Unknown. I thought the Workshop Manual had a part number of its own, but I'm not seeing it. Maybe from an eBay seller or a member here has an extra?

Workshop Manual: https://www.thisoldtractor.com/mg_manuals/workshop_manual_v11_en.pdf Parts catalog: https://www.parts-motoguzzi.com/moto-guzzi-motorcycles/1100-MOTO-GUZZI-MOTORCYCLES/V11/2000/V-11-Sport--Mandello/1004 @activpop, be certain to use the Parts Catalog for V11 1999-2001 Sport/Rosso Mandello. I have found it very useful to buy a hard copy from an ebay seller as an adjunct to the online parts sources.

Also Ohio, Oklahoma,Texas, Florida, Georgia, and points beyond . . . (New Jersey, even!) Just back from vacationing in that area. The motorcycling roads are stellar!

WOT? No more red suspenders? -
Lambda probe in the exhaust, @VeeEleven?

When ordering from a US dealer, certainly give a phone call to confirm inventory/availability: MGCycle/WI, HarperMoto/MO, AF1 Racing/TX, Cadre cycle/ OH. Also consider TLM/The Netherlands, Stein-Dinse/Germany, and Agostini/ Mandello, Italy

Looks to be the 4041st V11 built for model year 2003 (with a KR designation). On the opposite side of the frame there is a metal tag that is inscribed with your V11's actual month-year build date. You'll have to push wiring etc out of the way to read it. Probably helps if the "bars"/fork is turn to the farthest right lock.

And the RedFrame "Greenie" has tenth VIN as "1" while the "Carryover" Sport with black frame is tenth digit "3?"
-
Thank you, gentleman. Such kind words. I'm fond of saying I am more of a custodian than a "moderator." Just keeping things tidied up and uncluttered as best as I may. I do recall my older brother once telling me (I have no idea if this has any basis in fact) that Merlin, of King Arthur fame, was not a "wizard' at all, but was possessed of a good memory and used it to effect solutions for others throughout his life. So, yeah, I try to remember where others have advised us, often expertly, throughout our forum's history and guide others to, or gather and present, the archival content. In that light, "moderator" seems a bit stifling and "custodian" perhaps a bit underpaid. "Wizard DeLuxe " has a nice ring to it . . .

I can find a reference for this, but the heater hose was thoroughly investigated and is not chemically compatible with the application. Definitely go with the Guzzi part.
-
@gstallons, could you confirm the frame colors and the VIN you posted are correct. Seems to me your 2001 is a Short/RedFrame and your 2003 is the lime-tank black/LongFrame Carryover sport? [also: I split a few posts regarding the "carryover" models to that thread, focusing here, specifically on the KS versus KR meaning.]
-
So far, we can say that the "Carryover Sport" was built from late 2001 (likely the earliest of the LongFrame before the first V11 Lemans) through 2003 (perhaps all through 2003?) in the 2002 V11 configuration. 1) If you have this "Carryover" configuration, regardless of the year in the VIN, order parts for a 2002 V11. 2) Still looking for evidence of a 2003 (VIN) V11 Sport in the later (last) V11 configuration seen as 2004 features. Anyone?

Is there anything here:
-
So far, whether 1999-2003, short frame or long, or Sport/LeMans/special edition, the only KS reported to me is in The Netherlands. Could "KS" be Lambda probed V11?
-
So, KS certainly doesn't designate LongFrame as there are two LongFrame KR, right there. (Plus, 114957 looks like quite a lot of 2003s made as of March 2003!)
-
Please confirm your V11: Z (Italy) GU (Guzzi) "KR" = 1999-2001 Short Frame, both RedFrames and Roso Mandello (Short/black frame)? ZGU "KS" = LongFrame ?
-
I am not at all sure how the software chooses what image to display from a "shared" topic, but sometimes it isn't entirely a bad thing . . .
-
It looks like it. The affected range appears to be the last 1399 of the 2000 KR Sport and all of the 2001 KR Sport (1M111111 to 1M114639). Plus "whatever" the KS models represent (?) KS = "LongFrame?

Definitely those bolts could offer up a gearoil drip at the rear. Oil leak where @LaGrasta found his at the motor-gearbox junction would "most likely" be motor oil, although there are two gearoil leak sources in that space, as well. Some of those motor-gearbox interface leaks can destroy a clutch, so worth investigating/sorting.

Simple things can often slip by us. Makes me think that our US winter is a good time for:
-
Someone should be able to clarify the KR/KS difference. Also, who has a sequence number beginning M211xxx ?
-
Ah, yes, finding oil between the engine and gearbox has numerous sources, some easy and others not so. Start with the nefarious crankcase vent tube and its connection at the top of that junction. My odyssey and the leak sources detailed:
-
I'm thinking with the Shift Extender, we will not get the "right angles" but should strive that both the "arms" (the extender and the shift arm on the gearbox) are parallel. Yours look good! Give us a ride report when the temps allow!
