bento, i can believe somebody could a have broken aluminum bracket , but there's no way I'm going to believe you have a broken steel replacement. You just quit whatever it is that you did to break a second one. I'm not going to let you start badmouthing the mother ship or MGNA, next thing you'll want to file a class action suit

Yeah what John said. You might get pulled over by some over zealous cop, who would swear you ground off the serial # & give you a bunch of grief. Think of all the hassle & then having to prove this was a factory recall & providing the paperwork after your bike has been towed & impounded.

Let's see if can I straighten this out. What I said was, that I've hauled oil out of several refineries to repackagers, who put this same oil into several different jugs with various names on the jugs. All major oil companies have their own additives that they want blended into the base stock. Now , I use synthectic in all my stuff, either Mobil 1 or Shell Rotella synthectic. If I hadn't signed several non- disclosure statements I could tell some F'd up stories about some of these so called wonder oils,but I'm scared of the big oil companies too

Well since John is 1/3 to 1/2 cheaper on fuel tanks I think he'd be cheaper on mufflers too. There's a lot more work into making a fuel tank than mufflers. Send him a of those $ 1700 mufflers & see what price he gives you for a set of cans I'm not knocking Wilcox's work , its just his prices that seem out of line when compared to John's & John's stuff has been in a lot of mags too.

The # is stamped on the new cases with a punch set. Thats how it's done at MPH anyway. It's a lot harder to do after the the motor is back in the frame. Just ask Davey Parsons

Mine didn't make any noise like you describe & I ran it about a week with water in it Is yours one of the ones that were on the recall list?, mine was & it still didn't make noise. Time to start the oil thread again....I used synthectic in the trans after the first change. Sump'n ain't right
