  1. But can you tell a Glasgow Kiss from a Head Butt?
  2. Should still be available through your local friendly Guzzi dealer. Depending on the model, the cost should be around £8.00 - £18.00 each.
  3. Man, I really do not like the sound of Scottish porn.
  4. What's a TV? Sorry, I'm Scottish.
  5. Slavomir. We would make you very welcome in Scotland and take you or direct you to all the best roads - mostly on the northwest coast.
  6. I usually go and was planning to go this year. I'm still going but it sounds like I will have the place to myself. Mandello and the surrounding area are superb whether the Raduno is on or not. In fact, I kinda prefer it quiet. Bit of a bummer for the local hotels and eateries who normally do a roaring trade for these 3-4 days.
  7. Your sump is part number 01003590 and is available from Guzzi for £68.35. Your dealer is right about the red rocker covers though.
  8. Hi Steve, to add to all the above, the Guzzi World Club annual Raduno,(rally), normally takes place on the middle weekend of september - 20,000+ Guzzista in Mandello. More beautiful Guzzis than you can shake a stick at. I go every year. Accomodation can be tight for these three days. August is when Italy goes on holiday.
  9. If the site gets pulled, can we keep the Hooters thread?
  10. Hello Bertie, I believe it was you who met my Belgian mates Christel & Herman in Mandello. I had just left for the coast after the Raduno. I spoke to them in Belgium on my way home and they said they had been talking to a man from Orkney. Could only have been you. Robert. Oh yes, and I'll most likely come to Ken Bridge too.
  11. It will be the newest Motion Guzzi Griso 8V, motorized with the unknown propeller "Quattrovalvole", the Queen of the fifth edition of the GMG, in program to Mandello of the Lario from friday 14 to next Sunday 16 september. Isn't babal fish... interesting.
  12. I bought my Tenni second-hand with 3000 miles on it so the chances are it hadn't been tampered with and was still at the factory settings. I recently got a Titanium kit from e-bay with no instructions about TPS or valve adjustment so I just swapped everything. Fitting the ecu and cans took about an hour. The performance was very much improved right through the revs - it felt 'angry'. A week later I fitted a Mistral x-over which had the effect of smoothing everything out - less angry but still with loads of power everywhere. Delighted with the result and soon off to Italy on it for three weeks. After reading these posts, I've got little worries planted in my mind which I think I'll try to ignore. Maybe I'm just lucky and stupid.
  13. Was that your van! It's a tiny world. Your mate said he had a Duke in the back but I did notice the Guzzi sticker on the front. Put on Roadtec Z6's - good enough for my needs and they last. There's so much bloody choice I stick with what I know are ok. They seem like a good balance between grip and longevity plus I'm taking my girl on hols so don't intend doing much scratching. Nice one, see you soon.
  14. Hello there Giles, how you do? Not really much of a surprise to see you here. You'll see a lot of opinions here and both good and bad advice but it's all Guzzi and therefore all good. The Staintune cans work very well on the Daytona - again, many thanks. However, my Mistral x-over disintigrated last week so the 'colostomy bag' is back on until I replace or repair, also I think the throttle pot sensor is on the blink. I'm on the Tenni most of the time just now. I've just got it some new 'holiday shoes' for the pilgrimage to Mandello. I'm guessing you won't be going this year as you'll be kicking-ass at Snetterton that weekend - good luck. I'm still hoping to get to Brands Hatch for the last race but not 100% sure. I'll try to nip down to your's before I leave for Italy - you've got to see the Tenni, now with the titanium race kit on, (another e-bay bargain), it is beautiful and I'm a lucky, lucky guy. All the best, Robert.
