  1. France will certainly blame the US for this loss. BTW - nice overtime head butt!
  2. Here's what Rich did with my saddle.
  3. Williamsville risers bolt right on in about 10 minutes - no mods at all.
  4. Have you test ridden the Griso?
  5. Neat bike! Best of luck with it. If you want to stay on this forum however, you better post some hooters real soon! (On a Duck of course)
  6. Badmotogoozer that is funny.
  7. So he does four years for making booze but if he blows himself up along with 40 women and children he gets 72 virgins and martyrdom??????
  8. Good move! I test rode an 1100 Breva AND a Griso at Americade. The Grizo is definitely the bike to own (but my stable is full and my bank account ain't).
  9. Hi John - attached are photos. The Williamsville risers bolt right on in 5-10 minutes with no new fluid lines needed. The Buell mirrors do likewise - they are made by the same company that supplies Guzzi so you can leave the base plate attached to the fairing and just bolt on the mirror(and they are only about $45 for the pair!).
  10. Congrats on the bike - I think you''ll love it. At 5'11" I have the following ergo mods: Maund seat Evoluzione peg lowering Rubber tubing on the footpegs MRA windshield (higher than stock) gel grips Buell mirrors (no more looking at my arms) Williamsville bar risers This set up works well for me (but I don't care to do 500+ mile days anymore).
  11. Just remember to keep the openings that you're wiping in the correct order.
  12. At 66, I totally empathize with you. My Rosso seems to get more uncomfortable each year. My distance riding is now an R1150RT but at one point I even considered a side car rig. Maybe a Norge or the smaller Breva would be a good alternative. At any rate, best of luck with whatever you choose and don't leave this board. Ralph
  13. Come on - that's nothing but a giant BOOB
  14. I searched the Forum but couldn't find an answer. Is there any problem using two quarts of Mobil 1 20-50 and two quarts of Mobil 1 10-40 in an engine? My instinct says no.
  15. Not too wise riding helmetless in a big city but I would like to have more information on his speed versus one of our greatest fears - a vehicle turning left. I'm sure that this incident will prompt a spate of proposed (and ill thought out) motorcycle laws.
  16. For the past few years I have been using neoprene fisherman's gloves. They work like a wet suit and around here we use them in late fall-early winter for off shore striper fishing. Shimano makes a nice pair but there are others. http://www.usangler.com/product.cfm?model=...FTOKEN=88856916
  17. Well, I'm sitting here bummed out. In over four months of postings, no one has come up with a photo of motorcycling's favorite - Michelle Smith. Just last night I saw her at Daytona. She was checking out headlights (the bike kind) at night but it was chilly. Her comment was that she and the twins were getting into a warm truck. The twins??? She apparently appeared in Playboy several years ago but not as a Playmate. Just how long must I stay disappointed?
  18. Add me to the list of believers. I bought a foot of 5/8" water hose at a marine supply store. The hair spray trick was good - hadn't heard that before.
  19. My wife and I went on a 250-300 mile one day outing on the Rosso Corsa and she couldn't wait to get off. She is 5' 6" and about 130 lb. I even put a gel pad and sheepskin cover on the seat. The pillion area is too small, too firm, the footpegs are too high, and there is nothing behind to grab or lean on. She said it was her first and last trip on the Rosso so I bought a BMW R1150RT for two up. She loves it.
  20. Anthro's birthday greeting to Jaap needs to be cross referenced with the hooters thread. How in the world did she get her boobs to look like bagels begging for cream cheese?
  21. Happy BDay Jaap - you're catching up to me!
  22. I second the Guzzi bag suggestion - it works well. Put some 3M clear strips on the tank first to protect the finish (Tankslapper has 3M custom cut for the V11).
  23. That's depressing - I had calculated that at my present rate of staring I was going to live to about 175.
  24. After watching the show, I appreciate even more the fact that I have a basically hand made motorcycle. Like stogieBill I didn't know that Guzzi was the winningest motorcycle marque.
