  1. has the lady standing next to Paul Smart showed up in Hooters thread? no? what a pity
  2. Running half a year (8000km) without a tacho, don't worry, all you have to keep in mind is that 7500rpm on sixth gear is not the best way on public roads
  3. if any problem I can offer some help with Ignitech...
  4. great great great!
  5. Simply great topic! I on the same place Raz had been two yrs ago. Raz, any news about the stucchi tensioner? On Stein Dinse, the set of new chain, stucchi tensioner and gaskets stays for some 42E... Slavek!
  6. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ohek-Ods3Kg and now guess, what was first. The wire or the house? :D this is not a joke, it is Sered in Slovakia
  7. thx! I would not use the old ones either.
  8. I guess some classic bikes are going to race there
  9. Tom, how you managed to get the FBF pistons? I've ordered them also but they responded no pistons in stock. Did they mentioned when will be some number of sets ready?
  10. good idea! I will clean pistons by letting them soak overnight in petroleum/technical benzin mixture and than clean them by soft felt polisher. Thanks for advice! Will check the valves too! cheers Slavek
  11. the plastic ones used to brake. I am not saying that it is the same case as Guzzi connectors - at all, I've never heard of burned Guzzi thanks to fuel line connector failure. Aprilia used to change the plastic for metal ones. And as Aprilia is same concern as Guzzi, maybe, there should be some solution
  12. sure, cam followers are nice and clear.
  13. also add Aprilia Futura boards - there had been a recall as these terminals used to brake and spill the fuel over hot engine. The results are sad one from Prague...
  14. friend of mine managed to get this on his Rosso Corsa - don't know how unfortunatelly. It is a aftermarket BMW 1200 GS quick release coupling from here
  15. will do next year! it is much better when you see the results (dont wanna open the oil pandora box again) so let's see how the pistons gonna look like after another 20.000km next year
  16. left piston after 50.000km I use 20w-50 oil change every 5000km valve clearance is factory standart left piston where oil has been running to the cilinder right piston, also small leak through gasket another view and I wonder where did I get the line on the right bottom corner of the piston... no damage to the barrel visible
  17. thats why I!m asking for advice the piston is covered by 0.3-0.4mm thick layer of burned oil so there must be some impact on power and etc. Same with the head. Any tips how to get rid of it?
  18. Hi! I am looking for left piston (V11 2001) assy - my head gasket has blown and whole piston is covered by 0.3-0.4mm carbon layer. thx for any help!
  19. Greetings all! the head gasket got blown some time ago but oil was running rather into the chamber than out. any tips how to get rid of it? Have tried agressive bike cleaner from Castrol (highly recommend to all!), technical petrol.. did not work. also, after taking the head off, it is normal that horizontal free play of piston in chamber is 0.5mm. thanks a lot for any help and also, happy new year to you!
  20. if you can, visit Cuba while Fidel is still alive (or at least one of his copy). We've been there with family 2yrs ago and it was really, really gorgeous! maybe you'll meet something like:
  21. well, problem finally sold. I dismounted all the wiring, reaped off the rubber and suprisingly! it was full of water! water must get in under the fuse box. so, lights, dash, horn all is working now. feel like an idiot now
  22. every local welder could make it for a few bugs - notning complicated.
  23. mine did the same, so I did the homework and checked all conectors and etc. result was the isolation under the fuse box was too loose and water came in
