  1. Here is the guy who built and posted over at wildguzzi. www.alu-tanks.de Nice job if you want it to look different from the stock tank-look of my replacement. Bob
  2. The Tank Shop did mine a year ago. He had a bike so not sure if he has a pattern now or not. I am very happy with mine. AluTank just posted a cafe tank he just finished for a V11 this week over on WildGuzzi. Com. Very nice too. Bob
  3. I like them a lot! Good price compared to most as well. Louder than stock. Nice though. Never had the baffles out. Bet that would be real load. I have a quick sound clip. MG Cycle $500 when I bought Bob
  4. FYI - I think Fotoguzzi had a buddy of his make one. There were pic's here somewhere. It looked really nice from what I recall. Maybe he will read and post. I think his buddy might have been willing to make for a fee but not sure? Bob
  5. I bought mine stand used from a member. Better price when they come up. No front spindle though. Use a regular lift for the front.
  6. MGCycle Bob
  7. Hens teeth..... Maybe, I just think they do not look as good as the color matched parts. My bike has not weathered much so the shine is still looking good.
  8. Nice find Duane. This is the place and also post this over at www.wildguzzi.com/forum. There was actually a post on the CL ad for your bike wondering more about it and who bought it. Post a few more pictures when you can. Bob
  9. I have a 2000 sport with the 4-cf parts. They are: 1. Fairing 2. Front Fender 3. Starter Cover 4. Gauge holder I was told this was a MG packaged option and a pre-cursor to what they were going to add to the RM in 2001. I was told this was a bit more than a $1,000 upgrade. I do not disagree with you, I would actually prefer the color matched parts instead. Bob
  10. I tend to agree that I too see fewer of these for sale than I did a few years back. I think I agree with the others regarding the price. I am guessing realistically that mine is worth $3,800-$4,300USD tops. For that money what else could I buy or want for that matter. I "toyed" with buying one of the left-over V7 Cafe's that a dealer had in the states. Nice price but still $4K more than I would get for my bike and then I think.....would I be happy with it? Anyway, I a guess I will be hanging on to mine for a while more! I also believe that our V11's will be appreciated more (I do not mean be worth more either :>) over the next few years. I really love the lines of the Sport 1100 so much more but then you hear about the transmission is not as good (5 vs 6 speed) and many think it is easier/better/more comfortable to ride too. Here is mine a she stands at the moment. The older it gets the more I think the stck fairing doesn't look right on it. Regards, Bob
  11. +1 with check the oil filter! Make sure it is tight and add a "hose-clamp"!
  12. Hi, I put a light coat of oil on the gasket. I do not remove the hose. The is plenty of room to swing the pan for a nice cleaning. Other there is much debate, I add a $1.99 hose clamp on the filter to prevent any movement. Not sure on the torque setting, I just use a light "feel". They do not need too much but I am sure someone will give you the exact amount. Regards, Bob
  13. Beautiful, which tank is that? I can't seem to find that exact one on the site and it looks to be an almost perfect replica of the stock one. Was this a direct bolt-on for your bike? I have an 04 Cafe Sport with the internal regulator that leaks like a sieve and am wondering if this would be a relatively simple replacement for it if I can't get mine fixed. Cheers Hi, Yes, I bolted right on........look on his site under the section titled "Your Bikes". Bob
  14. No, he has done a handful.....go and select Customer's Bikes on the left hand side of the screen and the V11 is toward the bottom.
  15. Thanks. Hope you don't mind me asking...How much did it cost & how long did he take? KB It is on his site so no issues............450 pounds. Cost another 100 pounds for shipping to the US. Coverted to ~$950 US dollars. I figured it was about the same as a new replacement Guzzi tank and I would have the same issues down the line. Bob
  16. Ponti, I'm sure you've said before, but, who made the tank for you? Thanks. KB:sun: Here is the link. Bob The Tank SHop
  17. I can't help showing her off! The Tank Shop Bob
  18. I added ~ 5.25 gallons when I filled it up and I had probably .25 of a gallon from my can before I filled at the station. Bob
  19. This cap does not need to be vented. I added the decal and all running fine in the past week. I am guessing I will re-paint at some point......leave the cut-outs bare. Will need to decide if I am going to change the color to red or green or something? Kind of like this idea............but maybe not that color. And will need to read more from old posts on if I can remove the airbox easy enough and go with pods. Bob
  20. I came very close to doing what you did. I think I was nervouse that the stock tail might not work and I didn't want to commit to losing the stock tail at this point. Make sure you post yours when you recieve! Bob
  21. Hey they looks great! I would've gone with a flush gas cap, but it still looks awesome. Do you plan on getting some more polished pieces to compliment the tank? I ended up buying a 2002 V11 Lemans from MPH cycles. It will be here in Michigan in about two weeks time. I can't wait. I almost went with a flush cap but I wanted the bike to have an "older" feel to it. It is also offset to the right so it has a unique look to it. A polished front fender would look really nice.........would have to adapt something. Will get this going for a bit. Was toying with painting the tail red or something. The nice things with these/our bikes is they are relatively inexpensive compared to new so you can only mess them up so much. Bob
  22. Only "dry" fitted but it looks promising! Fits well. Bob
  23. Hi Unkept - What did you end up buying? I remember you were looking at a Rosso M but the dealer was holding firm. Bob
