  1. I can only imagine what would have happened if she posted in the hooters thread
  2. It helps with wheelies Note the LeMans is not as aft biased as your sport with 53:47 ratio.
  3. Thanks for the reply A few months ago, I was standing at the desk in police station to pick up some personal belongings and it was amusing to hear how candid the officers were about various issues. One of them changed the topic on use of force when they noticed me at the desk They were discussing a domestic dispute, they had not said anything self-incriminating, just a little machismo statement like, "If you mess with the bull, you get the horns" type of thing. It must be difficult to stay pollitically correct in that environment.
  4. Thanks! I have a few older meters that are kind of half working, maybe I'll give them a try(if I did not leave corroding batteries inside of them ), just to see the variations.
  5. The funniest responses she got were at porn forum. Forum members, obviously guys, flirted with her instantly whipping out their banana emoticons http://www.born4porn.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=800 I imagine once they figure out they been had they'll yank the post and the link above will die.
  6. I think Jaap's day job is the same as Ms. Beden's, professional spammer. How else could he fund this website with all us cheapskates here?
  7. OOooops, forgot I am married Looks like she may be a professional Troll ...must be part of a sinister spamming plot to mark territory If you google her name it appears in many forums....most are deleted, but you can view them in the google cache. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&saf...amp;btnG=Search
  8. I sent her a PM suggesting posting somewhere like member introduction and then I deleted her Wanted topic. It could be a spammer testing the location for effectiveness, or it could be a fascinating women But I never heard of a last name, Bedden. Maybe a sexual invitation...
  9. Not bored, but this emoticon expresses it Would an analog voltmeter tend to have lower impedance? Would the voltage of the batteries in the volt meter give a clue to the impedance?
  10. No, you must have mis-read what I wrote. Cliff's ECU was the one ECU that did not exhibit the draining symptoms, simply because he does not even use the wire through which the draining occurred. His ECU only gets power when the key is on. If you install Cliff's ECU you can throw away the ECU fuse, this is why it would cure my problem. It could still be I have two bad Marelli ECUs. The second ECU I got as a backup from someone who went to a Ti ECU. I have no reason to believe they had modified it. I know I only modified my original ECU. I wish Wayne would release the TuneBoy diagnostic....I think I'll go pester him.
  11. That makes sense. I thought about the possibility of there being some fuzzy logic feedback training, but that would only make sense if there was an O2 sensor. My bike has no O2 sensor, but I think the 15M has the capability built in, and so Guzzi probably just wired it that way. I suppose I could disconnect the ECU fuse, turn the ignition on, connect the fuse and then try to start the bike. Worst thing that could happen is a fried ECU but unlikely. I'll have to think about that diode thing and how to wire it all. It might also be a good time to do the Guzzi Transil Diode modification http://paaat.guzz.free.fr/diode_transil/english.html
  12. Thanks, I should know that But I still don't quite grasp the difference between impedance and resistance. Capacitors and Inductors also perplex me. In my ECU leak problem the 10V reading with 70milliamps perplexed me (I thought 10V was higher than what I expected for that low of a current) but the impedance of the meter explains it. This also explains why I can't calculate the wattage running in series through both filaments in an H4 lamp. In any case, the voltmeter test may help him check which positive lead might be the culprit, but determining if it is the battery or a leak would require charging the battery, disconnecting and seeing if it drops below 12V/
  13. http://www.thisoldtractor.com/guzzi007/sch...9_V11_sport.gif I wish I could find a schematic of the ECU....I have searched the internet for hours looking. If you read back through this thread, you can see I went through much trying to find the leak. It really does seem to be inside the ECU. But I tested two ECUs....actually three, but the third was a Cliff Jeffrie's MY15 and it did not have the problem. If you feel like reading this entire thread you can feel some of my pain, and maybe have an insight. Cliff's ECU is certainly a solution, but I have invested TuneBoy into my ECU. I suspected TuneBoy could have damaged the ECU, but my second ECU has the same problem.
  14. When I suggested pulling the fuses AND the relays, pulling the relays was unnecessary if the fuses were pulled. According to the wiring diagram, removing the fuses should cut off just about everything. The only place for a leak is the Starter, and the wires leading from the battery to the starter, and the wires leading from the battery to the fuse block. If you don't have an ammeter, and can't follow Ryland's excellent instructions, do a voltage test between the battery positve and all the positive leads that connect to it. 1 Keep the fuses pulled. 2 Disconnect the negative Wires from the battery. 3 Disconnect the positive wires from the battery. 4 Reconnect the negative wires from the battery. 5 Check the voltage between each of those positive wires and the battery positive. (now I am betting on the starter line ) If you have zero volts, you probably have a bad battery. If you have more than a volt, you have a leak along that wire, or the starter solenoid at the end of that wire's path, or somebody did something funky with your wiring. Once determined, either remove the battery by disconnecting the ground or recharge the battery, and reconnect with the following steps. 6 Disconnect the negative Wires from the battery. 7 Reconnect the positive wires from the battery. 8 Reconnect the negative Wires from the battery.
