Part of the ECU is isolated from the battery by relay when the ignition is off, but there is a direct line between the battery and the ECU. Pulling the number one fuse (5A) before removing battery or charging is a good idea.

Check out this amazing thread. http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?...&hl=545 ...but the short answer is Hawker Odyssey PC545

Where is the Podium....

Maybe it is a picture of the Global Powers IT, Romano Geppetto Prodi, guy working on the lie detector of the world's most powerful puppet and here is a video of George W. Pinocchio -
Oregon's considering mileage tracking is also kinda disturbing. http://www.opinionjournal.com/columnists/b...r/?id=110006669 I posted about this before and the one response on this forum was that it was a good idea I would however agree that someday it will be unfair when half the drivers are driving electrical cars and paying little or no road tax and the burden falls on the infernal combustion engine users. But adding GPSs to cars just to level the taxing per mile vs. hybrids is ridiculous. The burden on the road, on society, and on the environment can never be taxed perfectly fairly. Maybe motorcycles should be taxed more because of the cost of scraping us off the roads A gas tax is generally fair enough. Heavier and more powerful vehicles chew the road up more and hog more of the space. Using more fuel increases AGW and forces a dependence between nations that has resulted in many deaths, tragedy and lost dollars. Big Brother watching us with GPSs is a bad idea. The criminal element will surely find a way around it and honest citizen will pay the price. Stolen license plates are the best way to deal with speed trap cameras. I want one of them Jame Bond type flipping license plates I guess that puts me into the criminal element category...

Oh, and now there is atleast one more video to watch: http://socal-guzzi.com/PHPBB/viewtopic.php?t=636

Huh?!? Not sure what you mean, but I love the video and the new website!

If for whatever reason you do let them test ride, ask to see their driver's license, even if they are your hot sister-in-law and set a limitation on time and or miles of test ride. You don't want them saying, "he never said I could not test ride for two weeks"

I did my wiring upgrade with the tank in place. I also want to try the Phillips +50% bulb. They are a little harder to find in the US. The Sylvania SilverStar is about the closest thing readilly available, but it is bluer. While the Osram SilverStar is as white and bright as the Philips, but even harder to find in the US. I have seen a couple places on the web that have both the Philips and the Osram, and hope to pick one up and do another before and after shot.

It would make sense that with spacers you could fit the smaller lamp between the V11S brackets, but Cat needs the Ducati lamp(or whatever will fit) mounted between the presumably tighter Scura brackets. Is there any aftermarket/parallel-market match for the scura lamp? Are any of the Ducati or BMW lamps seven inch? Maybe Cat's best bet is a Japanese cycle salvage.

Atleast we don't get hurricanes. But I hope I never find out what it is like to be motorbikin' twisties durring an Earthquake

Are you calling Santa retarded? Santa buying you that watch was pretty dumb, though. But I guess he gets a high volume discount. Of course you could pawn it and end world hunger, or put the money into Gootsie Goodies

Yah, Helicopter Jim, are you gonna make it? We'll forgive you if you trailer your bikes to the rally, especially if you bring the MGS01

Wanna do a track day in SoCal at the 2008 US National Rally?
dlaing replied to wsholar's topic in Meetings, Clubs & Events
Thanks Rich! In that case, I vote for the track day being the Tuesday or Thursday Would you be willing to do an hour or two of track instruction? That would be an incentive for me to sign up for the track. Anyone else want to teach? I imagine Wallace could give a pretty good class as well as Dr. Know and a few others with significant track experience. I really need to learn how to get the bike to lean and turn so I don't get killed by my incompetance in an unexpected decreasing radius. -
If he posts in Classifieds I am gonna spaminat'im!

Great Idea! I voted for option one, but it would be conditional on Todd Eagan or one of them other class A riders being available as an instructor. It might be nice if the Track Day fell on one of the less busy rally days. Fridays, people show and not much happens other than alcohol consumption, Saturdays are usually the only fun day of a rally, and Sundays end up being pretty boring with everyone packing up and leaving. If the Track Day could be on the Friday or Sunday I would be more likely to participate. Of course this might mean taking an extra day off of work. But I would not want to miss out on exploring the roads North of LA on Saturday or doing other fine things like sociallizing, doing dyno runs if L&L is there and test riding Grisos and other fine machines. Maybe L&L could make it to the trackday??????? -
Can you tell from the visual information in this photo if the Walmart SuperTech might resist mushrooming better? It seems to me the gasket is embedded in nice channel. Click here or on image for larger image, plus invites for penis enlargements and girls just dying to meet you I have to use a better image posting site.

You might drop RacerX a Private Message. Whatever he did to make that 7 inch lamp work for his Jackal, would probably work for you. Or you could post the question at Guzzitech.com's forum http://guzzitech.com/PHPBB2/

#1 in cricket????#1 for not growing up and for failing in its attempts to be a responsible adult and for being emotionally retarded....#1 for crap beer ...#1 for helping keep the globe warm ...but it is also the #1 alpha male And that all that matters! But good to see the the hearty Guzzi riders of Illinois keeping their bikes out of storage past Christmas. The truly enlightened, emotionally developed and maturally responsible Guzzi riders of America move south for the Winter. (Watch after I say that, Southern California will get forty days of rain )

A is True, B, I don't know....somebody must..What exactly do you need to replace? The shell, aka the bucket? The reflector? The Lens, aka the glass in front of the reflector? The whole unit?
-
Thanks Greg So if one wanted to do one of these 7inch HID lights that RacerX put on his Jackal, a Scura bucket would do the trick. Would the Scura Bucket fit the brackets that hold on the V11S bucket? I really don't have money for this, but it would be nice to know if they are interchangeable. If I went with HID, I might go with as big a bucket as I could find to hide the HID's coil and igniter.

My tank has either gotten longer or my frame has gotten shorter Maybe the tank suck is a feature (that has been missing since I vented the seal) On the bright side, maybe the capacity has increased But no warping, as far as I can tell. It is just difficult to get the tank past the front of the rear fairing. and it was not always like that.

So, for those too lazy to click over to So-Cal Guzzi forum, New Years day was a blast. And it has been determined that there is no conflict for the second Saturday ride. We will ride Saturday, meeting at Bill Ross' house and we will ride Sunday meeting at GP motorcycles. No problem!!! (now how do I let my wife know about my plans for that weekend?)

I think the 2002 Scura has a bigger than 7" Bosch unit.
