  1. Boring......pehaps or it is a matter of opinion. I only wished this site had the participation that WildGuzzi has. Almost any day there are > 225 on-line members. Bob
  2. Hi, I have a red frame and was thinking of going that way to tie it together.......will I regret it? Bob
  3. Well Sean, did she get a bike over the weekend? Would like to hear what she diecided. Bob
  4. Hi Brian, It was described that as the oil is poured in, it rises quickly and exits the hole and can be misleading that it is actually filled. Therefore his conclusion was, drain, measure and fill. Bob
  5. Hey Sean/Erin, If you excuse the "cross congrats" to Erin! :> Bob
  6. Second that. I did mine recently and Guzziology says, "drain, measure, and fill 350ml and 20ml. Do not use the overflow plug. Claims that more time than not you will underfill if you are using the plug.
  7. Wow, nice job. Did you use screws to attache the plywood to the 2x4? Looks like you had her pretty stable? Bob
  8. I hear you. I love the look of Staintunes but really expensive so was curious if anyone has dressed up the stock. I have also seen them with Jet Coat that looks good but if I am going to invest about 150.00 I REALLY should get aftermarket ones. Bob
  9. Hmm............
  10. Hi - Just a question that I did'nt see in this "old" running thread. Has anyone simply tried polishing the stock, brushed aluminum cannisters? I have seen some heads done and they look really good and was curious if the same could be done with the original cans? Bob
  11. I got the same thing at a local bike mechanic's shop. Says when he saw the rear he thought it was a HBasa.
  12. Wow. Sounds very high. Progressive - 185/year 48 years with clean record.
  13. I bought my bike used and it has the screen like the one pictured above on my bike.
  14. So True - That's why we moved to Tampa 3 years ago from Norwood MA and never looked back. Kind of miss the hills but 60 degrees is a cold day! :> Bob
  15. Hi - I too am wrapping up a new tire purchase for my 2000 V11. From what I have investigated, I think I am going with Pirelli Diablo Strada. Seem to be a good price point, longevity and performance package. I am mostly cruising rather than track etc. Anyone have any experience with these? Bob
  16. Hi - I am not sure I am below idle speed but this might be the culprit. I am definately still "pulling" forward as I am slowing down. But I do only notice it when just about ready to pull in the clutch and stop. Bob
  17. Hi All, Started noticing this in the past couple of weeks and was wondering if anyone has encountered? When slowing down and preparing for a stop in 1st gear (usually for a traffic light), it feels as if there is a slight speeding up of the drive shaft. Not enough that it jolts the bike forward but I can definately feel a change in the feel of the gears/drive shaft. The clutch is out and I am slowing and going not more than 5-10 MPH when I experience this. The rpm's are steady. Thx for any insight anyone might have. Bob
  18. Also............I was told different years do diff things. I have a 00 and it makes it's noise with the clutch out and is quiet when in. Was told it is the opposite in 01 or 02 and later. Bob
  19. And they applied the eagles on the tank "backwards". Both are rear facing rather than forward facing. Is pretty though. Bob
  20. Mtn Biking is no fun in Florida. I recently switched out to slicks when "fat" guys started passing me on their 3 speeds! I can't stand to part with it...it's a guzzi of bicycles! Bob
  21. I think "Leaf" was just expressing a concern that this valuable board might end up by the wayside as fewer of our bikes are around and should we morph into a hybrid of some sort to keep it going for years to come with lots of activity. We respect the owner of this site but I do understand Leaf's comments. Bob
  22. Yes - dpn't forget Mountain Biking.......although, mountains are far and few since moving to Florida. Bob
  23. Exactly!
  24. Hmmm.....let me think. I live 3 miles from work. Work 12 hours a day..............that accounts for my 1,000 miles in the past 5 months. Just too many other tasks get in the way. I love to ride my bike, however, I need to schedule it in. Lately, I have had to take a "vacation" day to just to enjoy it. Bob
