So how does the fuel on the right side of the hump get used?
-
If it could stop the evaporation, it might prevent global cooling, but it does not stop the evaporation. It simply contains it, preventing oh maybe a quart every four years from evaporating. You will evaporate far more fuel when you remove the tank, change the fuel filter, and gas up at the gas stations. Production of the cannisters probably causes more polution than the cannisters prevent. That being said, having the cannister on, may save you a buck per year on fuel as it gets pulled into the engine and burned rather than evaporating into the atomosphere. If you want a greener bike tuning the fueling and ignition mapping is the way to go! (or convert to ethanol or bio-diesel)

As Ratchet and 323 suggest, it is pretty simple. Fewer leak points. My idea of a second petcock will require an additional hose and a tee. Your idea, you get to keep the warning light. My idea uses up the sensor's access port. Your reserve would simply require tipping the bike to the left to get the remainder out. My idea you use the petcock's reserve which requires less strength than tipping the bike. Your idea may increase the risk of vapor lock and that risk will increase ever more greatly as the fuel level drops. My idea won't increase the risk until the petcock reserve is flipped, but then it will probably be greater of a risk than your method. I can't believe guzzi 323 has been hiding this accomplished idea for so long

Interesting! The last few quarts being inaccessible may be a vapor lock risk reduction feature My bike has not had vapor lock...yet. So, I may risk it....but I will set the return side to reserve.

Hmmmm, you and Nogbad got me thinking about my oil consumption. I try to keep it topped up to the top of the mark, but I get plenty of oil in my airbox and high consumption. I kind of suspect the oil level but thought 95% full would be fine. I suspect I should top it a little lower, like 3/4 full, and then maybe the consumption will drop.

I thought he was nuts to run it that loud, but in this video http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-1...6969331&q=Guzzi he says he is working on baffles for it :

PS, I'll bet that individual tuning really helped what the dyno does not show!
-
Not bad! Much better than my results above 6000RPM I'll bet with the Cat in the muffler, ours would look more similar. Mine in Blue Someone elses stock bike in Red Despite the reduction in power, I miss it.

Yum Looks even better than the earlier models that Greg posted.

We heard you jonesing for that Harley a long time ago. You probably just need a street bob, a buell, AND your Guzzi!

Same year as my bike http://vespa-club-des-savoie.chez-alice.fr...lend/2000_a.jpg ...think she'll be woo'd by how much we have in common?!?

That link was probably what led me to the test, here are my results: moxie From Wiktionary mŏk'sē, /ʼmɒksi/, /mQksi/ Noun moxie (uncountable) 1. backbone, determination and fortitude 2. initiative or skill Nog, I think it is time you admit you are an absolutist and you NEED an FJ1300

Or which end...

http://www.950supermoto.com/ And just to be sure it matches your personality, take this test http://www.okcupid.com/tests/take?testid=1...870837436152068 but use a fake but real email address or they may spam you to death... FWIW I tested positive for Guzzi
-
Speaking of missing it...Don't forget to let us know when you get the Mike Rich modifications installed and running and dyno'd It will become a Guzzitech article, right?!?! FWIW I'll bet you could run 3 to 5 degrees off everywhere in your map after all the mods you have done

He never picked up on Clinton's hints to use Altoids

Beautiful bike! Are those Staintune mufflers? What are the other goodies?

I think so. Here is how I theorize it (completely unproven) More mass makes the bars shake less, ie. reduce the amplitude of the vibration, but I believe more mass will "hit" your hand with more momentum. You are probably already putting 10 or 20 lbs of pressure on the bars with your own weight. Your own weigh will reduce the amplitude alot, but if the bars are heavy the bar's vibration will control you rather than you control the bars vibration. People who do NOT put weight on the bars(cruisers) will benefit more from the weight reducing the amplitude of the vibration. People who do put weight on the bar(sporters) reduce the vibration through their bodies weight, and will benefit from less weight reducing the impetus of mass impacting your hands. Theoretically...

Dr. Frederick Frankenstein : You know, I'm a rather brilliant surgeon. Perhaps I can help you with that hump. Igor : What hump? Al Gore : Dr. Fronkenstein, I congratulate you on the use of Lightning power to help reduce Anthropogenic Global Warming. Igor : What Anthrogenic Global Warming? Al Gore :

http://socal-guzzi.com/PHPBB/viewtopic.php...der=asc&start=0 It does not look good...

That is scary. I would be very careful warming them up. Perhaps they need to run a pound or two softer. Do new tires need less pressure than worn tires??? But fear not, Summer is coming. Otherwise, I might speculate you need to switch to the Diablo Strada. Still be careful with the tire as you may have gotten a lemon. I know the one Conti Force I tried was a lemon, because other people raved about them and the one I tried would start signs of speed wobble at 80MPH. So, lemons do exist.

You mean 3 photo shots of Mollie, the Guzzi Girl at Cycle Garden, right? http://www.cyclegarden.com/cgi-local/Guzzi...ct=Mollie_Green

I guess some of it is rider...Professional rider on closed track, do not try at home, etc.

Merci! Nicely wearing... So, I guess that is the standard Diablo, not the Diablo Corsa, nor the Diablo Strada.
