"To mirror or not to mirror... that is the question"

Perhaps this was already said, but the Tenni is indeed a limited edition with limited production numbers (I've seen claims of 150; 170; experts please help!). Production numbers for the Rosso Corsa and Nero Corsa were not limited. Years ago, I asked the then Moto Guzzi PR department in Mandello how many Rosso Corsa's were built, but they never replied.... probably they do not know the numbers themselves? The Tenni being a 2002 model, comes with the poor quality "wrinkle" engine paint which, if not fixed in the meanwhile, will probably have turned brown/grey-ish or (will) at least (party) peel(ed) off (sooner or later). I love the Tenni color scheme, but I prefer by far my 2003 Rosso Corsa, because of the Ohlins suspension, and of course, no issues with the glossy engine paint. PS: I am not sure I would want to have the Scura's and Tenni's single plate clutch It is obvious that Tenni sellers use the "limited edition"-factor to inflate asking prices.... This however also requires that the bike is in original condition (and not with exhaust pipe wrapping or other pseudo-tuning).

I will probaby sound pedantic, but IMHO any self-respecting Guzzi rider will make sure that his pillion wears proper boots and most importantly motorcyce gloves before taking her on a ride....

I have the Daes "lenkerstummel" on my 2003 V11 LM RC. They fit perfectly (incl. with the Ohlins forks). Cables and hoses do not need to be replaced. Very comfortable indeed and beautifully made. According to the Daes website, delivery takes2-3 days to 1-2 weeks (I guess that this applies only to EU; overseas delivery incl. customs clearance may take more time; perhaps best to ask Roland before ordering).

Hi, I have a 2017 Aprilia Tuono 1100 Factory as my second bike and Nordschleife-tool. The Tuono's performance, handling, gearshifter (blipper!), brakes, etc. are in a different league than the Guzzi. This said, it is much easier (and much less frustrating) to enjoy the Guzzi at legal speeds than the Tuono. With the Tuono, you always feel like wanting to go faster. I am 187 cm and while the upright seating position on the Tuono is obviously more comfortable, the Le Mans offers me more leg room. Suspension comfort seems similar (both are Ohlins and adjusted to my weight (76 Kg)). Even though the Tuono and the Guzzi are extremely different bikes, I enjoy riding both of them, adjusting my riding style (and expectations!) to their (very different) character.

Triumph Speed RR versus Ducati Panigale V2?
rosso corsa replied to p6x's topic in Special place for banter and conversation
Why pay EU (or US)-level prices for something (no matter how good or beautiful it may be) built in a low-wage country? If it wants to fly the Union Jack, it should be built there too. -
Bitubo also on my 2003 Rosso Corsa. The Bitubo was as far as I know the original standard equipment on the Rosso Corsa throughout its production.

I bought my V11 LM Rosso Corsa in spring 2003 as I was getting bored with my then motorcycle (a too perfect BMW K1200RS) and wanted something totally different. When I saw the Rosso Corsa, I immediately fell in love with its (or should I say "her"?) looks. During the following months, I test rode a number of very diffferent bikes (BMW R1100S and R; Aprilia Falco and Futura; etc). When I rode the V11, however, she immediately gave me a big smile, which lasted the entire day until I had to hand her back to the dealer and return home withe the BMW. The V11 is a truly living machine with its imperfections (aka "character") that makes every ride an emotional experience. Also, on my Guzzi, I have the impression to go fast even when I am only doing 80 Km/Hr, which is a key advantage in Belgian traffic conditions marked by speed cameras and increasingly repressive controls. Still, when midlife crisis hit, I added a Tuono V4 1100 RF to the stable, as my Nordschleife toy. Even with such tough competition, the V11 is still my favorite.

Is there an advantage in these 1200 2v valve covers or is it just a matter of aesthetics?

Production figures Rosso Corsa and Nero Corsa?
rosso corsa replied to rosso corsa's topic in V11 Registries
Thanks a lot Jaap, that is also what I read; 2003-2004 were tough years in Mandello. I sent an e-mail to the Moto Guzzi client service; let's see what comes out... -
Perhaps this question has been raised before, but, does anybody know how many Rosso Corsas and Nerro Corsas were ever produced? Grazie Mille

If you already own the 2017 edition of Falloon's "Complete History", his 2020 "centennial" edition is a disappointment as it is only an update of the 2017 one (i.e. same text and pictures for everything pré-2017). Is that all that could be done to mark the 100th anniversary? Similar to previous editions, the section on the varies V11 special series remains disappointingly succinct....

Lemans Rosso Corsa Tank Vinyl Graphics
rosso corsa replied to Shepflylow's topic in Technical Topics
Slightly off topic . Does anyone know the color codes for the Rosso Corsa red (base color and sticker color)? I assume that it is not a RAL color? Grazie Mille -
98 RON? (I meant John Daniels)

Baglux seems to be very similar to Bagster. I have been very happy with my Bagster tank cover and tank bag that you clip on the cover. I have also used the Tekno semi-rigid panniers ( but found the (dis)mounting of the racks quite cumbersome (and it looks VERY ugly without panniers). Another alternative: a Stucci luggage rack

It says "05/11/2015" on the page? PS: the page has not been updated since 30 Nov 16. They must be very busy developing new engines...
