  1. ...or how about the Belfast Agreement? Or would you say the Belfast Agreement was a mistake because it made concessions to TERRORISTS? And how about this October's St Andrews agreement? I suppose you right wingers hate the idea of peace at the expense of concessions. Maybe Blair should have used smart bombs and MOABs on Belfast?
  2. Should I take it on point by point...that could take a while. Your insults do not demand answering, you don't answer my questions and you certainly don't admit when you are wrong and I have better things to do.... When Ronald Reagan's men negotiated for a delayed release of hostages in the October surprise...
  3. Motorcycle Emptiness??? Is that when your tank of fuel is too low?
  4. Chris Spedding's, "Motorbiking" Not sure if these lyrics are complete...I only vaguely remember the martha and the muffins' version Original Lyrics: Moving on the Queen's highway Looking like a streak of lightning And if you've gotta Go-go gotta go motorbike riding. and another favorite Lou Reed New Sensations I dont like guilt be it stoned or stupid Drunk and disorderly I aint no cupid Two years ago today I was arrested on christmas eve I dont want pain, I want to walk not be carried I dont want to give it up, I want to stay married I aint no dog tied to a parked car Ooohhh, new sensations Ooohhh, new sensations Talkin bout some new sensations Talkin bout some new sensations I want the principles of a timeless muse I want to eradicate my negative views And get rid of those people who are always on a down Its easy enough to tell what is wrong But thats not what I want to hear all night long Some people are like human toulinols Ooohhh, new sensations Ooohhh, ooohhh, new sensations Talkin bout some new sensations Talkin a new sensations I took my gpz out for a ride The engine felt good between my thighs The air felt cool, its was forty degrees outside I rode to pennsylvania near the delaware gap Sometimes I got lost and had to check the map I stopped at a roadside diner for a burger and a coke There were some country folk and some hunters inside Somebody got themselves married and somebody died I went to the juke box and played a hillbilly song They was arguing about football as I waved and went outside And I headed for the mountains feeling warm inside I love that gpz so much, you know that I could kiss her Ooohhh, new sensations Ooohhh, ooohhh, new sensations Talkin bout your new sensations Talkin new sensations Ooohhh, new sensations Ooohhh, new sensations Ooohhh, new sensations Ooohhh, new sensations Ooohhh, new sensations ...
  5. Thanks for the clarification, that is all I wanted. Glad I didn't bump your blood pressure. I wasn't suggesting YOU were right wing....just everyone else I seem to argue with here, when it has nothing to do with Guzzis. Of course some of them are in denial of being right wing. Supporting clubbing seals is about the only right wing trait I have seen from you. I'd love to get you ranting about America's resident president.
  6. I would also wish people would keep their potentially contreversial views out of the sacred technical forum...of course I am not completely innocent there, myself. Back on topic:
  7. Fire in the hole!!!! Point one: In the interest of constructive criticism, you said "1.) The plate is designed to address one problem and one only. That is to inhibit, not prevent, the rearward movement of oil under hard acceleration. All it has to do is prevent pick-up exposure, nothing more nothing less. It has added benefits in that because the static level of the oil is below the plate it helps prevent windage by the cyclonic forces associated with..." In my opinion you designed it to address two problems, but of course, the sloppage was the primary problem and the windage less of a problem. If sloppage was the only problem being addressed by design, than you could have trimmed much less tightly in the center, especially in the vicinity of the spinning crank. Point two: When you said, "If you can't get your head around the thought that it's possible for a fat, middle aged bloke in a tin shed in a small outback town in Australia to come up with a better idea than a teutonic solution to a completely separate set problems on a *similar* motor 25 years ago being used for completely different purposes in a different motorcycle then obviously I'll never convince you. If though you read this and think about it you may find it makes sense." it sounded to me like you invented putting windage plates on Guzzis. Is this true or am I reading too much into you coming"...up with a better idea"? Apologies in advance as I am not here to make enemies, although I seem to have a knack for it in a world of right wingers, where I define most Demorats as right wing. I just believe in pursuing the truth. I hope you understand. FWIW Despite my criticism, I think most of us would agree that your experience and ability and effort make for the most valuable posts (save your politics on seals) on any Guzzi forum. Thank You.
