Nanc, Wow, a writer amongst us! Glad the first weekend worked out so well. The response from folks is a riot. "Never seen one of these".....I get that one a lot. Ok, we will be patient for the pic's! Bob

Hi Joe, Welcome aboard! Actually. yes, have spoken with Bill in the past. I think he misses "your" bike! Bob

I have had some estimates. All seem to be between 450-550 with decals and clear coat for the tank. It is some type of plastic I believe. Bob

Hi, You should have received these with it along with longer bolts to replace the shorter one on your exhaust hanger. Bob

Hey Gonzo, Awesome Job! I bet you could have a few takers if you made up more than one of those! Regards, Bob

Hi Nanc - sorry......I think the price on yours is very good......mine is not a Lemans which is worth, IMHO, at least a grand more......and again, from my watching....the green ones seem to get more than silver ones. With regards to mileage, most on this forum would say they are both low mileage bikes and mine might actually be too low and not well driven during it's 8 years. This is my first Guzzi and I bought it from a older guy on Long Island in August and shipped it to Tampa. I bought it after lot's of research and really liked that I could most likely keep it running myself or at least do more "stuff" than I could on other bikes like a Ducati, etc. I haven't ridden since college days. I really love it and now living in Florida I have the right weather for it. At least to me, I feel you need to be smoother with the throttle than other bikes I have been on or "hold on"!! Bob

Tom, Welcome aboard. Tell us more about your purchase! Bob

Hi Nan and welcome....... I bought a 2000 V11 with 3,300 miles and paid $5,300 if that helps you gage. It was in excellent shape and had a few of the fiber bits, fairing, fender, dash and starter cover. Mine is silver and from what I have seen the green ones have gone for 4-500 more on eBay. I love mine although I do not get to ride it nearly as much as I would like....only about 500 miles in the past 3 months! Best of luck, Bob

I think I saw this listed a month or so ago. Mileage seems familiar. Bob

Hi, Have been looking at the MG Rear Rack for my V11. However, before I purchase I was wondering if anyone else has bought/made/found any "grab handles" for our V11's or has those wishing grab handles purchased the rear rack? Thx, Bob

Thx for all the advice. Again, mine has Thx, Bob

Ok....lot's of great info. I thought my last question before. I have done no more than fluids on my bike. When changing tires (I read some other threads), do you guys that do not change them yourself go to: 1. Tire Guy 2. Motorcycle Shop 3. Guzzi Shop Anyone have "bad" issues going to a non guzzi shop or one that doesn't do shaft driven bikes? Is this a concern? Thx, Bob
-
Well the former owner "claims" to have left her with the wheels off the ground. He had lot's of bikes and it seems to have been well cared for so I am guessing he might have. No cracks or anything when I inspected them but I know tires can often look fine when they are not. The more I think of 7-8 year old tires, the more I have decided they should be switched regardless. Despite geating what I thought was a great deal on a used Guzzi, I do feel a bit off because it's my first and I lack a point of reference by not having it since new to gage. Thx for the suggestion on tires....yes Sunday driving is cruising, mostly between 40-50 mph (city you know). My last question, unless anyone else weighs in on tire recommendations................Would I be breaking any Guzzi Laws or will she even run if I tried to install non-Italian tires on it? Thx for all the advise...I do appreciate it! Bob

Again, because I do not know better regarding the handling, I am certainly open to that suggestion and inuitively, it makes sense. So it's safe to say that age is also a factor regardless of miles? Any personal preferences for someone that is at best a Sunday, around town and to the beach rider? Thx again, Bob

and.....the tires are the stock ones since new....Bridgestones.

I do not ride agressive but because my V11 handles unlike any other I have ridden in my junior years, I have trouble distinguishing if it's normal or time for tires. I have "learned" to handle it (DO NOT ACCELERATE OR DECELERATE in turn and I am good now!!)and am comfortable riding her, but because I have not owned it since new, it is hard for me to tell. I guessed they should last for up to 10k but certainly appreciate your input. I do ride mostly in city conditions so I do a lot of stop and go riding. Regards and Thanks, Bob

A very stupid question but if you could offer advise/insight it would appreciated. Bought my V11 in August. Has just under 4,000 miles on it. The tires appear fine (penny in the thread). How long would a set normally last? Not sure what normal driving would typically yield. Thx, Bob

Hmm....let me think!

Lived there a while...real estate too high. k Try Florida like I did....much more reasonable and the beaches are better. -
3,573 miles............ Lowest Miles?? Bob

Hi - From what I have read it depends on your year. I have a 2000 and the manual calls for a 20w50. I believe that newer V11's call for a different weight but am sure folks will let you know that. Lot's of discussion on dino and synthetic. I used AMSOIL synthetic because to me, the extra $$ once a year or so is not a big deal for me. I have also read that most DO NOT use synthetic in the gear box or rear drive and some of those that switched seem to have experienced leaky after they changed. Best of Luck, Bob

Hi Mick, I have owned a V11 for only a few month's now and love it! Welcome aboard. This board is a world of information and everyone is very helpful and a wealth of knowledge! Congrats! Bob
