I'm not sure what would be your best way to go on the timing cover but, that seal is history. You're gonna have to replace it. On second thought I would try JB weld on the timing cover before I'd spring for a new one.
I like Handy lifts. Most shops use 'em, although they're quite expensive $750 to $1000 depending on what model you get. They'll out last you & you can will 'em to grandkids.

Life is slowly getting back to normal. The FEMA inspector came out last week & ruled the house as uninhabitable. I have to get all the papers filled out & submitted, but it looks like I'll be able to qualify for a low interest loan to rebuild
