I am sure all years of V11s will fit. Some of the more knowledgeable members will tell you more than I can. I would consider anodizing over painting. This is a permanent solution so make sure of the color choice. I don't know if you can un-anodize something ? Hi, Has anyone anodized their covers and were happy with the results? I have been told over the years that cast aluminum doesn't anodize and the finish can appear uneven and or blotchy? Bob

Bob, Pictures would really help. I can see on the blow up hand drawings (parts/work manual) the general area just not where they go. Looks as if the end with the flat plate with the 6mm hole goes at the windshield mounting bolt it's how the other end mounts that I can't seem to see. Thanks for your help. Rich Hi Rich, Does this help? Bob

If money is not an issue, I have been very happy with the change. Bob

Hi Rich, The brackets attach to the triple tee. Do not have a pic to send you but let me know if you need and I can take a picture tonight. These are longer bolts to accomodate the bracket than what is in there without the bracket. Bob

It ends up draining from the cable back into the tranny and why we typically do when changing the tranny fluid.

This method worked for mine!

Bob, if no one has beat me to it, I'd be interested in the tail tidy... Hi - Sorry for any confusion. Mine is not for sale. The person I purchased mine from was a guy over on WildGuzzi that goes by the name of SpaceClam. He did very nice work, better than I expected when I purchased. JoeV11 also makes a version of the tidytail that uses the stock tail light. I have one of his as well but I have never installed his. I could be willing to sell that if he is out of them but last I saw here in the classifieds, he had a few left. Both of these 2 tails cost ~$100 as I recall. Additionally, I do not notice any more dirt etc underneath as a result of removing the large fender and I do hit rain occaionally but I try to avoid rain when I can so I am not sure how much worse it would be if I frequently rode in the rain. regards, Bob

Hi Paul, I have no idea. I had mine done in late 2010. Took about 14 weeks before I had it. He was easy enough to reach by phone and that is about the only way to communicate to him. I was not in a rush so it didn't make a difference to me. There is another guy that posts from time to time, Alu-Tank in Germany that does nice work as well but his tank is more of a true cafe type tank so it depends if you wish to retain your stock lines of your V11. Many hear have posted that they like the aero cap better and the Tank Shop will do that too. I liked the more retro look of the monza so had him make mine with it. All I knew was I was not going to pay another $1000 US for a plastic one that would end up doing the same thing. Regards, Bob

Ouch! Ah well, I knew it wasn't gonna be cheap, but 15% of the value of the bike [like I would ever sell it! ] is not a no-brainer. Still, best start saving my pennies... True, but a new plastic one was even more and you would end up with the same result later down the road. Bob

I bought one of Gregg Field when he was posting and at MI. He mention ed to me that if I had the newer bike I would need to remove the charcoal cannisters....mine was older and the cannisters were under the seat and why I think they were the same stand. Bob

Hi - Many have done this very thing. Here is a pic of mine. You do not need to remove all the way back under the seat although some have. You just need to do the rear most section. I left the small plastic part that was a sub part to the large plastic fender as it covers the wires nicely. JoeV11 is selling a tidy-tail and I have one too, never installed and it is made very nicely. Mine was made by a guy in CA and he used an LED tail light. Not sure how much it would cost to ship to the UK? Regards, Bob

I remember someone saying the after market stand was the same for both bikes. I may be remembering wrong and hopefully someone that knows for sure will chime in. Did someone tell you there were 2? Bob

'Tis a thing of beauty & a joy forever, but I'd want mine to retain the stock "aero" flush mount gas cap setup. Powder coated black to match the rest of the bike [& save my vision on sunny days! ] & it certainly would seem to be a solid solution to the fuel-stretch issue w/ the plastic nylon tank! What did that beauty run you? Approx $950 US delivered from The Tank Shop.

I gave up on plastic.

I am looking for a set of brackets used to attach the Givi mini fairing to a V11 Sport. Please contact me through this forum if you have a set you are willing to part with. Best regards, Bob

Hi - I ride mostly in city traffic and get ~26 mpg which I believe converts to ~11.05km/L. If I have a mix of use I typically get 32 mpg which is slightly better than what you are experiencing. Bob

Here are my CRG's. Mine vibrate hardly at all considering how the stock mirrors did. Nice V11 you have! Bob

I sent my bar end weights to MPH in Houston and they turned them down to properly fit bar end mirrors FWIW.

Yikes! They are not happy till 5000rpm. At those rpm's folks say you are lugging you Guzzi. Congrats though. Bob

Hi Chuck, Your know that trip odometer unscrews clockwise? Bob

Hi, Mr. Beemer I only have very bad experiences with The Tank Shop. You gotta be P A T I E N T as in 'patient', in fact very patient. He promised to fix me a tank for my Scura and one year later (1 year) he called me and said the tank would be ready in a month or so. It wasn't. In fact to this date I haven't seen or heard anything from the good John Williams so I would rather look in the alutank.de direction. Just my two cents based on my experience with Tank Shop. Cheers Søren It is hit or miss with the Tank Shop. He was not too busy when I ordered a year ago September. Quoted me 12-weeks and think I had it in my hand in 15. I was not in a rush so I didn't care either way. I do like the look of the cafe tank from AluTank. If I was not keeping my stock tail I probably would have done something different. Bob

When you speak with John, make sure he allows clearance for the "ears" of your tail piece if you are still using it like I am. PM me if you wish and I can take pics this weekend for you. On west coast for work this week. Bob

I "think" around $750 USD......... Close to $1,000 US with shipping to FL. Closest guy in the US that will build one is nearly double. Not sure the price from AluTank on the cafe style tank. Bob