  15. Yah, it could be I have two bad ECUs. I am at 70milliamps across the fuse last time I checked. The electrical ciruits are a little different between my 2000 and your 2004. I wonder if I include the disconnect switch into the relay circuitry, would the timing of electric current be an issue? My guess is that it needs the voltage at the ECU before the ECU and FI relays are flipped on, but maybe not.
  16. That would not be very nice. Vindictive over a POSSIBLE Freudian slip and partisan differences How about if we come begging, THE GIFTED, we need you! All I know is I never would have completed a wiring diagram on headlight relays, nor a wiring harnass, nor managed to fix other problems without the help of the gifted on this forum. There is probably nobody gifted enough to fix the ECU drainage problem....(that is a challenge to both gifted and ignorant )
  17. I understood it as tongue in cheek but find far less than funny. I am not sure I would have the courage to disarm that loose nut. As for moral integrity, I would be a hypocrite to enforce many laws, especially speeding. I am sure it takes someone going well over the speed limit to get you to pull them over, unless your supervisor is making you meet a quota at the speed trap. But maybe that is small price to pay for the pride of putting the real bad guys behind bars. Also, I suppose part of integrity is seperating the dumb laws from the good laws, even if it is not your job...
  18. One of the reasons police lack credibility to jurors.... http://www.wowt.com/news/headlines/1899562.html The New Orleans Police Department probably has the worst reputation in the USA....assuming you consider brutality and corruption a bad thing for a reputation. I know I would not cut it as a Law Enforcement Officer. At best, I'd be ostracized as a Serpico.
  19. I guess I will just put a switch in. I am tiired of pulling the fuse.
  20. 12.65V is not bad, a little over 80% charged. So with an ECU fuse socket difference of 7.88V, you apparently have a slow leak. I have a voltage difference of nearly 10V. Ryland was talking about getting a battery disconnect. I think if one just put a switch for that fuse the discharge problems would vanish for people with healthy batteries. I have been pulling my fuse if I am sitting more than two days, but a switch would be more convenient. The thread I posted about the leak is here: http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?...amp;hl=ecu+fuse Apparently some have the leak and some don't If someone could find out why, that would be appreciated!!! Any truly gifted out there????
  21. OK time is up for the gifted to answer, maybe I am the gifted. According to Gary and Ratchet I am often wrong, but here is my gifted answer: Dropping from 13.8 to 13.36 after the engine is running or the battery was just charged is normal. But if it went from 12.80 to 12.36V you have got a leak. If that was the case, the simple slow approach would be to pull the fuses and relays and see if that helps. If it helps, put the relays back in, and wait, if OK start putting the fuse back in. I bet that you will see a leak through either the ECU or Charger fuse. You can diagnose the path of leak more quickly with a voltmeter....but I am not gonna bother explaining that unless you are below 12.8V
  22. We are waiting...
  23. I'll try to leave more spam for you to take your rage out on. A few weeks ago I was riding with some buddies and two of them moved into the fast lane to do a slow pass. Given the consistency of our pace, the pass could have been made faster. A car (fancy mitsubishi lancer or similar) that was apparently trying to keep up with our pace, zoomed up behind them about 5 seconds after they had moved to the passing lane and dangerously put the brakes on close to their tails, and then when given the opportunity to pass, got ahead of them and then slammed on the brakes in homicidal fashion. We all stayed way clear of the nut. In a later discussion it was suggested to out run the car. While I think that is possible to out run a Mitsubishi Lancer, it is not my strategy of choice as you don't know what they have under the hood or how desperate they are to keep up with you. And they can certainly take you out if they don't mind marring their bumper/spoiler. I just drop back and let them flip their birds, wave their fists, and move on. Sometimes that is not enough, and they endanger you by weaving back and forth slamming their brakes on bringing high speed traffic to a near halt, with you only hoping the traffic coming up behind you does not hit you as you are focused ahead on dodging the maniac. As a matter of survival, I have to be better at avoiding conflict on the road than I am at avoiding conflict on this forum Keep it safe, Alex! You spared us the details, but from what you said, his threats were dog piss at your feet, and it won't be a dog fight unless you want it to be.
  24. I can delete the Wanted, but not The Gifted. Didn't God create the Moto Guzzi to keep the truly Gifted too preoccupied to rule the world?
  25. Trippy camera work! http://www.motoguzzi.it/video/video-1200sport.asp?lin=ita ...but I did not get any sound
