  1. I have no qualifications to post any kind of synopsis to such an extraordinary gathering of equally extraordinary people, but I always end up with a small selection of favorite images that reflect my feelings in absentia . . .
  2. I looked at Gustafsson Plastics, but only see the two V11 Sport windshield variants . . . https://bikescreen.com/products/moto-guzzi-v-11-sport-2001-2005
  3. I found a wrap or two of Teflon® tape (plumber's pipe thread tape) around the bleeder's thread necessary to bleed effectively and stop any weeping fluid from the bleeder.
  4. I am trying to find a way to restore @Trevini's images of his amazing work . . .
  5. Twelve weeks out, I have taken to calling this raduno the KSR (Kentucky SpineRaid). Still hoping to attend and help make sure @gstallons will come. Been "writing him notes" for years.
  6. Interesting observation. And astute, as usual, Chuck. I have various items and belongings I thought I had expertly improved in the past only to learn, too late, that I would have been better leaving them alone. And keeping their original boxes . . .
  7. Well, I don't run it through my Bassman tube amp, but through an AcoustiSonic that has a mic side and various effects. So, at least this Fender was made to carry a mic . . . You might enjoy our Tube Amp thread. Or, it might make your skin crawl . . .
  8. Well, primarily vocals, but some "Mississippi Saxophone " . . . * "blues harp" . . .
  9. Many thanks, again, to @p6x for sharing these finely embroidered patches ! It is even nicer in hand!
  10. Fair enough. I think the stunning art deco design of the Shure55 looks stunning with the lines of the V11 motor and tank. Otherwise, the mic stays on duty through one my Fender amps . . .
  11. The Shure55 is just posing (handsomely) with the V11's cylinder fins. Looks like the rubber isolators are "captured" in the bracket holes and stand the brackets off the side of the cooler that way.
  12. Well, yeah. These things probably cost a billion Lire back in the day. (A dollar and a half in today's money . . . )
  13. Yep, must use the 1999-2001 Parts Catalog. No screen was fitted after the early Sports. The most specific image I could find, also the most blurry . . .
  14. The screen stands off the surface of the oil cooler. Exploded views are in the Parts Catalog . . . page 76, "Code 34.43." Sorry, I'm not finding any images of the mounting. Another view with the mounting horning in like your crazy uncle doing a photo crash . . .
  15. Seems this warty part only gets in the view when there is a picture of "something else" . . .
  16. Early mounting brackets were alloy and cracked. There were steel warranty replacement suppplied. (I'm looking for a better pic, but here is a start) . . . Note the rubber isolation dampers:
  17. Stand by for a post split to put the oil cooler grill mounting on its own thread...
  18. Yeah. So. "Diesel" for short . . .
  19. Yep, the deeper you dig, the more you find that a V11 Sport is not just an "EV" in a party dress . . .
  20. These are used for the coils and also the ECU. Typically a careful adhesive selection and proper surface preparation will take care of them. Until it doesn't anymore. Be mindful when tightening or releasing fasteners into isolation blocks as this could be their demise. With the correct dimensions on hand, consider McMaster-Carr for replacements.
  21. Those "California" brakes are not "linked?" As such, the front master would only be applied to one front caliper . . .
  22. Moto Guzzi has supplied models for the Italian Presidential Guard (Regimento Corazzieri Carabinieri ). In fact, part of Ing. Carcano's original V7 design statement suggested, "It should have the stature of a Norman horse " for this purpose. There is a Guardia d'onore V85TT offered to replace the aging, but stately, 1400. Will they wait for a V100 Corazzieri Especiale ? Yet, it seems the carabinieri, at large, have their own ideas . . .
  23. I don't know if this is any help, but I found this image:
