  1. Hey Firecracker, Haven't had my '04 Nero Corsa long, LOVED the ride almost instantly, also my first Guzzi. I was told by my very good M/C guy that the only hassle for me will be to be serious about greasing the drive shaft points, because it is exposed, and I ride as much as I can, so the elements are a factor here. Beyond that, it seems from my research that most of the problems were sorted out by the 'O3 models. You will not be dissappointed, until you see how beutiful the Nero (RE:Black) is....(Sorry, couldn't help myself, ). And as you know, this picture doesn't even begin to show you the depth of detail in the paint, I say go for it! Happy Hunting no matter how it goes, Savagehenry
  2. Yeah, sure did, should be here next week, CAN"T WAIT, will update my New Member file when I truly have it in my possesion...Savagehenry "Real Motorcycles only come in three colors, Black, Blue or Black..."
  3. Yeah, thats the one, and I'm smilin' sooo big my head may fall off. I have a 1978 BMW R100S, (soon for sale...) and had a 1979 HD Lowrider, the newest bikes I've owned up to this point. I'm told I'm about to enter a whole new universe of motorsickles. Haven't even ridden any Guzzis yet, but I know a thing or two about obsession, and have been transfixed with the v11 since I saw the green redframe in '00. Ohhhh, here we go again........ Has anyone found out how many of these are out there/produced? Again, good luck, Savagehenry
  4. A tapping tappet is a happy tappet. Insures a complete combustion and exhaust stroke. Just bought a '04 Nero Corse myself, first Guzzi, have had only air cooled twins so far, set enough valves to know this; Looser is ALWAYS better, in this arena...
  5. I also talked to a person in Houston, found through "Craigslist", " '04 Cafe sport, sounded reasonable enough. Stay focused and on the trail, good luck! Savagehenry
  6. Savagehenry here again. First, thanks to all who took interest, and those who replied. I am officially in the fold, in a big way. Bought a '04 Nero Corse, with motor work, and nice stuff on the outside too. Later.....
  7. Hello, A little while back, I started a thread on the 24/7 forum, "cafe vs. lemans", as I began a search for a v11, Ohlins equipped. I put down money on a '04 Nero Corsa today, thus joining the ranks of you guys. Thanks to all who responded. Savage Henry
  8. Hello, new to the list, don't have a MG yet. After being bit by the green redframe years ago, I have done a little research here and elsewhere. I think I will go for a post '03, either the cafe sport or a nero corsa. The only fairing I have ever been behind for any length of time is on my current ride, a 1978 BMW R100S. Anyone with experience on an airhead, and comparisons or opinions as to ergo's and ride/character of the two models? I'm 5' 10", 180 lbs. I'm wondering just how effective the Lemans fairing is, and if that bikini fairing is of any benefit, or annoyance. The beemer is the newest bike I've owned over about 20 years, and I haven't sat on either v11, but I FEEL one will be for me. Yes, this will be a personal choice in the end, but I figure this would be the best forum to hear specifically about these these bikes, and it snowed like Heck out there today, so I figured I get the debate started. Any and all comments are welcomed, thanks to all in advance, Savagehenry
