  1. Hey Bubb, always good to read a new face here, and wax it, man. Wax it. Later, S.H.
  2. Hey L'fingarado, Cool to see a new member,Caio! And also a "Kick Ass!!!" to you, another Brother of the Fraternal Order Of Corsa's, it's easy to let these bikes get under your skin,no? See ya around, S.H.
  3. Hi, Yes this is a great site. Welcome aboard! S.H.
  4. I'm also very interested in how much difference those with the radial m/c feel it's made. Yes they are theroretically "better", but that's also some pretty big coin to get into them. I think my brakes are pretty damn good already. I only use my index finger for all but the hardest stops now. Of course, the fact that this bike is a quarter of a century newer than any of my previous bikes MUST be taken into consideration! I'll be lookin' for what looks like the new thread that's coming out of this...
  5. "The little cute one with the perky set, and her BIG friend. She not THAT bad, but hers hang a little fer my tastes..."
  6. "A tapping tappet is a happy tappet!" I'm with raz on checking those valve clearances. It's simple, easy, cheap and then you can cross that off your list 100% Good Luck! S.H.
  7. Can you remove the nuts for the exhaust clamps at the head, and the clamps at the front of the rear cross over, and then pull both the headers and front crossover off as a single piece?
  8. Isn't that seat a Corbin also? The more I see our bikes changed, the more I am convinced that they are one of the best looking bikes made, right outta the showroom...now if I could afford one of those lovely tail sections of Paul's to be properly rid of that FUGLY plastic fender (the ONE truly ugly part on our bike, IMO).
  9. Hi Rutger, Welcome to the site. And might I say, fabulous upgrade on your v11, Ohlins Rule! Long may the Corsas run!!! See ya around here, S.H.
  10. Hey quaz, If you have the time, check your crankcase vent/valve. See that the ball isn't stuck in its seat and stopping the exit of hot crankcase gas build up.
  11. If I'm not mistaken, Harley only bought the European dealerships, not the actual marquee. It was to expand their Euro dealership network NOW, instead of the time/investment of building/renting/leasing. Plus, you show the sporty guys your MV's, and Buells, and the aging sportbike guys have a place to look at their possible future, and trade the old one in, all at the same place you then frequent the rest of your motorcycling days... At least that's what a guy at work told me, and he pays way more attention to the business page than me.
  12. Hi arek, The valve adjusting procedure is pinned here at "FAQ". You can download the owners manual here, check in "Fileshare" section. I bought a CD on eBay that is even more in depth, and totally worth the money in the first few simple jobs you do yourself (I have no personal interest in the cd in any way). And this is a great place for a fast answer. Good luck, S.H.
  13. Ya bastard, you just made me shoot beer (a Porter) out of my nose!
  14. Just wondering if you get this, ever... Someone will ride up from behind me, or stop me in the gas station, and say something along the lines of, "Oh, I thought that was a Hayabusa at first..." After this had happened more than three times, I got the chance to ask why I keep hearing this. His response was, "The Rear End. Most Jap bikes , the tail goes straight up. But yours is more like the Hayabusa, with that rounded, sculptured rear part of the seat." Just Wonderin' The other one I get is, "Is that a Ducati?". No, Really.
  15. I still have the stock rear fender, and I only raise mine 3- 4", it takes a bit of careful wiggling, but it comes out no problem. Of course, higher will give you more clearance, and further to set it down, while testing my bad lower back, when she drops . Hey, as I get older , I consider this stuff...
  16. As a side note, Greg Field has said his shop uses a strap tie down to lightly snug the front crossover between the exhaust pipes, and then tighten the cross over clamps first, then heads, and on in the sequence of "front to back". This is supposed to be the technique to avoid the dreaded "Floppy Pipe that blocks your alternator cover Blues"
  17. Looks like you could have just built a real motorcycle with all that time involved!
  18. [quote Only problem is its almost to nice to use everyday. Andy Oh, I'm pretty sure you'll get over that, quickly , and congratulations on what is likely to be one of your best purchases on the dollars/happiness scale Ride on! S.H.
  19. Thanks Greg, your procedure is precisely why I bought these pretty darn expensive gaskets. And to Polebridge, got em at my local MG shop, at about $50.00 for the pair! , but when ya needs em, ya buys em... ...I will report back on my success/problems when I've got them in, and put on some miles, S.H.
  20. Another downside in the changes to fuel these last two decades or so: The old exhausts SMELLED great, not like todays ROTTEN EGG scented junk! Also, (not gas related) Children were to be seen, NOT heard! Ahhhh, the good ol' days...
  21. Just bought the Moto Guzzi front cross over gaskets in an attempt to tighten my loose pipe. They appear to be made of some really soft type of plastic, with a shiny, almost pewtery coating. Anyone know what they are really made of? And no, I can't post pictures right now, sorry. Thanks for your input, S.H.
  22. Welcome aboard, Vim. You'll find this is a tight knit group, always ready to lend a hand, good luck on that Cafe! S.H.
  23. It is entirely KICK ASS to hear you are up again!
  24. Antonio, Do you know/ can you divulge more detail, such as what city the true owner lives in? Dante assigned a particular ring in hell for bike/horse thieves, I believe... and "Instant Karma gonna git you, F';**R"..."
  25. Ahhh, the ONLY one who NEEDS to be happy in this...SUCCESS! PROST!!!
