Hi Ernst, Thank you for the pic's. I like the look so much better than the muted looking stock ones. Yes, this is something I would like to undertake. I have a set of black annodized ones that I will work on while I use the ones I have on my bike. Would love any other insights you might have. You left the sleeve on the exhause while polishing or did you slide it off? Thx again, Bob

Hi Ernst, Very interesting...yes it looks like a annodize of some sort. You do not have a picture do you? Would love to see it! Bob

Wow, nice job.....any pic's of in-process? Was it difficult? Bob

Hi - I notice he has disappeared as well.....didn't see anything either. I hope he is ok. He has helped me by answering several questions for me in my first year of Guzzi ownership! Hope all is well!? Bob -
Despite mostly city driving, my Guzzi has run flawlessly for the 1+ year I have owned her. Agreed that you need to keep the rpm's up there. I try not to be below 3,500. Actually 3,500 is in the middle of the bouncing needle....hmm....is it really 2,000 or 5,000??????????????? Bob

Based on my driving regimine, I feel I am probably where I should expect to be. Bob

Hi - to me, your mileage is great. My 2000 is stock and I do mostly city driving rarely getting out of 3rd gear. I get 30 around town. The best I ever got was 40+ while cruising. Bob

Hi, Not that I am lazy, just usually a measure 5x and cut 10x kind of guy . Looking to put on bar end mirrors. See that many folks have done this over time. Like the Oberons but CRG nice too. Saw these online and like the style too. What is the correct ID of our stock clip-on's? Is the ID of the stock clip-on 14mm? Want to ensure I ourder the right stuff! Thx, Bob

Hey Rich, That is beautiful! Tell us her story? How did you two meet? Bob

Hi Dimitris - Great Job!!! I think it's even better than what you started with!! Hope you love it! Bob

Actually, I see the brackets in the back of the table...look closely. The rack itself lists for 220.00. Bob

Funny is an understatement! What did he mean by "lift and American"? Bob

Hi I use the Guzzi Shop stand. Bought it after reading conflicting reports here about it's stability. I was quite nervous the first time I ever used. That being said, I find it rock solid and even more stable than I imagined. Figured I must be doing something wrong! LOL. I know Ratchet put a caster on his handle but "bent" it first. Has anyone ever added a cater without bending the handle....would you consider it safe? Bob

Hi, I have seen some folks that have done custom exhaust work but it seems that most have simply purchased after-market, Guzzi specific exhaust and cans. Has anyone had any luck, or how simple did you find it to have someone custom bend a new pipe that runs from the cross over to the factory can. Wouldn't this allow for a wider variety of options or will this cause other issues with the running or performance of our bike? Thx, Bob

Awesome write-up! Very informative. At least from what you wrote, I am even more happy with the decision I made a year ago. I live in downtown Tampa, and although it is a very small city, I am mostly in very slow moving traffic and I hadn't heard the point you made regarding slow vs fast speeds in comparing the two bikes before. Bob

Moto, How does it compare to your V11? What is better and or worse in your opinion. One of the considerations for me choosing a Guzzi was my "impression" that I could do more wrenching on it myself whereas I heard from many that Duc's need more "professional" servicing. handling etc.....I really like the looks of the GT although I am very satisfied with my V11. Have owned it a year, adjusted valves, fluids and although I have only put a few thousand miles, has been very reliable. I agree with you and the info on this site has been invaluable to me as a new Guzzi owner and riding in general (it was 20 somethig years for me in between rides) Bob

Tell us a little about that GT1000. I was considering it before my decision last year on my 2000V11. Bob

Sean, Hmm......I recall from my school days that the Emporer of Rome said a similar thing. Bob

Although I do not disagree with your statement. Doesn't anyone feel doomed here? There was a thread a few months back discussing if the site should be expanded. As I recall, most folks wanted the the V11 site to remain just that. Eventually though, as more of our bikes disappear, so will this board. Perhaps that is the ultimate plan, I am not sure? However, my point is....I like this site and have learned a lot from it, but unless it morphs into something else to attract other posters, it will be gone. Just my 2 cents. Bob

Hi Skeeve, Again this is a great site and has assisted me and my new to me V11. Just not enough folks that own this any longer. This is a great day with 10 members on as I write this post. I miss WG because many things are generic to the brand and it's a lot easier with 225 logged in over there. Bob
