What kind of relays are under the seat (especially in the last position #5)?
  3. Wrong place in Florida tonight could get you a Squid Tattoo . . . Such a Leonard Cohen vibe . . . . . . . so dark, mixed with too much real . . .
  4. The newest Moto Guzzi I can find on that Moto International/Seattle, Washington, USA, website is 2013 . . . Maybe our PNW members can help with the current status of this iconic Moto Guzzi dealer . . . Is it is, or is it ain't?
  5. If you come to Tennessee, those are the guys that will turn around to come back and help you jack up your blown out tire, jump off your dead battery, and give you water while they "keep the wolves away".
  6. These are OMRON G8HE 5-pin relays? Let's check that battery voltage and the connections beneath Fuses #1 an d #2 before going further (toward the Ignition Switch) . . .
  7. FWIW, I checked in with our friends in Tellico Plains, Tennessee, (location of the South'n SpineRaid) and all is well. Lots of rain from Helene, but no damage.
  8. Progress! What type/ make of battery is in the bike? Check your battery voltage with a voltmeter and post the voltage.
  9. Prying up the fuse block will let you inspect these hidden spade connectors to Fuse #1 and #2. Make certain they are clean and tight. The Caig Deoxit® @Pressureangle referenced is highly desirable for every connection you open and reseat.
  10. As weather reports go, say hello to Milton . . .
  11. Also, the recurring theme of electric vehicles bursting into flames in salt water inundation. Real stuff, for sure. https://www.hagerty.com/media/news/hurricane-helene-fires-salt-water-and-lithium-ion-batteries-still-dont-mix/?hashed_email=b4b94022c1bd45a1fa61becf3ab2e64665eaea4bd3297978c54e145dd672e019&dtm_em=b4b94022c1bd45a1fa61becf3ab2e64665eaea4bd3297978c54e145dd672e019
  12. I'm going to kick off the replies by saying this is exactly what makes our forum tick. There will be some experienced and expert replies coming along to make certain your LeMans is delightful and roadworthy, again, @Sporticus ! First, what kind of relays are under the seat, especially in the very back (Position 5)? This could come down to changing to the best High Current relays presently available . . . https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/picker-components/PC782-1C-12S-R-X/12352866
  13. Moto International in Seattle no longer exists.
  14. There is a big, red reminder on my V11 file that reads: * INSPECT FILTER GASKET ! A reminder that the old filter gasket can stick in the motor and compromise oil pressure. Always insure the old gasket came out with the filter you remove.
  15. "I want to apologize for this in advance" . . . (not exactly kumbaya) Ughughughhooo . . . .
  16. I am so appreciative of all of the players that have taken me in. I am just a hobbiest coming to music-making late in life. I don't know that the Bassman is a "powerful" amp at 45 watts. One of the rooms I play has me through a 300 watt stage amp. I can barely crack its volume with the gain way down. And there is another Ampeg "valve" amp that also can easily overpower the room. So, maybe the Bassman amp is just right, after all, and there is really nothing wrong with it . . .
  17. Sounds a lot like tuning a V11. My drummer-bud did tell me, early on, that "The worst thing about bands is they're made up of musicians" . . .
  18. Example of simple oil question: "Oil?" Example of simple answer: "Yep."
  19. I sourced this Shindy in 2009, fifteen years ago, from Moto International, Seattle. Unfortunately, the invoice only shows the vendor's stock number, no manufacturer's part number $140US In 2009 dollars . . .
  20. I'm happy with mySport's Shindy ("SHIN-juh"), but not sure if they are still available for the V11 (?)
  21. IIRC, this Fender Bassman is a second reissue. For sure, from the beginning, they were found to be good guitar amps in spite of the "Bassman" name. 99% of my playing is "living room volume" where it is great. It makes sense it would distort at higher volumes. And nobody wants a crunchy bass.
  22. Seems HyperPro has been a popular option for our V11:
  23. Yes, Fender American Professional J-bass. Interesting solution, changing the pre-amp tubes. I had just assumed the amp's previous owner had blown up the speakers. Any advice what pre-amp tubes to source for my application?
  24. The fan extended the life of the overheated Onkyo for about a month. Long enough to source a "period" replacement. It was pleasing that "blowing out the dust"of the replacement unit yielded no cloud! Keeping the fan on the replacement . . . On to considering replacing the four Italian-made Jensen 10" speakers in my "reissue" tube Fender Bassman . . . They are fine at "studio" volume, but break up driven at stage levels. What about Celestion replacements for my blues-oriented bass playing? Or just source fresh Jensens?
