Y'all-boys have shamed me into this. I could even hear my own voice saying, "Decent Tune-up " . . . [Real-time image, not a "reference" from the archive . . .] > Eighteen days out and I already know that Waddington hates me . . .

There are three springs in the mechanism. The one that commonly breaks has been redesigned, expertly, by @Chuck. Message @Scud to obtain one. Accept no substitutes!
-
If the Wheels Off Maintenance Checklist is to be believed, there are also brakes to service and wheel bearings to check.
-
If I do my math right, and I could get that last few hundred miles out of this tire, it would mean getting the last $25US from it. I'd give $25 right now to never worry about it again for the whole ride.

Well, I tried. Rode the Sport over 500 miles in April. That's pretty good for just going "around the block." Out of time if I expect any push-back on the Waddington Effect before heading for Dale Hollow Lake, and points beyond . . . Just two weeks, and a few days, now . . .

Coming down to the forced decision to take off a tire with 300 good miles left in it, or take a 300 mile tire on a 500 mile ride . . .

Keeping the Odyssey PC545 on a charger is fine as long as the voltage is high enough and the initial charge is performed to specifiction. Most "trickle chargers", including the seemingly ubiquitous "Battery Tender" brand, charge at around 13.10-13.15v. Odyssey is clear that their battery will be damaged with "float" charging below 13.2. The specified range is 13.5-13.8. AGM specific chargers should be configured for this, but I have had them fail to meet this specification. I always monitor with a voltmeter to be certain what the charger is actually doing. Odyssey (EnerSys) also states the battery cannot actually be charged with less than 6 amps . . .

Historical race bikes and Riders

Now, that is some frikkin' RIDING ! -
The seat is a different material. The chin pad and "bum stop" are a solid, molded rubber material.
-
After a year, my Shin Etsu treated original chin pad still never dried out, whitened, or greyed. I retreated it today, but could not see any significant change even after a year. This special grease has totally checked out for our early tank chin pads (and the seat cowl bum stop)!

I recall one of our members speaking of a fellow out west (US) that has broken down a lot of "EV" and has many parts. Sorry, I don't remember who. Somehow, "Mark" comes to mind . . .

Correct, the TPS is set/ "baselined" with a multimeter, not with guzzidiag.
-
Wouldn't that be great if it works? Seems like those cable housing threads are standardized?

Time to upgrade! Haven't you heard? Cup holders are all the rage . . .

In The States, most automobile insurance policies are six month terms, yet my (separate) motorcycle policy is annual. I suppose may be helpful if comparing costs per year between policies.

A fellow named David out of Alabama. He also had a Café Sport.

Nineteenth South'n Spine Raid 2023 Tennessee USA
docc replied to docc's topic in Meetings, Clubs & Events
@al_roethlisberger . . . I hear there is still a room left at The Lodge. Trailer your [highly modified] provenant 2002 LeMans. We can make a TechSession of it. "Show&Tell !" Give advice, take notes, trade parts . . . -
All SpineRaids have things in common. SpineRaids in the southern US? Maybe more things in common than not..... Second South'n SpineRaid, 2006, Sweetwater, Tennessee: Yep, that's @Bill Hagan. Yep, they're fly fishin'. Uh, yep, in the parking lot . . .
-
I love this concept, @Skip! How did you derive those dimensions and angles? Does the "half moon" cut-out index on the oil filter access cover or is it simply a relief cut for the access cover?
-
Reportedly, the V11 Sport/LeMans are especially prone to this phenomenon because of the gearing coupled to the first gear ratio of our 6speeder combined with the more aggressive frame geometry (relative to a Tonti-based "EV"). Perhaps even a little to do with the way we might "launch" relative to a typical EV rider? [edit: I find my post, above, rather "embellished." ] > Here is a post by @pete roper, His-Own-Self , on the matter relating to the 5speed gearboxes preceding the V11 Sport/LeMans 6speeder:

It would be telling to record the voltage progression of that charger using a quality voltmeter.... Primary charge should not exceed 15.0v and the "float" >13.2 . . .