  8. As I was reading the portion of the transcript of the Judge's words, I wondered what inspired him to say what he did. A quick google and I found the CNN excerpt, which was much more revealing, a more complete quote....you know, balanced journalism...I think the balanced journalism is more interesting and revealing. To stop terrorism it is helpful to understand the motivation of the terrorist. Do you want to give them more motivation and draw them out and make them breed their hate and multiply, the way the Bushies have done? Or do you want to use your brain, and do what is necessary to make peace? Or do want armageddon and Christian victory? Or??? Please do advise. If it is so serious that you find the need to insult those whom you disagree with about important matters, why don't you lay it all on the line and explain how you would shape the world? So far all we know is you would make the rich richer, reduce polution controls, get rid of Bush and replace with????Mussolini????
  9. Who are "these accused"? In the interest of "homeland defense", there are many innocent who are being held without trial and possibly tortured. Richard Reid had no chance as he was unquestionably guilty. The only purpose of the trial was due process.
  10. Thanks, I'll abstain from voting.
  11. Just before sentencing ...and then the Judge handed down the sentence that DOCC posted followed by I'll bet a different excerpt of the text is circulating Islamic email. Bloody relativists!
  12. Thank You...

    Wow!

Better to be named after a refrigerator than a tax form
  14. But not as much as people who have lost someone close in war, and probably not as much as those who believe in a war's cause. But regardless of a war's cause, I have to great respect for anyone* who has put their life on the line for their country. *except the vast minority that abuse their power. Don't bait me and I won't get hooked. (FWIW I am not the one that started politicizing the topic. I felt baited by Ratchet post#2 and Nogbad post #3 and BarNapkin post #19 I could not resist) And don't forget, it was Veterans Day, and a salute to all veterans, not just those who gave themselves to war and to combat.
  15. Let me explain, when you said, "Global warming has always been with us, and like global cooling, it will always be with us. Releasing thousands of millions of years of biologically stored solar energy in a geological instant? Priceless. For everything else there is Moto Guzzi........................ Nog, make that a category and I will vote." I followed with "All while our fine soldiers die for oil profits..." Because moving away from petroleum simultaneously helps two problems, one, the middle east and soldiers dying for oil profits and two, global warming. Meanwhile your fine non sequitar is exhibited by you trying to link 100 foot rises in water level with AGW. Fascinating! Really! But non sequitar.
  16. Don't be such a jerk. Just because you can't read well...
  17. Good, I saw it as what you said literally, that I was making an affront to good soldiers. That is bullocks! I am not the one that brought up the topic of berating soldiers, and I don't like blanket statements that absolve evil doers. Out of respect for the threads initial purpose, I pulled the embedded graphic and left the link to the graphic.
  18. All while our fine soldiers die for oil profits...
  19. Just to be clear, which post, 15 where I toast gay soldiers, or post 21 where I roast commiters of attrocities? Assuming you mean post 21 as it affronts Bush, I'll pull it if Barnapkin retracts their statement, "Regardless of your politics, no soldier should be berated for doing his duty." I mean no affront to 99.999% of service men and women. How dare you accuse me of such a thing! Why do you see it as an affront? Are we even speaking the same language?!?!?!?! Am I adding more insult as I remind you what many of our nation's veterans fought against in WWII http://www.theforbiddenknowledge.com/hardtruth/execute. jpg LEST WE FORGET );
  20. There are exceptions that need berating.... http://www.seedsofdoubt.com/distressedamer...cs/Abu%20Ghraib. gif
  21. And some of the choices reflect GW in general and not the thread on GW. Where are the other poll choices? A ) Too many pictures, opinions and not enough facts, therefore I don't give a f*ck B ) It's propaganda cack perpetrated by right wing extremists C ) I loved the thread! It was very fun and educational
  22. In the US, the VA and the military define it with a minimum time spent (something like a year or two) and not with a dishonerable discharge. So, just because you made it through bootcamp, and served our country for many months, you are not given the legal title of veteran. But if you made it through bootcamp, or got dishonerably discharged because you are gay or conscienciously object to the dumbass in charge, cheers! this holiday is for you, too!
  23. Atleast you won't go broke buying everyone with a purple heart a drink Cheers to all who served
  24. I am dead after 400miles and I was born after the Fifties. I think I need more excersise or time riding
  25. Also because you are taking a big portion of load off the flasher and all its wiring, and you are taking a big portion of load off of SOME, but not all, of the horn wiring.
