  4. I removed that post, too much info Here's another clone for the road
  5. It's a CBX clone on a CB 750 frame . The give away is the forward tilting big ass shocks & the RC 164,165,166 had exposed dry clutches . If I'm right give the point to DeBen he's gonna go over the edge if he doesn't get one soon
  6. DRY And all that stuff about brakes & tyres more than makes up for TQ specs weight 368.2 minus - 4lbs oil, 21.42 lbs gas, 8oz battery fluid = dry weight

  8. I used it in the Speed triple because like you I got a good deal on it ( it fell off the back of a truck ) No complaints . Also they make some helmet deodorizer that's purdy good It's called " Funk be Gone "
  9. It's Linto 500 GP 1969 Little-known fact: Lino Tonti designed a race bike called the "Linto" just before he was hired at Moto Guzzi. The engine in the Linto was essentially two Aermacchi top ends grafted onto a single crankcase Btw this is the first one that I have seen that was red . The pics in Classic Bike show several green ones
  10. More Rocket Man 145 mph on a bicycle
  11. ^^ Meguro ? Meihatsu ?
  12. I sense a $64,000 / Van Doren scandal in the making
  13. Piaggio already has modern production facilities in India. There's no cost involved for them to move production . They can keep the old place as a museum / styling design center & still have Moto Guzzi's corporate idenity there while getting rid of high labor cost & incompetence. It's called globalization ! Have you ever noticed how a Stella scooter looks like a Vespa ? LML is a longtime India-based scooter company formerly licensed by Piaggio to build Vespas for the Indian/Asian market.
  14. Thanks Al, I only put out that simplified version 'til you got here . I heard you were running late , so I was just covering for you
  15. ditto on what Mike said . The first time I saw this I showed Mike Haven my old plugs & he said this was normal .
  16. Before I removed the swingarm I measured the lenght of the threads protruding from the pivots & found them to be the same lenght . Had I not measured them I would have put 'em back on & then adjusted them 'til they were equal. YMMV
  17. Yeah it was too easy . I don't think anyone could forget those oval pistons
  18. C'mon Carl take one for the team, it's all in the name of science
  19. ^^ That's the never ready Honda NR 750
  20. I'm going to give up . Is the engine a Douglas ?
  21. is the first one a Crocker ?
