  1. Judging by your post it must really be noisy
  2. B 4 I started hauling ordanance I spent 15 yrs hauling chemicals & oil out of just about every refinery & chemical plant in the U.S. & Canada. Ive been to umpteen repackagers, who put oil in anybodys jug I never have been to the H-D refinery Buy your oil at Wally World unless you just have to have that H-D label
  3. I think they said they found lamp replacement knobs at a hardware store Why not call MPH & get a replacement ? Todd usually has them in stock.
  4. That's the great thing about reading Mobydick for the second time. You realize Ahab & the whale have come to terms.
  5. The side of my size 13 boots near the toe area
  6. Antonio how much coffee have you had ? http://www.tlbrancha.com/coffee.html
  7. jerroldt, I didn't mean to imply that you you shouldn't use synthectic in the gear box ( I do ). From your post I got the impression that H-D had one type oil that would work in all applications ie gearbox, motor ,primary. My bad.
  8. Leo vince comes to mind ,but I cant get the link to work Do a search here & see what you come up with, also you know about this ? http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=501
  9. http://www.mphcycles.com/
  10. Look here for Jack http://home.pacbell.net/diana_do/knowjack.htm
  11. I dont know about H-D wonder oil but I dont believe I'd use synthectic gear oil in my motor. You see thats why it's called gear oil & not motor oil I know you was thinking.... Guzzi is the Italian H-D
  12. so i was looking at a Honda Goldwing the other day as a track bike ( dont laugh, go read High Times magazine)
  13. I can remember Charles Manson commenting on the remarkable clarity of the then new CD's " I guess the Beatles weren't talking to me after all "
  14. " This has nothing to do with oil, literally nothing to do with oil "
  15. Oil ? Well..... then you might as well know about this
  16. Your not alone. There has been some talk about vibration or resonance screwing up relays. Gino who rides a Centauro thought his bike had been given a super tune, when it was nothing more than replacing the relays.
  17. I agree with Brian, I've seen prices between $200 & $300 for custom maps,so $250 is quite reasonable. And with Eldo you know it will be right Racer X is the go to guy out west. In this part of the country nobody has any experience with Guzzi's. There's just NO substitute for a custom map.
  18. Not me I'm one of the fat guys, that talks about my bad gas mileage when pulling my trailer
  19. Brian I'm not calling you a liar, but mine did the same thing & it was caused by me standing on 'em when I was doing wheelies . When I had to spring for new ones at 4000 miles I quit standing on 'em
  20. How come you guys is giving a bunch shit to supertwin ? Doesn't he have a right to his own opinion ? I 've met him at Ski Shores in Austin & at the BMOA rally in New Ulm Tx. He's one of the good guys & knows his shit ( unlike me ) It just seems that this turned into a personal attack. Everybody knows I'm a MPH whore, but given the choice of a GB or MGS/01, there is no way I'd be waiting for MGS/01. That's just my opinion, I could be wrong
  21. You are correct Sir. The fact that you got a manual is a good sign The last 3 Brevas showed up with the manuals in French 20/50 is what you should be using. They come from the factory with synthetic, but using dino is not going to void your warranty. I use the synthectic , it gets so DAMN HOT !! in the summer down here & sitting in Houston traffic it gives me peace of mind. I've been using synthetics in my 18 wheelers since 87. My 98 Pete with a Cat had 1,300,000 on when I traded it in & only replaced 2 injectors & 1 water pump. The benefits of synthetics have been documented time & time again & it's not something I'm willing to cut corners on. I dont see anybody using non- detergent anymore, but the same kind of people said the same kind of things when detergent oil came out. YMMV
  22. Ok Al, we're not gonna do it :!: Since your getting impatient, you go ahead & do it.That way it will be just like you want it to be
  23. There was a lot of talk about the nervous feeling in the front end, especialy at high speed on the early models. I believe Racer X was one of the first people to suggest raising the forks. I waited about 3 months before trying this & then went 3/8 & was extremely pleased with this set up. YMMV http://www.guzzitech.com/V11SportWobble-Todd_E.html
  24. If you get one of those, then you MUST have one of these http://www.sportsimportsltd.com/riwiledbrli.html
